Solved

Hi IFS community, I´m going to give a short overview about the issue which we´re dealing with. Regularly we receive paper pallets, they have inventory numbers within IFS. We create purchase orders for materials which have part numbers, we add lines in ´Part order lines´. When the goods are physically received and counted ,  it is registered in ´Register Purchase Order arrivals´ tab. We write in the total qty received and the number of the delivery note when we are doing it. We do it this way, because it is essential to other departments so that they could download the total ammounts of materials in stock from ´Inventory Part In Stock´, after that they compare it to the actual stock level. Our problem starts here, when we receive the material from the supplier we get an invoice shortly afterwards. We register the invoice in ´Manual supplier Invoice´ tab, we write the number of the PO into ´PO Ref:´ field. This way almost every field gets filled out as it is paired with the PO. We contin

Hello, We are planning to use Aurena (technician/ maintenance portal). Yesterday I received feedback of our technicians that the interface is not that intuitive. I am hoping you can assist me in improving the application for our technicians. What we would like is to view the Task Steps underneath the Work Order. This would enable the users to instantly know what work the task contains. I already know the “Definition” of a Work Task Template pulls through to the Work Task. But is it possible to add a view of task steps? Or possibly the Job Description?  If not, would it be possible to edit the view of Work Details to include Task Steps? (And to exclude irrelevant information such as components from the Task Information?)

i received the below error in purchase order please advise how to solve it.

We want to restrict the different dataset for different users , how this can be achieved ?

We are trying to install the Bi solution. In the tech documentaion it is refered to a Main.cmd that you should request from and IFS Consultant.https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/23r1/050_reporting/450_self_hosted_bi_int/010_create_azure_resources/#upload_odac_installation_files_to_the_blob_storageAnyone that know where to get the Main.cmd. We have tried a support ticket without any luck. Have now been waiting for 14 days….

Hi Everyone, When trying to undo a customer order delivery, we are receiving an error saying that ‘Location type Shipment is not valid for part’This is confusing as the part was shipped out of the Shipment location in the first place. Does anyone have any experience with this error?

Hi,Since App10 upd13, is there a way to add notes on a read only screen ?ex: staged billing lines. Custom Field remains read only although it is set as updatable. If still not possible, do you know if that is solved on Cloud version ?

Our current process of doing production database refreshes is to turn off the appropriate business rules that involve sending out emails or texts to users in the field. Then, set the phone number and email address fields to NULL via a SQL update. We want to keep all business rules active and contact information intact, but would like to have something that does not send out communications when testing the business rules in our pre-production environments if we need to fix or change them.Does anyone have any ideas on to make this process easier and reduce the time to refresh production data into pre-production environments?

V15.4.2.0For a Customer Contract, we can see the Revenue Recognition in the Revenue Recognition tab and by default it is dividing the revenue up from start to end, month by month. When a contract starts mid-month, Alliance will allocate just a part of the revenue to that month (i.e. starting half way through the month will give an allocation of half a month revenue) but that does not match with our finance system (IFS - there are several choices in IFS as to how revenue deferral is handled), so I wondered if there is any way to change this behaviour so that it is always allocated evenly (i.e. whatever the date of the contract start, a full month of revenue is allocated in that first month and the same for the remaining months)?ThanksChris

Dear community,I’d like to know, if in DMS, we can manage different languages for the same doc_class / doc_no / doc_rev / doc_sheet ?Our need is to have one document available in many languages.I know that for the doc templates, we can have a different template based on the language and so, I thought that we could have such a flexibility behind a document revision…We are using the version 8 but migrating to Cloud 22R2Thanks for your help

Version 22.1.1Is there any method to connect multiple existing document revisions to one business object at the same time?Example: At the Change Request, using the Attach Existing command, can a User find and select multiple records? Or is this a one-by-one process?

Hi ExpertsIn the Fix assets object you can define the Format PPp. What does this format mean?BRSophal

Hello,In the case of a direct delivery from a supplier to the final customer ( Supply Code: "Purch Order Dir"), is there a possibility to have a delivery note in IFS? Thank you, Lina

We need to update a Time Report that has been transferred with the incorrect Hours. How can we correct? we cannot remove from Work Task as we get an error How can we reverse the transfer and correct the Task Transaction?

Here’s the scenario: a contact is renewed for 12 months (from 01.04.2023 to 30.04.2024) and invoiced for the period of 01.04.2023 to 30.09.2023. But then we need to cancel the contract from 12.02.2023 (prior to renewal). We are not allowed to cancel a contract outside of the current active period. And we can not cancel the renewal as it has been invoices in the current period.I have tried to create a credit note towards the invoice for period 01.04.2023 - 30.09.2023. But this does not “roll back” the invoice on the contract.Any advice about this? Or do we just have to cancel from the earliest possible time (01.04.2023)? UPDATE: in 15.2 we were asked if we wanted to cancel EVEN if it was invoiced in active period

We are moving in a brand new IFS database. We are currently testing the process to bring from our old ERP system the open supplier invoices in the new IFS so that we can eventually pay them.So far we have been able to use the STDSIN2 external file template to import some test data. It creates the Manual Supplier Invoices under SUPPEXT Invoice type with the Invoice identity prefix being SX and in a PRELPOSTED status. If we try to create a Supplier Payment against any of the SX Invoices we do not see them at all. I even tried to changed the invoice type to SUPPINV in the external file before the import. It thus create the invoices under the SI prefix. I see the manuel supplier invoices created directly in IFS  but none of the ones that I imported with the External Supplier Invoice Assistant. Am I missing a step? Any help appreciated!

Hi,  My customer is looking for the possibility to have a multilevel configured structure for a Shop order, but where phantom parts are still present. I know Manufacturing structure screen allow the user to get the full multilevel mBOM, yet it is not a configured mBOM.On DOP header, there is also a multilevel mBOM, which is configured, yet phantom parts are not visible (because they’re phantoms). Does someone know if a report that would generate the following bom can be built ? : Multilevel BOM Configured BOM  Phantom parts are visibleI think this would be helpful for others too !

Community, how to fix below error, just borrow your mind. For some reason I cannot make an entry to project S101978. I checked project is open and activity ID is open, however system does not let me to make an entry.

Hi All,Would you kindly advise if there is any possibility to clear Test Maintenance Survey answers stored from the MWO App on E-forms. Many thanks.

We have just upgraded to Alliance 15.4, and most of the users now use the Employee Web Portal. There are, of course, some functional differences between this and the Astea Browser. A question has come up: is it possible to auto-populate the Node on new contracts in WEP? With Astea Browser it is always set to the customer node (which is what we use 95% of the time).

Every time when we log in to MWO screen ,we need to put temporary pin . We don’t want to do that , how we can bypass this step ?

Hi,where can i find "matched PO receipts to invoice"? (IFSv10) Best Regards,

Hi, In our DOP structure, shop orders for the same parts will arise on different levels, with different need dates. IFS creates all these seperately. Is there a setting which tells IFS to create the Shop orders once, at the earliest due date with a lot size that can cover the needs for the complete DOP? A bit like MRP planning method G. Thanks!
