Cloud File Storage Migration Tool Support on Remote Deployment

Dear @Mathias Dahl,I’m reaching out to you directly, as I believe you are the most knowledgeable person to answer this. We have a customer running on IFS 10 UPD10 on Microsoft Azure Cloud (in their own subscription, not in IFS Managed Cloud). They are using the IFS Docman functionality extensively, with a large number of documents saved on an FTP server.They are planning to upgrade to IFS Cloud (possibly 24R2 or later), and there’s a chance the installation will take place in Oracle Cloud. As we know, IFS no longer supports FTP as a repository, but IFS Cloud currently supports "File Storage" using an SMB (Server Message Block) share to store files.My questions are: Can we use the Cloud File Storage Migration Tool to migrate files from IFS 10 (from the FTP server) to IFS Cloud (SMB share)? Note: I read about the limited support for this tool. However, I would like to know your opinion on whether we can rely on this tool, or if there is a better alternative. Document cannot be opened from attachments

When I click to open a document from the attachments, I get the information message "application server DOCUMENT_TICKET_TEMP_PATH: //IFSPRODIFSDoc/\.No Document file operation cannot be performed" and I cannot open the file.

Updating values in IFS cloud

Hello, How can I update data in one column without using UPDATE statement? In this column I have some date values in format for example 01-DEC-24, or 03-JAN-23 but also some NULL values and I want to change those values to null with using SELECT statement, but I am not sure how can I change the data in existing column. My SQL command works but I am not sure if I can update existing column in entity configuration through + icon. Thanks

Electronic Signature (E-sign/E-signature) of documents - new feature in IFS Cloud 23R2

I would like to make a small push for a very nice and simple e-sign functionality that was released in IFS Cloud 23R2. It's more or less zero install and zero setup, you can just start using it once you have bought at least one pack of e-sign transactions. IFS Cloud 24R1. Document management. Repository types Shared and File Storage.

Hello,After IFS Cloud update to 24R1 version there is no possibility to use Document Repository with Repository Type “Shared”.Client used Repository Type “Shared” and all document files were kept there. After upgrade client cannot access document files from Document Revision. Receives error: Error in downloading file: one or more errors occurred.First question: How to reach the document files after upgrade to 24R1 version if they are uploaded to repository with type „Shared“?***We tried to create new repository with file type „File Storage“, in the field „Path“ (in the form „Repositories“). When uploading the document file to Document Revision, document file is put to the docman place, but not into the certain catalog for the certain Document Class:And document file uploaded to repository is not named by „Repository File Name“.Second question: How should be created new repositories with repository type „File Storage“ that document files could be uploaded to the exact folder of the cert

SQL Error in Adding Custom Attribute

Hello, I would ask you a questions about implementing SQL Select Statement into Custom Attribute. My task was to find list of all items, which have no parent item, respectively which do not enter anywhere. My SQL Select Statememt is working in Oracle db, but when I add this query into Custom Attribute Type, it will display me this error. I dont know what parameters should I input to the Arguments field. Thank you for your help.

Some users cannot view attachments on parts

Hello,I’m encountering an issue where some users can view attachments without any problems, while others don’t even see the “eye icon” as an option. I’ve been investigating the cause but haven’t had any success so far. Could this be related to a missing projection, or might there be another issue at play? Office Add-In - Only save attachments

Hi Community,I am trying to set up the Office Add-In feature in IFS Document Management. I managed to Install and set it up. But I am facing an issue here.I have set up my setting as below. In here I am using below email and I am trying to attach only the attachments. Note that I have a signature and it contains few images. When I try only to add the attachments, Create document from Microsoft office opens up with 7 attached files. I think its picking the images from the mail body as well. Is there anything that I can do to avoid this. Even I can select which documents needs to be uploaded it still picking the mail body images. Is this intended? Anything that I can do to avoid this please? Thanks,Chamath

