Upgrades & Updates

We are in the process of upgrading IFS Cloud from 24R1 to 25R2 and noticed all of our lobbies (standard or custom) are impacted negatively when zooming the lobby over 100%.  The elements will get “cut off” with no ability to zoom.Has anyone else been experiencing this?   I couldn’t find any posts or knowedgbase articles on it.  

I’m currently testing the 25R2 SU 4 update, and I need to raise a serious concern from a user perspective.One of the changes introduced — the new color scheme for conditional formatting in tables — is extremely problematic, especially in dark mode. The colors are now so similar that they’re practically indistinguishable. This completely defeats the purpose of conditional formatting, which is supposed to help users quickly identify important information at a glance.Frankly, this change feels like it wasn’t properly tested in real-world scenarios. If it had been tested in dark mode even once, this issue would have been immediately obvious. For users who rely on dark mode daily, this isn’t just an inconvenience — it actively disrupts workflows and increases the risk of missing critical data.

Hi Team, I have isntalled the IFS cloud 26R1 but after logingn screen is coiming as blank/empty . Any one faced this issue before? RegardsSuraj

We recently deployed the IFS Cloud 25R2 upgrade to our environment. Post-deployment, we noticed that our default mail sender settings in IFS Connect (MAIL_SENDER1) appear to have changed or reset.I want to understand the standard behavior of the 25R2 installer regarding IFS Connect sender templates:Does the 25R2 deployment automatically restore MAIL_SENDER1 back to its default core values?What is the best practice to ensure our custom mail sender parameters are not affected during major release deployments?Any insights from anyone who has experienced this during their 25R2 upgrade would be greatly appreciated.

HiCurrently, we are running IFS Applications 10 UPD24 with Oracle Database 19.8. We are also using Crystal Reports, Touch Apps services, and several additional utilities. Our current operating system is Windows Server 2016.We are planning to upgrade the server operating system to Windows Server 2022. Could you kindly confirm whether Windows Server 2022 is fully supported for IFS Applications 10 UPD24, including Crystal Reports, Touch Apps services, related utilities, and Oracle Database 19.8?

Currently, when designing reports in Report Studio, we require a font that supports multiple languages, including Thai, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. In previous environments, Arial Unicode MS has been the preferred font because it provides broad multilingual character support.However, in IFS Cloud 25.1.3, Arial Unicode MS is not available in Report Studio, even after the font has been installed on the Report Server.which font or approach is recommended to configure a single font that supports all required languages, similar to Arial Unicode MS, without upgrading to IFS Cloud 25.2. Alternatively, is it possible to achieve the same result by using the Font Mapping configuration in IFS?

Hi all,Upgrading a remote deployment from 24R1 to 25R2 SU7 (25.2.7), Oracle 19c, standard IFS-CLOUD-MANUFACTURING solution set, no customizations.dbinstaller runs through the full cycle (kill/prepare/apply/import/cutover/cleanup) and reports success, but PROJECTION_CONFIG_ENTITY_API package body is left invalid:Line 292: PLS-00323: subprogram or cursor 'VALIDATE_ENTITY_LUS_INSTALLED' is declared in a package specification and must be defined in the package bodyLine 312: PLS-00323: subprogram or cursor 'VALIDATE_PROJ_CONFIG_ENTITIES_' is declared in a package specification and must be defined in the package bodySpec is VALID, so it looks like the shipped body just doesn't implement these two functions. Hello,I write to advise that since the company I work for has upgraded to 25R1 SU9 - our users who are serving in a managerial role, where they need to authorize time of personnel who report to them - find themselves unable to authorize employee time entries via the Quick Time Authorization screen.I have established that the likely reason for this is that our permission sets that previously had full rights to projection: QuickTImeAuthorizationHandlingnow have only partial / custom access level.My intention is to go through our internal processes to obtain authorization manually regrant the new, but not yet projection action grants.For our management to be able to make an informed decision regarding what projection action grants and entity action grants should sensibly be granted - it would be helpful to understand exactly what each projection action for QuickTimeAuthorizationHandling actually does.Action names obviously need to be a sensible length, however sometimes a short name - eve

HiI’m interested to have an understanding of the everyday life after the move to Cloud version and how you keep up with the IFS releases and upgrades.Many customers seems to go the “update once a year” route to get to the latest release. Much depends of course of the scope you are using the platform for and how are the borders of each customer’s ICT systems set and integrated with each other.Our IFS scope is pretty basic, mostly finance/ERP with purchasing and project related activities and HR master system, adn we have just moved from Apps9 to 10.I’m interested of you who have already moved from different Apps-versions to Cloud or even you who have moved directly from other system to IFS Cloud, and your views about the adaptation to the new everyday life.What has changed in areas of the amount of IFS/partner support needed, the amount of your own work needed to keep up with the releases and even the spend changes for doing all of this.I’m having doubts we can keep it running efficient

