Assistance Required to Resolve Test Connection Errors in SSIS IFSCloud BI

I am encountering the following errors while testing connections in SSIS during the Power BI infrastructure setup in Azure for Self-Hosted BI.ORA-12170: TNS timeout occurredI have verified that there is no issue with connecting to the IFSINFO user.Connection to MSOLAP failed:Errors in the OLE DB provider. Unable to obtain an authentication token using the credentials provided.The script returned a failure result.I have attached a screenshot for your reference.Could you please help me resolve these issues? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Expanding Notification Capabilities Beyond App10

Hi all,Is it possible to set up a message in the notification bar triggered by specific actions for notifying personnel when they get tasks assigned in the HSEQ module? Since the customer finds emails ineffective. This doesn’t have to be limited to HSEQ; it’s fine if it applies to other modules as well in App10. Example:When a user is marked as responsible role and the next to act in the process flow, they must perform their task for the flow to proceed. To ensure this, the system should display a message or notification to the user upon login, such as:“You are the next to act on NCR 7345”.Thank You!Best Regards,Oshani

Keeping up with the Cloud releases, how is it going?

HiI’m interested to have an understanding of the everyday life after the move to Cloud version and how you keep up with the IFS releases and upgrades.Many customers seems to go the “update once a year” route to get to the latest release. Much depends of course of the scope you are using the platform for and how are the borders of each customer’s ICT systems set and integrated with each other.Our IFS scope is pretty basic, mostly finance/ERP with purchasing and project related activities and HR master system, adn we have just moved from Apps9 to 10.I’m interested of you who have already moved from different Apps-versions to Cloud or even you who have moved directly from other system to IFS Cloud, and your views about the adaptation to the new everyday life.What has changed in areas of the amount of IFS/partner support needed, the amount of your own work needed to keep up with the releases and even the spend changes for doing all of this.I’m having doubts we can keep it running efficient

Delete customizations from Customer Solution Repository in Build Place

Dear IFS Community, We would like to get rid of (legacy) customisations done within the Build Place, in order to get back to a full standard IFS Cloud environment, as the IFS Cloud implementation project is re-launched.There is currently nothing live in production.We also wonder how to “decommission” some customisations existing in the Customer Solution Repository, when a new IFS Cloud Release provides new standard functionalities that can replace the customized functionality developed and deployed.Can anyone share the right way to do so ?Thanks for your feedbackKind regardsPS : Not sure the “sub forum” is the adequate one, but didn’t find better in the list ;-)

Conditional Formatting - Customer Order Lines

Baseline Status is set to "Behind" after a Release Update

Hello,We recently updated our internal IFS Cloud solution from 21R1 to 22R1. After applying the update in all our use place environments, we have noticed that some of the existing page configurations are set to Baseline Status = "Behind".   When we go inside the Application Configuration Package for these configurations, we noticed that all these configurations are not synced. As per the IFS documentation, we should click on "Publish” button to get these configurations synced, but clicking on the "Publish” button does not change anything.  Does anyone know how to get these configurations back to “Up-to-date” state? Thanks in advance, Ashan De Costa.

PSO Additional Attributes DateTime Value Support

Hello all, In Release Enhancements 6 (Enchancements Guide 6.13.0) there is a paragraph about Additional Attributes, that they support extra data types as DateTime.So, I created an additional attribute in FSM Smart Client using a datetime field (Custom Metadata→ Column Type: DateTime) and added this attribute to PSO List “Scheduling - Activity details” asValue: Activity.Additional Attribute.datevalue However, this field is still empty, even though I did an initialize of the dataset.We are using PSO Version 6.13.0.68 Is there any additional steps that I have to follow?Please provide your inputs...Kind Regards

24R1SU4 delivery creation failed

Hi All, During the Order Delivery step in Release update Studio (upgrade from 23.2.4 to 24.1.4), delivery fails due to installation errors in FNDBAS (I attach the log).There are a whole bunch of errors including missing columns in tables from FNDBAS (in dictionary_sys_tab for example). Customizations have not touched this area. More strangely, this earlier as well as later creation of TOP environments from Release Update Studio (and thus theoretically based on the same code from the repository) succeeds.Also successful is the Sanity Build run, which was performed just before the failed delivery creation (DEL environment installation).Update 23.2.4 to 24.1.4 is run by the customer team.Unsuccessful attempts to create DEL were made by him 3 times, as well as we did it afterward with similar results. Have you had to deal with a similar situation, or do you have any idea what could be the cause?I would appreciate any suggestion.Thank you and Best Regards,Krzysztof Błaszczak (TSM | IFS)

Business Reporter installation is successful, but not "active"

I would like some clarification for the process of installing the IFS Business Reporter add-in for Excel under Apps 10 (UPD20). Based on the “Add-ins” page, there are two options, the .MSI installer or the “Click-once” installer. Upon further investigation (technical documentation), there is also a “SETUP.EXE” that can be found in the “BUILD_HOME” delivery (under ...\build_home\win32client\IFS Business Reporter\Install). I am unable to get any of these to work properly (all exhibiting different symptoms). The most recent attempt was to run every installer that was linked on the “Add-ons” page (i.e. https://server:port/add-ons.html), and it seems to work, but still throws an error stating the the “upgrade utility not found”. Does anyone have any advice on how they use BR and how they installed the “add-on”?

IFS Report Studio upgrades

Hi,I’m seeking some guidance on Report Studio. This looks like a good tool for working with report layouts within IFS Cloud. I have picked up that there might be some limitations when working with custom fields and possibly with printing of these .rep reports. Can anyone share their experience on these limitations?Also, I checked the 24R2 and 25R1 Roadmap and do not see Report Studio mentioned.  Should we expect updates to the Report Studio functionality in upcoming Releases and/or Service Updates?Thanks

How to perform maintenance work on the ubuntu VM's below IFS?

Hi, We are have a Proof-Of-Concept running with IFS Cloud Remote on IFS version 24R1 on top of three ubuntu 20.04 LTS OS VM's, that is setup as a clustered solution and with NLB in front of them (so each can be disabled and taken out for a period of time) I have looked around after documentation on how to perform VM maintenance, but not found anything… I know that IFS patching and upgrading needs a dedicated maintenance window where the IFS platform is offline for the users, while the installation and reinstallation of the configuration is done. What is the recommendation on how to patching (none-IFS-applications and OS pathing) and reboots of the ubuntu VM's below the IFS platform?We would like to be able to regular VM maintenance without interfering with the pods or user access to the environment on top. Best regardsCarl-Marius

Hi All, [Sun Dec 11 15:40:33 GST 2022] - SEVERE: Failed to create namespace[Sun Dec 11 15:40:33 GST 2022] - SEVERE: Failed to install ifs-cloud. Collected logs from command:INFO: Creating namespaceUnable to connect to the server: x509: certificate signed by unknown authority (possibly because of "crypto/rsa: verification error" while trying to verify candidate authority certificate "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx")SEVERE: Failed to create namespace The above error occurred during a delivery installation; the delivery went well in TEST, but this occurred during MIG installation. Anyone knows how to fix this?

Impact of Correcting Time on IFSCloud Database Server While Environment is Running

We have discovered that our IFSCloud database server is currently running 1 hour behind the local time, resulting in a 1-hour time difference between the server and the local time.I would like to know if adjusting the server time while the environment is up and running could cause any issues.
