We use Shop Floor Workbench in Apps 10 and we have users that will put in the Shop Order number which shows all operations on the shop order.  This will allow them to work on operations out of sequence.  If they use the Workcenter or any of the other filters it works fine.  We have the Selection as Executable.  Is there a way to prevent them from doing this without trying to build out events (if even possible)?  We need them to use the Shop Order to review Work Guidelines from previous operations and they state there are too many orders to scroll through.

Hihow do you handle customer bankruptcy in IFS.When a customer files for bankruptcy I would like the system to:-provision the amount due-block the customer in the dunning system, so they don’t get dunned-exclude the customers from the customer age analysis etcas it can take year before the lawyer are finished with closing the bankruptcy case. Is there a function or a used process in IFS when customer bankruptcy happens.I know that there is a bad debt system but it doesn't seem to solve the issue or have I overlooked something. ThanksSøren

HiI am migrating into Sales Price List Part (SALES_PRICE_LIST_PART)Method List is set to New and Modify.Ran the migration job and all records were imported.When I re-run the Migration Job I get an error ORA-20112: SalesPriceListPart.EXIST2: The Sales Price List Part object already exists.Does anyone know why I get this error? teh record does exist so it should be doing an update now, not an insert!Cheers,Graham 

Hi, we have a product used in a lot of BOM’s (over 50 BOMs) that is becoming obsolete and will be replaced by a new product. What is the best way to replace this part in all of those BOMs with the new part number?If the answer is that it has to be done manually, what is the best way to find all the places that the old number is in use?ThanksChris

Hi Community, we are not able to unreserve the part because the error message says we cannot unreserve the part as it is picked and when trying to delete the picklist or to unissued the part in the picklist it says there is no part issued to get unissued. However, there is a part issued. Is there any way where we can unreserve are cancel the picklist?  Many thanks in advance 

Hi, on document revision form, it is possible to view document using a specific button. Which access rigths (projection) is necessary to have it ?If I add DOC_ADMINISTRATOR acces privilege, it works but it is “too much”. Best regards,Christophe

Hi All,This query is regarding the ‘Personal Portal’ of an IFSAPP 7.5 client.When I click on the ‘Personal Portal’ in the navigator, it gives me the below error. I tried to clear the web page pool cache as mentioned in the below community post.Clearing WEB page pool cacheBut as soon as I logged in as app owner, I’m getting the same error in the browser as well.Does anyone familiar with a similar issue, please?I really appreciate your valuable opinions/suggestions to solve this issue.Thank you in Advance!

We’ve activated the Arrival and Resolve Failure codes in service orders in v15.3.6Astea only pops up to fill in the code at resolve of the activity if the Arrive and/or Resolve time has been exceeded. This is mostly done by the field engineer when he resolves his order on mobile.But often the engineer does not knows what the reason of the failure is,He knows it only if he caused the failure himself (e.g.: car broke down, traffic jam, store closed,...)Although, the dispatcher often knows already a failure reason even before he dispatches the order to the engineer (e.g; parts needs to be ordered, no engineer available, customer is abscent,...)Is there a possibilty to pop up the demand to fill in the arrival or/and resolve failure code when the time has been exceeded at dispatching of the order ?Can this be configuraed in Astea  or does anyone has suggestions how to do it ?I’ve noticed that the failure code fields stay grayed out even when the time has been exceeded and are only available

Hi everyone, Our quality department needs to track certain lots.For this, they need to be sent an email (for now the best option), for when the lot is issued in a shop order.The way I’m thinking of doing this is to create a custom field on Inventory Part in Stock or Lot Batch Master, and based on that, create a custom event on issues from a shop order, when this custom field is not empty. My question is if this is the best option, or if anybody sees a more efficient solution for this?Thanks,Carlos Mendes

HiWe are looking into enabling text search on documents, and have looked at the document content search domain which would allow this. But enabling this search domain, gets it to start synchronizing all documents, of which we have millions. Is it possible to limit this to specific document classes? We are only interested in doing this for certain document classes. Doing it for all our documents at once also seems unfeasible, at the rate of syncronizing we see.Is this possible, or is it necessary to create a new search domain?We use IFS APP10 UPD8Best Regards

using shop order pegged materials with multilevel product structures. The top-level shop order may have 1 or more component rows that have a shop order pegged to them as supply. Those next-level shop orders may also have 1 or more component rows that have shop orders pegged, and so on.  When scheduling the orders in APB we get an incorrect plan. The problem is that neither of the 3 planning settings (Infinite, Finite, Always Finite) give us a plan in the way we would expect for these material lines, and also does not give us a reflective view of the work center capacity plan, as the demanding shop order may not schedule when set to Always Finite, schedules before the supply orders when set to Infinite or schedules far out into the future when set to Finite.

Since couple of weeks back, we are getting an error during PSO6 installations.According to the error the issue is related to VM Scale Sets and Command Script Extension.We are doing PSO Azure installation with interactive login. Have tried with PSO versions 6.8.0.23 and 6.9.0.18. Both give the same error. Have done many number of installation attempts without success. Error is not specific to Azure region or subscription as we have come across the issue in different installations.  VM has reported a failure when processing extension 'ifsauprodpsoap003vmssCSE'. Hi, We have various shop orders with an outside operation for the same supplier. We let IFS generate the PR, and combine them manually into one PO. However, how we can quickly see the Operation Material Allocations (=components that also need to go the supplier) without looking at the Delivery note? We would like to add them to the PO if possible, or at least have an overview of every outside operation with its Operation Material Allocations. Thanks!

For the organisation structure below. Say we have 4 graphical positions as well.Level 1Level 2Level 3Level 4 all with position access generated. E.g. Level 1 has access to Lvl 2, 3 & 4Level 2 has access to Lvl 3 & 4Level 3 has access to Lvl 4  When we go to supervisor access, Employee A (Position - Level 1) -  (Org - CEO 1) cannot see FI01 or anyone below.Employee B (Position - Level 2)  - (Org - FI01) cannot see FI02 or anyone belowEmployee C (Position - Level 3) - (Org - FI02) cannot see FI03??? In Supervisor access setup we then turn on include subordinates. Employee B (Position - Level 2)  - (Org - FI01) can then see the employees in FI02 & FI03 but also see other staff that are Level 3 and 4 across the rest of the organisation in Ops and Sales etc.  Why does the organisation tree not just allow you to see staff below that part of the tree as long as there position allows access to it?  Yes you can individually go through and allow access to elements in the organisation

There is an IL defined by someone and when an end-user tries to add himself to that via ‘Users per Internal Ledger’, the window is empty even when he populates it. He can see the IL in ‘Define Internal Ledger’ screen and also can see the IL in Accounting Periods. Required permissions are available for this user, is available in users per company, users per user groups etc.However, when the user is added to ‘Users per Internal Ledger’ by app owner, he can view the list and do the required activities in that IL.Could someone explain if the core functionality is designed this way? I.e. only the end-user who creates the IL ID can add others who need to use the IL/view the IL details (initially) in to ‘Users per Internal Ledger’?
