Projects Based (Contract/Resource Management, Project Management, Engineering Design & Deliverables)

I have six fields - Shop Order No, SO Release No, SO Sequence No, Shop Order Status, SO Lot Size, and SO Need Date - that appear on the Misc Parts tab of the Activity screen. This appears on Project Navigator too. It’s a part of the ProjectMiscProcurement LU and uses the PROJECT_MISC_PROCUREMENT view: We would like to see this fields on the Project Demand Overview screen, which is also part of the ProjectMiscProcurement LU and also uses the PROJECT_MISC_PROCUREMENT view: However, these six fields are not available on the Project Demand Overview screen. Hi All,In the IFS project module, we can create miscellaneous demands and set the planning method to MRP. Is there a standard way in IFS to hide these demands from planning?In the customer order process, there is a “Release for Material Planning” option. We can turn it off if a specific line should not be included in planning.I noticed there is an MRP Horizon setting where demands can be excluded based on date. However, I am looking for a way to control this at the individual line level within a project. Thanks,Chamath

Hi,In Project Deliverables – Material & Services, item number 101582 is linked to the supply PO O100033859, which is currently in Closed status (Order Status = Closed). However, in Project Deliverables – Design, the status of the same connected item 101582 remains Approved.We expect the status to move to 'Completed' once the related supply is closed. Could you please confirm whether there is any application setup or configuration that controls this status synchronization?  

Hi everyone,I have a requirement to enable Project History Logging for multiple projects simultaneously, specifically to run as a Scheduled Database Task at the start of each month.The goal is to automate a "snapshot" of project status for monthly reporting across the entire portfolio (or a subset of projects) without manual intervention. After exploring the standard functional paths in IFS Cloud, we’ve hit a few roadblocks.Please see the following methods I’ve attempted already, Method #1: The History Logging Assistant We tried using a wildcard % in the Project ID field within the History logging on Project assistant. As suspected (given the assistant's name), it returned an error as it seems to be designed for single-project execution.  

Does anyone have a simple explanation of what the Filter and Grouping does, please?I naively anticipated (having filtered on all “open” projects) the chart would split the ‘stack’ (a la Excel Stacked Column) to show total hours per project - one colour per project?Or is that not the intent?   I’m not clear what “Projects exists as parameter” indicatesFilter and Grouping on ProjectsThis table is used to group and filter on multiple projects and highlight them in the Resource Analysis page. hi folks,Can someone please advise how you did the data migration for Open projects (Projects in Approved, Started status) from apps 10 to IFS Cloud? These projects have in progress activities with different types of cost/revenue recorded on them. Hello everybody! When using the Time Registration window in IFS Cloud, it is possible to create project activity shortcuts and assign a Shortcut Name, which is then displayed on the screen.We have noticed that the Shortcut Name can be defined when the shortcut is created, but it cannot be changed afterwards. The only available options seem to be deleting and recreating the shortcut.​@IFS RD Product Management What is the intended or recommended use of the Shortcut Name field? Is it by design that the name cannot be edited after creation? Hello! Could you please advise how we can populate the used cost field for sub contract line items in project connections/ project forecast. For POs this field is populated when the receipt is recorded. But for sub-contracts it does not populate when the valuation is certified even though the certified amount gets removed from the committed cost figure. Appreciate any input on this. Thank you!

hi folks, My sales contract looks like this & it is in “Submitted” status. I want to move this to “Certified” status but without entering the Certified Work values manually.  So I click on the Certify command. Based on this Information message, I am expecting the Work Values to be copied to Certified Work values.  Instead, I get the below error message. I am a bit confused and don’t understand why this happens. Can someone please explain this to me?  Of course I can manually enter the Certified Work values for each line item and

IFS Cloud. Rental object was assigned to the wrong project for a past period. Cost is sitting on the wrong project. Source reversal is blocked because the equipment is already out on a new rental on a different project (can't "return" it).Two options on the table:1. Project transaction pair with a dedicated Reclass-type Report Code: credit wrong project, debit destination. Produces a T voucher pair, keeps project ledger and GL aligned.2. Pure analytical GL posting: manual voucher correcting the code-string dimensions only. Doesn't touch the project ledger.Which do you use in production, and why? Anything I should watch out for if I go the Report Code route?

I am trying to submit an invitation to the supplier from the sub contract. After the award dialog, I get a toast message that the invite has been sent. However, the email in the Supplier Contact is not receiving an email and I don’t see anything in Application Messages.SMTP is configured (we tested it using custom events and sending reports) The Supplier has an active contact with a valid email address The sub contract is in Submitted status and has lines The sub contract revision is activeAre there any other settings that I should check?