Hello,Our customer has a modification to Identify Serials with Serial Scan, but the scan performance is limited due to the single processing of each scanned barcode.In 26R1 there is a new functionality to improve the performance by deferring serial validation until the entire list is saved.The customer is eager to see the performance with the new functionality and if the new functionality is working with the already implemented modification (or at least with slight changes, without having to redesign the whole modification).As it seems to be impossible to test this process on a reference environment as we are not able to connect scanners, we are searching for other options.So what came in our mind is to start the Release Update Studio and process until we can create at least a topic environment to then be able to test the functionality's performance and how it interacts with the existing modification.But if the performance is not that better as customer expects it to be, or if the inte

The data was stored in cust_open_item_rep, which could be accessed via Quick Report and hence be exported to excel.These views are empty when printing reports in 25R2, are the information stored elsewhere now?

I created a post ~4.5 years ago about the challenges I was having when transitioning from EE to Aurena. In that post I listed many EE functions which were missing in Aurena. There were many positive replies with ideas / workarounds / alternatives which was great to see (the IFS Community working exactly as is should!).Here’s a link to that previous post: Aurena Vs Enterprise Explorer | IFS Community So here we are ~4.5 years later, I thought it might be interesting to re-visit that list, and see what progress has been made... Start pages – Still don’t exist in Aurena. Custom Elements on Lobbies offer some similar functionality, but there are some limitations and so it’s not quite as versatile as an EE Start Page. Doc macros – The “Aurena Agent” browser extension enables doc man macros on some Aurena Pages (but not all). Furthermore, I believe the Browser Extension is Windows only, so Doc Macros don’t work when running on non-windows Operating systems) Structured Docs – Still no method

Hello,Recently we have issue with one error constantly flashing after user login into ifscloud application:As seen on above screenshot, it’s tying to load chat version information, but it cannot proceed. I’ve tried to investigate this issue and found that it’s trying to get data from http endpoint:/main/ifsapplications/web/server/chat/versionAfter trying to load it with browser or curl tool. it is throwing 502 error...Further investigation has lead me into flow where request is getting thru ifsapp-proxy container which is trying to redirect it into ifsapp-chat service:2026-06-25T09:30:06.896462402Z stderr F 2026/06/25 09:30:06 [error] 51#51: *3270919 ifsapp-chat.namespace.svc.cluster.local could not be resolved (3: Host not found)The thing is, we do not have any kubernetes svc called ifsapp-chat, there isn’t even deployment, statefulset or daemonset called like this. Hello,A while ago we’ve noticed an error when logging into IFS Cloud. It’s stating that chat version couldn’t be loaded, as seen on screen below:I’ve tried to investigate where could be the root cause of this and why it is occuring everytime user is logging in. The first thing is that ifs application is sending GET HTTP request to endpoint:/main/ifsapplications/web/server/chat/versionBut, when I tried manually open it in browser or with curl, it is giving 502 Http Error. One of our customers upgraded to 24R2 recently. The release upgrade started on 1/22/2025 and build place was updated on  3/7/2025.Now, in their Build place (DEV) environment, the application version and framework version are different.However, in the relevant TEST (useplace) environment both application and framework versions are the same. Could you please clarify,How something like this could have happened What is the impact this will have on future deliveries/fixes. What can be done to get the useplace and prod environments to the same framework version as dev.

Hello Can any IFS Customers, Partners or IFS Consultants in the Community elaborate on an upgrade you’ve made from IFS App9 to the Cloud?We are in App9 UPD14, we are debating to go through App10 or not. What do you think?We have quite a lot of customizations and configurations and maybe, only maybe, some of them will not be needed after the upgrade.  Thanks!

We are upgrading from Apps9 to Cloud and have heavy integration with custom API’s for our WMS and Webstore.  One function that we use to receipt purchase order currently is Receive_Purchase_Order_API.Packed_Arrival__.  This no longer exists and I am unable to find an equivalent procedure to do this.  Does anyone happen to know what call I need to use?  I know that functionality is changing and converting to the new processes will be a 2nd phase project becuase of how much we have.

We are receiving this error message from our environments.  We have done a Dictionary Cache Refresh but a deployment has not been done for 4 days. Error stack:Bad metadata error:The group: CustomerOrderDeliveryGroup does not exist in dictionary! We do our own deployments and develop in the Cust Layer just as FYI.  Did Refreshing the Dictionary Cache do something from our last deployment that caused this issue or how do these groups relate to the Dictionary Thanks

Hello,Is it possible to skip major IFS Cloud release upgrades to minimize disruption while remaining reasonably current?For example, can a customer upgrade directly from 24R2 to 26R1, bypassing the entire 25 release cycle, or are intermediate upgrades required?Thanks!
