assyst ITOM 5.8.4.1 - Support added for MySQL 8.0.41

We are pleased to announce that, following a successful review period, we are now able to offer support for the use of MySQL 8.0.41 with assyst ITOM 5.8.4.1.Please note that no new software is being released for this feature. A comprehensive Wiki document, available here outlines the necessary steps to upgrade the default MySQL installation, v8.0.33, provisioned with assyst ITOM 5.8.4.1, to MySQL v8.0.41. However, please be aware of the following considerations:Support for MySQL 8.0.41 is limited to the latest release of assyst ITOM, v5.8.4.1. Customers wishing to upgrade to MySQL 8.0.41 and currently using an earlier version of assyst ITOM (prior to v5.8.4.1) must first upgrade to assyst ITOM v5.8.4.1. Detailed instructions for this process are available here , and the necessary software can be obtained from the CDN. At this time, we only support the use of MySQL 8.0.41 on Windows Servers.Additionally, it is important to note that upgrading to MySQL 8.0.41 requires updating both the O

ITOM: How to export System Information data

Hi, Currently running Assyst ITOM 11.4 and have successfully set up a WMI based discovery. The server in question is now visible under Inventory > Resource. My question is, how do I export the System Information data captured by the WMI discovery (summary, hardware, software, and resource) that includes all data captured by WMI easily?  Thanks!

AssystWeb and ITAM

We have meshcentral working in ITAM. Is there a way to tie it into AssystWeb so we can get there directly from a ticket or a user? Can we create a link that takes us from the ticket or user to the ITAM inventory item?   Note- we were actually able to figure this out. We can import the URL from ITAM and then just click on the mesh central link

Are there any customers who would be willing to share their recommendations and/or advice when implementing the IFS ITOM module? We have built out our CMDB but would like to talk to someone about their experience when implementing both modules (ITOM and CMDB). Thanks!

ITOM SKU information for Software License Reconciliation

We’re working with an organisation that’s interested in the ITOM suite. We have a question raised during a technical deep dive relating to the SKU information we keep in ITOM against each Software License. In ITOM, we have the fields for SKU information (SKU code, downgrade rights, software assurance etc) – however none of this is auto-populated from the current version of the Software Dictionary.In the short-term, has anyone created a reconciliation report to address this or experienced a way to get this SKU information into ITOM without the manual effort?Thanks

We need to add feature for creating or exporting report for Critical-Important-Normal deployed Patches,This is a major need and feature we need to so we can categorize or filter the type of patches that we deployed, without this feature its not possible to identify the severity of the deployed patches

ITSM/ITOM Password encryption vulnerability

Hello Techs,We have a requirement where ITOM agent password should be in encrypted format and should not be visible by any means.Encryption of the password is to be enabled across the entire installation process. Reason being, the server does not have the password in the encrypted format currently which indeed a vulnerability by all the means and has been picked up by the Cyber Security folks.We need the password to be in encrypted format in order for us to make sure it does not show up anywhere while the entire process takes place.