Hello - i have an issue I’m hoping you can help with re. Sub Contracts and Call Offs.  I have a Sub Contract Revision, Line and Item for a Qty of 20.I have Called Off 20 Items in this line to allow Valuations to be created against the Sub Contract.  I have created and certified a valuation for a quantity of 10 on this Line Item. I now have the issue with the following use case: “End Customer want the Quantity installed to be reduced from 20 to 19 - I must reduce the Qty on the Sub Contract to reflect this”.  My issue is two fold: I c

Good morning.I need assistance please.  I have two resources allocated to a Project Activity.  The hours allocation is exactly the same, they have the same Calendar, both have the HR Schedule but when their Allocated % is calculated based on the Hours Allocated, it differs.  One shows as 50% which is correct since they will both only spend 4 hours per day of their 8 hours on the project for the duration of the activity.  The other resource’ Allocated % though shows as 56.14%.  What could be the reason for this and how do I resolve it?  Thank you.Anya

Hi All,I would like to ask if it is possible to - Run PMRP to create only purchase requisitions on the activities without creating Material Transfer requests between the activities if already items are available in the Project inventory. for e.g. Activity A has the requirement of Part ABC for X Qty Activity B already has Part ABC for Y Qty where X>=Y, but there is no current requirement of the part ABC.in the above scenario, if I Run PMRP then in place of creating PR on Activity A, PMRP will create MTR between Activities between B and A. but the user doesn’t want that. So is there any set-up that I can stop triggering MTR and only create fresh purchase requisition for Activity A while there is already the Same Part qty existing on Activity B?Kind regards,

Hi All,IFS Unified Support – Service Desk asked me to log this request here.Is there a way to mask rates and total costs (See attached screenshots). When approving Work Task Transactions or reviewing Transaction Costs, wage information is visible to all employees who have access to the Task. Additionally, any employee who logs time on a project can view wage details for others associated with that project. Personal Data Management functionality in IFS doesn't seem to be a solution for this area. Kind regards/Roshan

Hello everyone, I have a field in FSM Mobile that can only be filled in on screen with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, a minus sign, or a comma.However, the keyboard is open and has several characters. I need the ValueChange script for this field to clear any invalid characters other than those mentioned above if any character is entered.Note: I cannot change the keyboard to numeric, and it must retrieve the value on screen, without data from the database. 

Hi I am looking into a business scenario where we are using project inventory and as a business we need to capture the material consumption cost to the project.Reality material will be stored in a remote location as Project inventory.HTo capture the cost we are planning to issue the material to a workorder using “unplanned material issue” functionality.Work order is connected to the same project activity that the project inventory is connected to. But upon issue of the material via the work order and consumption cost is not moving to the Project monitoring page.I cannot identify how much is consumed at a given time.Anyone worked on a similar situation?Does IFS has a limitation to capture the consumption when project inventory is in used? ThanksChamath

I am unable to attach a Task Template ID to a Work Task Plan in Project Deliverables.    I have connected the Template ID to Technical Class = % in Work  Task Template Connections.  My project deliverable line is for an inventory part which includes a Technical Class.  I do not know why I am unable to select a Task Template ID from on the Work Task Plans tab.  Is there somewhere else it is defined?

Handling of Advance Payments for Sales and Subcontracts are not handled by IFS in the respective modules themselves. Always I had used a workaround solution such as Mix Payments to handle advance payments. Clients expect that to be an embedded feature like Retention in Sales & Subcontracts. Could anyone propose a solution here plz? 

Trying to Cancel Project Supply Request on lines no longer required.Getting the following error message:The requested operation is not allowed before the Request Line has been cancelled.The requisition lines are not authorised.How do I revoke these item lines? Many thanks  

Hello everybody,We are going to upgrade to IFS 25R1 and now we have a fresh IFS 25R1 installation. We are testing IFS 25R1 with our data.Unfortunately, we are experiencing troubles when accessing our projects:The project structure tree is not displayed in ‘Project Scope and Schedule’ page The project structure tree is not displayed in ‘Project Gantt’ page When trying to approve or schedule a new project, the following message is displayed:   “You cannot perform this function because your user does not have access to the project or all the subprojects belonging to the project "<Project ID>". Contact the project  manager to review your project access privileges.” This is true for all projects even if I am set as the Project Manager and also the manager of all sub-projects.Currently we are running IFS 23R2 SU 17 without any issues. I can view project structure, Ganttt Charts, approve and schedule