Report Rules - Document Folder Connection

I am trying to create a Report Rule with an Action to Check In To Document Management. When I print the document, I can get the system to create a Document based on the Document Class. I need to also connect to an LU. The LU is a Document Folder. If my Document Folder name is Supplier, how would I enter the information in the Connected LU field?The Documentation has the following for Connected LU:<u>ConnectedLU / KeyRef:</u> You can specify if the generated report should be attached to an application form as an attachment. In this case you have to specify the LU and key-value pair to uniquely identify an instance in the LU. For example, if you want to attach the 'Invoice' report, in to the 'Customer Invoice' form, you need to specify the LU as 'CustomerOrder" from the ConnectLU combobox and Invoice\_no as the key and a value for that key. You can hardcode a value or retrieve the value from a xpath.But I am unsure of what to enter…. Any help would be appreciated.Gregg

Multiple Document Object Connections in Aurena

In Apps9 we can quickly create object connections between a document revision and multiple objects (for example several Shop Orders). When adding a row in the Objects tab in Document Revision window the Connect Object dialog appears and I can choose an Object type and then search and select multiple rows to connect to the document revision.I can’t find this functionality in Aurena (Cloud), hope someone could help me!

Change of file location

Hello,I have a question about documents uploaded in addition to IFS. The file where the documents are kept works with FTP. There is a single file path and it saves the document in a single place without separating the class.With the change of all servers in the company, IFS, FTP etc. servers also changed. The structure we want to create on the new servers is to give different file locations for file classes and save each file in the file location of the relevant class. We can do this scenario.My main problem is that all document classes are in a single path and in the H2 pool on the old server. What I want to do is to be able to view the relevant documents on the old server from the new folder created for the relevant class on the new server.What I really want is to be able to access the documents saved on the old server from the file I opened on the new server.How can I achieve this without making any updates from the database or by updating in a healthy way?

Unable to view documents on WO

User with set of permissions is not able to view the documents(do not get eye icon as shown below) but when we try with same set of permissions on other user, he is able to see eye icon, why is it so ? Is it driven on some other accesses ? Person facing issues is added in the person groups already.

Are there any known integrations between IFS Cloud any Hyland ONBASE for Document Management

Trying to find out if there are any known instances where IFS CLOUD has been implemented and integrated with a Document / Content Management system called Hyland OnBase. I’ve checked the Hyland OnBase website which lists multiple integrations but the list doesn’t include IFS. I’m trying to find out if this will be a “first of a kind”, or if its been done previously elsewhere

Distribution of documents within IFS cloud

Hello, We are working in IFS cloud v24r1 SU3 In the document management structure of IFS we have a very simple set up. one person group with every user in the group. The group has full access to the access templates we have set up on the app. I would like to know the capabilities of distributing the documents in the platform. is there a way to distribute attached documents to everyone in the person group? is there a way to distribute attached documents to people i select within the group of people

Error during retrieving SQL command

Hello, I have problem with retrieving SQL command in IFS cloud. In Oracle db this SQL command in picture2 is working but in IFS in some cases is working but in some not. I want to put together values in columns “Superior Part No” and “Popis polo” in column “Nazov”. Where is no Superior No, there would be only “Popis polo” after that should be in column “Nazov” “32 PBA ELA” after that in pic3 is working, but when is in “Superior Part No” value 322 than there is in “Nazov” column 309 and not 322. Thank you for your advices

Status of FTP repository in Docman in 24R1

Hello,We are doing an Upgrade for a Customer who is upgrading from Apps10 to IFS Cloud 24R1 (have plans to get 24R2 or 25R1 in future). This is a remote customer who uses a lot of documents.In their current Apps10 system, they have these documents in FTP Repository & database.With the news of FTP getting obsoleted in IFS Cloud 24R1, we decided to implement File Storage for this customer. We have below two questions regarding this situation,We assumed FTP will be fully obsoleted by 24R1 but I can see FTP as an option in this customer’s new 24R1 system. Was this plan to obsolete got changed or postponed to later versions?If FTP is indeed obsoleted and this customer needs to move their documents in FTP to FSS, what would be better/efficient way IFS can suggest? They already went through the FSMig tool’s documentation and have some concerns on the efficiency and support for that tool for FTP. Do we have another tested method in which this customer can benefit from? There is around 5TB

Showing Attached Documents on a Custom Tab

Hello experts, We want to show the documents attached to a specific part revision in engineering part navigator in a custom tab. Basically this will be the same as what we can see in document tab in attachment panel at the bottom of the page. However we are not sure how to filter out the documents as per the part revision.
