In Customer Order Lines, we would like to use the “Create Task” function to do some extra monitoring of an order line.  We can create the task, but are running into problems if the person assigned to the task is out of the office and someone else is covering for them.  We are getting error messages “Only Assignee can reassign the task”, “Only Assignee can complete the task”, and “Only Assignee can edit the task”.  How might we allow another to take over the task and work on it?We are using Aurena Apps10

I tried submitting a case with IFS on this but was advised to try here first. Please advise if anyone is able to help with what we are experiencing below. We are hosting ourselves on-prem and recently upgraded from IFS 9 to 24R1. TL;DRThe <server> cluster is in HA mode but it is not using the typical robust cluster state database software that we would expect in a production ready environment (using Etcd). In addition to that, each node refers to itself for the Kubernetes API instead of a load balanced IP address in the event a node goes down. This is symptomatic of a non-production/non-enterprise setup. Microk8s is best suited for small, single node implementations and/or local development. It does have addon features to provide HA and other production style features, however, those features are not very robust. This is how IFS chose to package their product, and they don’t appear to offer any other on-prem options. So, we appear to be stuck with it as is. As a reference for the

Hi,We are working on upgrading our IFS 10 UPD 22 version to IFS Cloud 25 R1.Upgrade. This will be On-Prem to On-Prem UpgradeWe would like to know whether the database upgrade can be performed in a customer-hosted (On-Prem) interim environment rather than doing it in an environment hosted by IFS. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could provide some insight into this matter.

Dear IFS Experts, We are currently upgrading two IFS customers: one from IFS 9 to IFS Cloud and the other from IFS 10 to IFS Cloud. Both customers are already hosted in the IFS Managed Cloud, and they will continue to be hosted there after upgrading to IFS Cloud. This means we cannot upgrade directly on the IFS use place production environment in the Managed Cloud. Instead, we have to use an interim database outside of the Managed Cloud to run the upgrade scripts. This approach requires us to: Export (Data Pump) the current database (based on IFS 9 or IFS 10). Upload the dump file to Azure Storage. Download the dump file from Azure Storage to the interim environment to prepare for the upgrade. Import the dump file to the interim database. Perform the upgrade. Complete all validations. Create an Oracle PDB Archive file as per the IFS Managed Cloud procedure. Upload the PDB Archive file to Azure Storage. Download the PDB Archive file from Azure Storage to the IFS live production environm

Is it possible to upgrade to IFS Cloud 25R2 directly from IFS Applications 9?  

Hello all; In one of my recent upgrade projects involving an 8TB Oracle database, I observed that the import operation is taking approximately 62 hours to complete. Within this, importing INDEXES alone consumes around 21 hours, and importing CONSTRAINTS takes about 24 hours. I am looking for best practices, tips, or any suggestions to help reduce the overall import time, especially for these long-running segments. If anyone has experience with speeding up large database imports or optimizing the import of indexes and constraints, your insights will be highly appreciated. Currently, the import is a major bottleneck in the upgrade timeline, and any guidance on parallelism settings, pre/post-import tuning, or other techniques would be very helpful. Hi,We are in the middle of upgrading to 25R1 SU3 from 24R2. In all installations to test-environments so far we have experiecced a bug, the login fails a day after the installation has been done. Before that it is possible to login. Anyone else who experienced this issue?We have case CS0437713The RnD team has identified this as a defect within the IFS Cloud Application, and they are currently working on a solution, and solution is planned for the following versions.IFS Planned Version: 25.1.6 - 25R1 SU6, 25.2.0 - 25R2 GAUntil a permanent solution is provided, the current viable workaround is to restart the ifsapp-iam pod. The RnD team is also working on an alternative workaround in parallell, as the existing one is not sustainable.Kindly Marie

Based on our findings, there are typically several methods available to update permission sets following an update delivery. However, given the substantial volume involved—802 Security Objects associated with 379 Functional Roles—we believe that providing a set of scripts for the bulk update of permission sets is the most efficient and practical approach.That said, we would appreciate clarification on the following points: What are the limitations of the scripts? I created a post ~4.5 years ago about the challenges I was having when transitioning from EE to Aurena. In that post I listed many EE functions which were missing in Aurena. There were many positive replies with ideas / workarounds / alternatives which was great to see (the IFS Community working exactly as is should!).Here’s a link to that previous post: Aurena Vs Enterprise Explorer | IFS Community So here we are ~4.5 years later, I thought it might be interesting to re-visit that list, and see what progress has been made... Start pages – Still don’t exist in Aurena. Custom Elements on Lobbies offer some similar functionality, but there are some limitations and so it’s not quite as versatile as an EE Start Page. Doc macros – The “Aurena Agent” browser extension enables doc man macros on some Aurena Pages (but not all). Furthermore, I believe the Browser Extension is Windows only, so Doc Macros don’t work when running on non-windows Operating systems) Structured Docs – Still no method

Hi @All,I´ve one question, we just installed Update 27 in APPS 10 and got now a strange error message, when we tried to change a weight (WEIGHT_NET in PART_CATALOG) for a part that is in use.The message tells us, that it is not possible to change a weight after there is a invoiced Shipment/customer order for that part.Is this a bug or a “new” function in IFS which cames with the update (we updated from 13 to 27)?Does anyone have experience with that issue?Thanks for any feedback.BRAndre

Is it safe to manually remove the vulnerable components, such as JndiLookup.class, from the affected .jar files? Hi, Is there anyone has experience with customers’ LTU licenses for IFS Cloud? Based on IFS standard documentation, to enable user consume LTU license, only by connecting the users to LTU permission sets. But when customer purchase LTU license on IFS cloud, there is no LTU permission set available to chose from. Where could customer / partner get the LTU license for IFS cloud? and how to enable it when available? Thanks, Sutoto

HiI’m interested to have an understanding of the everyday life after the move to Cloud version and how you keep up with the IFS releases and upgrades.Many customers seems to go the “update once a year” route to get to the latest release. Much depends of course of the scope you are using the platform for and how are the borders of each customer’s ICT systems set and integrated with each other.Our IFS scope is pretty basic, mostly finance/ERP with purchasing and project related activities and HR master system, adn we have just moved from Apps9 to 10.I’m interested of you who have already moved from different Apps-versions to Cloud or even you who have moved directly from other system to IFS Cloud, and your views about the adaptation to the new everyday life.What has changed in areas of the amount of IFS/partner support needed, the amount of your own work needed to keep up with the releases and even the spend changes for doing all of this.I’m having doubts we can keep it running efficient

Hi All,I was working with lobby navigation from the past month and noticed that when we navigate to a screen that has that tree level structure for example: “Project Monitoring”, Resource Management > Resource > “Resource Details” etc. after navigating to the screen I can't populate the tree view and it's just showing the data without the tree view expansion option. Just want to confirm whether it is IFS limitation or there is some way, but I am missing it! Best Regards,Vishal J

Hello,We recently updated our internal IFS Cloud solution from 21R1 to 22R1. After applying the update in all our use place environments, we have noticed that some of the existing page configurations are set to Baseline Status = "Behind".   When we go inside the Application Configuration Package for these configurations, we noticed that all these configurations are not synced. As per the IFS documentation, we should click on "Publish” button to get these configurations synced, but clicking on the "Publish” button does not change anything.  Does anyone know how to get these configurations back to “Up-to-date” state? Thanks in advance, Ashan De Costa.
