Hi All,I am aware that from version 24R1 onwards, IFS Cloud (Remote Deployed) customers are limited to using only Database and File storage.I have a defence customer hosted on-premises in the UK. They have operations in both the UK and Australia, and due to legal requirements, they must store documents in external storage within their respective countries, not in the database or cloud.Is there any limitation whereby remote deployed customers are restricted to use one File storage location?If so, how can IFS address these legal requirements given that only File storage and Database options are available moving forward?Thanks,Chamath

Hi All,I am trying to unreserve items that are reserved to a Customer Order Line which is supplied by DOP. The reservation was made by performing DOP Netting in the DOP Header connected to the customer order line. According to the documentation, un-reserving can be done by following steps given below.From the Inventory Sub Tab of the Supply Tab in DOP Order, right click the reserved stock line and choose the Manual Unreserve option. It takes you to Manual Netting from Inventory window. From there Qty Res value can be reduced to unreserve Reserved Quantities.  However, I am getting the error Qty Reserved Can’t be Less Than Qty Delivered.  This is due to Reserved Qty being delivered to Parent Order Is there any work around that I can use to unreserve these reserved items while the DOP Header/Order is still open? 

Has anyone found a way to reliable retrieve Sales Part Base Price of a sales part via the pricing hierarchy?  Sales Price List: Customer Agreement: This will ultimately be used in the various invoicing reports and customer order confirmation to show discounts without calculating an actual discount percentage aggregated from the discounts applied at the various pricing source and additional discounts applied at the customer order line level. I’m trying to avoid pulling the Sales Part Base Price directly as that can change over time where two renders of the same invoice could disagree.

Example.  I have two shipment lines attached to a Shipment.  Line 1 with qty 10 has 8 in my first handling unit and the reminaing 2 in my second handling unit.  Line 2 of my shipment is not in a handling unit. Is there a way to complete this Shipment? 

In Apps 10, which mechanism allows the Planned Delivery Date to remain fixed while the Planned Receipt Date is recalculated forward when the Mode of Delivery is changed on the PO line?

Are there modules or processes in IFS cloud for continuous NPS or other type of customer satisfaction surveying? Currently we have been using an external survey tool, which is triggered to send a customer a short survey, by an order being marked Invoiced in IFS. The integration is not the best and we have had problems throughout the course of the surveying. Desperate need to find a better way.

We are on IFS cloud 25R2 and have turned the parameter “Create Part Revision for each Eng Revision” to “NO” on Part Transfer Template screen.Why the system never wants to update the first part revision even if it is with a tentative structure and not in effect part revision 1 ?For a purchased part (with empty structures), the fact that a second part revision is systematically created when transfering eng part rev is a problem.Actually, with 2 differents part revisions for a purchased part, you have to make a distinct counting on each rev when inventorying.If we have decided to manage a technical modification of a purchased part by usage of a new revision instead of a new part number, this is really because we don’t want to make a different stock management on this part..Thank you for the explanation about the specific behaviour of 1st revision 

26R1. Using External Reports Gateway. When testing via External Reports Gateway Settings: Test Connection, an Application Message is created and a REST message is sent to the external service.However when printing this error message comes up in the Print ManagerI added an additional header in the Routing Address since my external service is only accepting x-api-key<key>, an IFS only sends Authorization: Bearer <key>.Adding x-api-key=<key> in the additional header section works when testing. Since no application message is created when printing I am unsure this is an issue when printing. Any ideas?

How do I find out what Container feeds the data of a form when that form is a fly-out panel, like this? Flyout PanelI know that with standard forms you can inspect the metadata on Debug → Page Info. I’m also aware that there are Chrome Extensions that facilitate that information for regular forms. But I don’t know how flyout panel Container information can be obtained. Thanks!

We recently deployed the IFS Cloud 25R2 upgrade to our environment. Post-deployment, we noticed that our default mail sender settings in IFS Connect (MAIL_SENDER1) appear to have changed or reset.I want to understand the standard behavior of the 25R2 installer regarding IFS Connect sender templates:Does the 25R2 deployment automatically restore MAIL_SENDER1 back to its default core values?What is the best practice to ensure our custom mail sender parameters are not affected during major release deployments?Any insights from anyone who has experienced this during their 25R2 upgrade would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,We have a customer currently running three Alliance servers, all three configured according to the "Configuring your Astea Alliance Cache" documentation. All three are declared in the Cache / Hosts section of the global.xml, etc.We now want to add a fourth server to this configuration. This server will act as a DSE server, and we do not want it to be part of the caching system.Could you confirm the following is correct: we do not add this machine's IP address to the Cache / Hosts section of global.xml, and on this machine we stop the Astea Cache Monitoring Service and the Astea Cache Service? (We will of course also check the Redis / Sentinel configuration files to make sure they are consistent.)Thanks in advance,Christophe

With IFS Cloud, clients can access the system without needing a Windows-based device, which is a great flexibility benefit. However, for developers, the use of Developer Studio still requires a Windows operating system. This means it cannot be used on macOS devices.Given that Developer Studio is based on NetBeans, which is a cross-platform application, it shouldn't be technically difficult for IFS to provide a macOS-compatible version. Offering such support would significantly enhance the development experience and flexibility for Mac users.Is there any plan or roadmap for this?

Hi together,we are currently in an Upgrade Project to 22R2 and we want to migrate Notes.We found the topic Job migration of Business Opportunity - Note issue | IFS Community but when we enter the method BUSINESS_OPPORTUNITY_API.Write_Note_ in the Method List of the Mig Job we get the following error. So we checked the API in PL/SQL Developer and saw that the datatype for rowid_ is ROWID. Hi Experts,This is about Request Quotation not sure I am missing something here.Once a Request Quote is created I cannot edit the lines where this is possible in standard Service Quotation. It should be possible to edit lines in the Quote like adding more Discount, change Prices, invoicing Qty, adding more lines etc but I dont see this is possible in Request Quote compared to ServiceSee below that I cannot EDIT the line? But no Service Quote this is possible, we can add, Edit lines etc Is there a way we can update Request Quotation details, there should be right? Thanks,KM

I created a custom attribute on the event called “CoordinatorEmail” with the methodIFSAPP.COMM_METHOD_API.Get_Value('Person', &NEW:MRB_COORDINATOR, '1') Then I try to use it as the email address by entering &CoordinatorEmail The field does not appear to be pulling an email address if I put &CoordinatorEmail in the body of the message. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Mike

Hi ,Prevailing wage can be enabled for a work order through the job rate management tab in prepare work order window. However, this is not available in Request Detail page. Does anyone have an idea on how job rate management can be integrated with Request labor rates. Thanks,Nethmini

I would like to ask whether there is a way to control material issues for Material Requisitions and Shop Orders separately.Currently, we would like to achieve the following:・Allow material issues based on Material Requisitions from a specific storage location.・Prevent material issues based on Shop Orders from the same storage location.We have reviewed the Part Availability Controls functionality; however, it appears that this setting controls both Material Requisition issues and Shop Order issues in the same manner.Is there any alternative method, configuration, or functionality that would allow these two processes to be controlled independently?
