Hello Community! Let’s all get to know each other. Reply below with these details: Who are you? What’s your industry and profession? What IFS products are you using? How long have you been using them?Where are you located? And a fun fact: You can share your favorite vacation spot, favorite book, place on your bucket list, picture of your pet, etc. Anything you’d like to share!
There are several questions within the community where a link that begins with wit.ifsworld.com or docs.ifs.com has been offered as part of the solution. But when members click that link, they’ve been unable to login to see the content - even if they’re a customer or partner. Here’s why - and how you can access the same content, in your own IFS instance: wit.ifsworld.com is an IFS internal system and is not intended for non-employees. UPDATE* - docs.ifs.com is now public (Aug 2020) Here’s how the wit links can be tweaked to work for you:Replace wit.ifsworld.com with your server info at the beginning of the URL. Example:Apps 9Navigate to landing page e.g. http://SERVER_URL:PORT/ifsdoc/f1doc/ Copy the wit/docs-link from ‘Foundation1’ and paste after your server URL e.g. https://wit.ifsworld.com/f1docs/apps9upd15/Foundation1/040_administration/255_business_intelligence/040_BI_Analysis_Package/300_BIAnapacConfigLookup.htm becomes http://SERVER_URL:PORT /ifsdoc/f1doc/Foundation1/040_adminis
Hi, I’m working on a facet of a large scale project to improve education materials.I’m exploring how an in-product help panel could be beneficial. I’m looking to understand expectation. If you’d like to provide feedback, please use this questionnaire. There are only 5 questions (2 required) and shouldn’t take much more than 5 minutes. Thanks. https://forms.office.com/r/TEuEtQd1Lb
Not sure if this is the correct sub forum to post this question. If not, kindly advise me what’s the correct sub forum. We try to open case attachments from the old [closed] IFS cases that we reported in the past. Seems it’s not possible. Not just me, all my colleagues I tested the issue seem to have it. It would be interesting to know if other customers also face the same issue. Is this an intentional restriction from the IFS side? IFS Customer ID 307435

We are committed and excited to partner with our community to develop a better product. This category is the best place for you to share your ideas and discuss them with other IFS Team Members, Partners and the Product Management Team. We review all ideas to see if there is sufficient demand for the idea broadly or to further investigate them. We will also engage with everyone about their ideas to understand your use cases and the business value to help us decide whether we want to pursue an idea. Before you submit an ideaSearch (please) We hope you have checked if someone already submitted an idea like yours. We sometimes see duplicates here - better to spend your time searching instead of writing out an idea that already exists. :)Describe your idea with as much detail as possible Although we appreciate solution suggestions, we do need a clear description of the need/requirement, and the value it will bring to our customers. Sometimes a screenshot can say more than a million words.
Hey Community,I’d like your feedback on something. The community has been busy the last couple years. We currently have over 20k topics on the site. And while we work to make sure everyone gets an answer, some topics aren’t replied to. Maybe the query is really complex and requires more time than community members had. Or maybe it was a member looking for an opinion, rather than a how-to, and there wasn’t a similar situation to share. In any case, we have just over 1000 topics with no replies. We have members who answer regularly and we reach out to occasional contributors to answer specific posts, but when I ask people to help, I want to make the best use of their time.So my thought is, if you asked a question 6 months ago and didn’t get a reply, you probably aren’t still waiting on an answer. How would you feel about me moving any questions that are 6+ months old into an archive? They would be closed - not appearing in the search results and not circulated among staff to find an answe
What’s the best way for our users to get technical support when they run into errors using Community? One of our customers is experiencing the following issue:When they initially go to the community.ifs.com url, and other times when navigating through, they are presented with the following error on the page‘DI\DependencyExceptionCircular dependency detected while trying to resolve entry ‘CommunityVisibility’.
Create "Categories" of answers – "Answer" / "Additional Question" / "Escalation" / "Summarization" / "Internal info" /...Give me possibility to mark "Not answer" to make me not accidentally mark something as "Best answer" Add possibility to response on concrete post - eg. thanks or addition info, answer of sub-question but not answer of whole topic/question.
For an example, I need to search all the posts which has the wording ‘ERROR_359’ in IFS Community? This would help me to see situations which has happened around this particular error and see how the community has solved that issue? Today, when I search, I get so many unwanted results and the result count is 1000s. Also, if some tags can be made mandatory like the track etc, at post creation it would be possible to filter the results effectively. (at least in the relevant forums)
That user experience is important, I think everyone will agree on. But to achieve great user experience we need knowledge about our users. And the best way to obtain this knowledge is through meeting our users, doing interviews and observe them using our product. To make it easier for us to meet our users, we (the User experience product group at IFS R&D) have created a group for end users. It has end users, that have said okay to participate in studies connected to user experience. They decide the level of engagement. Do you work at a place where you think that there are people who would be willing to participate in this group? Please contact me, email@example.com, and I will provide more information. Many thanksTove Ståhl
Quite often when we send support requests to IFS Support Center we receive the response that the application works as designed and the request will be added to the Idea Wall. It would be very interesting to see the Idea Wall and receive some feedback as of which ideas will be included in future versions of IFS. Please let me know, is there a plan to include Idea Wall or enhancement requests in any form in this forum? It would be great to let the community comment on the ideas and receive feedback about how R&D think about the way going forward with the customer requests.

Hi, I just wanted to highlight two projects I’m involved in that would really value your input. Education Materials - we are wanting to understand what challenges you’ve had trying to find and consume education materials. What has been the impact and what could we do to improve them? Call to Action - for this project we’re keen to understand how your business is identifying IFS updates or features to adopt? Are you finding the right information to support decisions and uncovering features that will bring efficiencies? Your insights help us to correctly frame the problem(s), design suitable solutions and prioritise the release of features. We’ve already heard from 9 customers and partners but would love to have more insights (plus, we enjoy meeting you!). Please contact me through the Community or via email - firstname.lastname@example.org - if you’d like to participate or have any questions (usually a 40-50 minute call). Thanks

I have noticed that IFS10 documentation which was available in https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/ is news removed. As a consequence, the links pointed to IFS10 technical documentation in forum questions are no longer working and forum members won’t have a common documentation to refer.Hope forum moderators will act on this.
Hello, I was wondering whether anyone knows if there are any existing IFS user groups (or something similar) in Perth, Western Australia (or elsewhere in Western Australia)?I’ve had a good look online on Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Meetup but nothing has come up.
