When we schedule a Sql report it comes through with a lot of unnecessary formatting that makes the resulting spreadsheet impossible to use. All of our financial number fields have a carriage return and spacing. The reports export fine within IFS. Is there a place to tell the system to send scheduled quick reports as data only? This was not the previous behavior in Apps10 We are 23R1 UPD7
Hi,I have prepared a report in BR and it is working fine from Business reporter itself. After saving and publishing the report i am unable to open it from IFS Cloud. getting the following error: ************** Exception Text **************Microsoft.VisualStudio.Tools.Applications.Runtime.CannotCreateCustomizationDomainException: This document contains custom code that cannot be loaded because the location is not in your trusted locations list: TB1_REP_4108_20230320-110225.xlsx. If you trust this document you can save and open it from a location on your computer. For more information, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=99104. Can any one help me here? [I’m very new to IFS, so apologies in advance for incorrect terminology / an obvious question / etc.] My company are moving to IFS Cloud, and want to customise some of the standard report templates. From the docs and this post, it looks like the process for this is:Install Developer Studio, and link it our IFS instance via IFS Lifecycle Experience, Azure VPN etc. Use Developer Studio to download the .rdf and .xsd files for the report we want to customise. Install Report Designer and edit the report template, creating a new .rdl file. Upload the new .rdl file to IFS Cloud, and link it to the relevant processes. Is there another way to do this? E.g. is it possible to download the .rdf and .xsd files directly from IFS Cloud, and edit in Report Designer; or better still, clone an existing report template from within IFS Cloud and edit that directly? [And if not, is there anywhere I can vote for that functionality?!]
Hi All, I’m trying to create a Business reporter report by using a quick information source that fetches values from an IAL. And I want to take the user details who ordered the report to the report designer. But when I trying to take it using a context substitution variable it gives the below error. BR client version is 5.0.23 of Apps10. If anyone of you know how to use context substitution variables with quick information sources please let me know.
I am trying to create a data source in datasource designer based on a query that I am designing in query designer. The end result should be a list of all Work Orders with a Work Leader that is missing a specific competence. In Query designer, I am able to retrieve a list of ongoing Work Orders with Work Leaders and I am also able to retrieve a list of competence per Work Leader but I fail to remove the Work Orders for those with a Work Leader that has the specific competence. The filter in Query Designer seems to be applied as a final step which makes it hard to just get a list of the specific competence at hand, and eliminates the possibility to use left outer join and search for null values. Is there anyone that knows a good way to solve this challenge?
We were running the BA Execution Server on a Windows 2012 VM in three environments (Test, Acceptance and Production). In the Test environment we upgraded the Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2019 and the BA Execution Server was running like a dream.Unfortunately, after doing the same upgrade in the Acceptance environment (2012 to 2019), the BA Execution Server will start, but reports are not fully rendering. We get the same error message each and every time:Error occured when opening report: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800A03EC): Microsoft Excel cannot access the file 'C:\IFS_BAES\Work\1064471\SER_1.xlsx'. There are several possible reasons:• The file name or path does not exist.• The file is being used by another program.• The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook. at Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Workbooks.Open(String Filename, Object UpdateLinks, Object ReadOnly, Object Format, Object Password, Object WriteResPasswor
IFS Cloud 23R1 SU4I’ve tried scheduling a Business Reporter report with the scheduling functionality introduced in 22R2.I’ve noticed the following:3 application messages are created for below settings the first 2 app messages I understand what they are and I get the email for these notifications The 3rd application message fails with NO ROUTING RULE FOUND. Also the input message only refers to data from report Archive.Does anyone have any idea how is this supposed to work? I don’t wanna have failed application messages. I could create a Routing Rule to catch this message and don’t do anything with it, but I’d like to understand what’s the purpose of the 3rd application message.

It gives below error when trying to deploy tables and views to SQL Server, This environment does have some inactive components. Could you please explain the reason behind this behavior? what are the expected components that need to be active?

We have a customer on 22R2, hosted in IFS cloud, looking to use Power BI.We’ve read the instructions here https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/22r2/050_reporting/400_power_bi_int/010_setup_pbi_int/but not sure what customer would do and what would need to be done by IFS managed cloud team.Has anyone done this? Thanks.
