Hello, I have run into an issue with a hung POR in an Authorized (not closed state). Unfortunately, I was made aware too late and the project and activity have been closed for a long time. At this point, I am unable to cancel the POR, or disconnect the POR from the project. I’m looking for some way to resolve this, but I have found nothing. Hoping someone has seen this before and can provide some  guidance. Thank you!

I am currently looking into developing our Project Management module for our Engineering group.  However, in reviewing most of the data, it appears that the PM module for IFS is geared more towards product development and external projects.  Our team focuses strictly on inter-company infrastructure improvement and capital equipment.  Am I missing something or is it very flexible?  Is there a better module to do this in?  (I am in software development, not projects or accounting).Essentially, our team needs:5 year project and capital planning tracking including estimated costs with the ability to move projects around. Estimating and planning I did see the capability to manage subcontractors. Tied to some type of financial data for our bean counters to see how everything it tracking day-to-day.If there is some good documentation out there for actually setting this up, much appreciated.

Hi All,We are implementing Project Resource Planning module for a client, specifically the Activity Resource Planning screen. The Requirement is to ensure the system does not allow planned hours to exceed the available capacity of a resource group on any given day.Current Behaviour:At the moment, users can add planned hours to a resource group even when it surpasses the group’s available capacity for a day. This leads to negative available hours in the Resource Analysis screen, which should not be the case, and the system should give an error or information message before the record gets saved.Question Caps planned hours to the available capacity of the selected resource group (per day), and Prevents the system from overloading the resource group (i.e., avoids negative

There is a requirement of showing the capacity drop in the resource analysis window, when an employee is on leave. As shown in the screenshot, when the employee working full 8-hour days, the capacity line appears flat. When employee work partial hours (for example, only 5 hours), the capacity line drops accordingly, reflecting the reduced hours. Similarly, if an employee apply absence on any working day, the capacity should drop to zero (0) hours. How can we build this connection between employee absence and capacity in resource analysis in IFS cloud application? Appreciate your support. I am having a project deliverable structure as below.[level 1]: material project deliverable item connected to a manufactured inventory part with MRP code A [level 2] : non material project deliverable item connected to a manufactured inventory part with MRP code P (or K) and engineering phantom part with MPL part value "no demand"  [level 3] : material project deliverable item connected to a purchased inventory part When I create the shop order for [level 1], the components are correctly fetched from the phantom parts but - again - the phantom part n° is not displayed on the shop order material line.In this case, the phantom part exists as an inventory part, so why isn't it working?

For project deliverables when some equipment is purchased (externally or internally), we have not found any possibility to have a supply option where the supplier ships the goods directly to the customer.Currently we use Customer Order for these scenarios, but that is not optimal in combination with projects.Any ideas on alternative solutions or development done in Project Deliverables?

Dear all,Does anyone know in which scenarios it is necessary to perform a refresh of project connections? I have a customer who occasionally experiences issues that are resolved with such a refresh, but this occurs very rarely. What I’d like to know is what can cause disturbances in project connections that require this kind of refresh to prevent issues.Thanks for your help.

One of a customer I'm currently working has a requirement for  alternative solutions or best practices for adding and managing project forecast comments, including risk management modules, and update the team accordingly Currently they are using a customized tab added to the project forecasting window to add comments based on the information in project forecasts.  is there any available solution to connect project forecasting values to risk management to fulfill this requirement?

Hi all,We met one issue that every time updating the quantity for a Schedule work item details (one sub item),the cost rate is updated also. But we didn’t get the relationship or calculation rule.Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Community, I am currently exploring some features related to "Resource Management."I have created a resource as a "person group," and the group's capacity is based  individuals within it.I planned the resource on a project and made an allocation for one employee in the group.Based on HR calendar, the employee has some days OFF.I don't understand why the scheduled capacity does not consider this absence in its calculation.When using the "Resource Analysis" screen, project managers can view resource scheduling, but it appears that the capacity is not adjusted for absences.Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is this expected behavior?  

Dear IFS Community,  You may have some idea and can guide me into the right direction about the basic process regarding the following. We are in Apps10 UPD21 We don’t use the Demand / Misc. Parts intentionally on Project Activity, means when I asked around nobody added lines manually to this window. However we realized we have lot of lines in the db table (PROJECT_MISC_PROCUREMENT_tab) and we saw lines on the window for different projects. Also I saw some lines - looks like - generated by some “service” users we are using in some interface, means that line is not generated by any real user.   I went through a basic process in our standard environment but even if I connected a purchase requisition or purchase order to a project activity, I didn’t see here that line.  Do you hav

Creating a project from a template. In the project definition I find the created project I'm going to the design view in the Gantt chart I click "Expand". The project has been developing for a very long time. Is it possible to shorten this process?

There are major issues regarding performance when working in the Project Gantt chart. Even a small WBS will be a challenge and for example creating activities and creating/adjusting dependencies can take minutes.  I know this has been a challenge for several years and there are a few topics on the matter.  Can we expect any improvements in the near future regarding this issues? Running on 23R2.

Hello IFS Community,I'm currently facing an issue when trying to increase the ‘Early Finish Date’ or the ‘Work Days’ of a Project Activity. And the same Activity is in ‘Released’ state and some transaction have been already reported. Would you kindly help if this can be avoided or what functional limitation is blocking me ?(using IFS APP10 Upd 22). Many thanks for all your kind suggestions 😊 Tried to increase until 2025-5-31 Summary of the cost transactions already reported on the above Activity.

Since the “Milestone Operation” will be used in the according Shop Order, it should possible, that this field is behaving the same way in the “Project Operations” (Editable). Then, you could use this field in the Projekt Operations and its Value will also be set in the Shop Order Operations, so that both “Operations” will have the same Values. The field in the Project Operations is set as not editable from the code, it is not fetching a value from somewhere, and also there is no logic written to change its value Basically, this is a “dead” field at the moment (It can’t be used). 1. Hi All,I’ve an issue that I’m not able to understand: i systematically have a gap between the part unit cost and the panned cost on a project. Hi!We have a large number of open-ended Service Contracts, each containing one or more Service Lines with a fixed price. The invoicing setup is Invoice Rule = “Post”, and each Service Line uses a Global Non-Inventory Part to represent the fixed price per visit.Each Service Contract currently has its own unique fixed price value.We would like to apply an annual price increase (for example, a percentage uplift each year) across all Service Contract lines at once, without having to manually open and update each Service Contract and Service Line individually.Is there a standard functionality or recommended approach in IFS Cloud that allows: Applying a mass price increase to Service Contract line prices (based on percentage uplift), and Updating the fixed price on the Service Lines accordingly, Without changing the part number structure or man
