We would like to control the ‘Detach’ option in Document Management. The requirement would be specifically to have few users with the ‘Detach’ capability for specific Document Classes and have the rest of the users in ‘View’ access. Further, we would like to control this by window level. We only need the capability of controlling the ‘Detach’ option in the Shop Order window and it should work as expected in other windows.  When I tried the Access levels in Document Basics it overrides from somewhere. I created a Group with all the users and given access level as ‘View’ for the specific Document Class. Then I included the special person IDs into the Document Class with ‘Admin’ access. This did not work.  Then I tried to remove the following permission from the allocated permission sets. DOC_REFERENCE_OBJECT_API.RemoveStill I could see the Detach RMB option for the user and the user is able to remove the document from the shop order window.  What would be the approach to have this config

In IFS Apps 9 you can create your own rules (type External). Unfortunately, there is nothing in the documentation about creating such rules. There are only 4 examples in the code. The question is, did anyone use it and have any other examples or documentation?

Hi, Is it possible to setup sales pricing based on combination of configuration characteristic.For example: If I have selected ofOption A in Regulator and option 1 in Pressure range, the price offset is $100 Option B in Regulator and option 1 in Pressure range, the price offset is $120  I tried using the Sale rule by manipulating the Characteristic quantity as 1.2 to get the calculated pricing as a work around. The issue is we have lot of such cases which needs this manipulation and updating for any changes in pricing is tricky and more time consuming. Any other thoughts or solutions. Thanks in Advance. Regards,Siva

[I’m very new to IFS, so apologies in advance for incorrect terminology / an obvious question / etc.] My company are moving to IFS Cloud, and want to customise some of the standard report templates. From the docs and this post, it looks like the process for this is:Install Developer Studio, and link it our IFS instance via IFS Lifecycle Experience, Azure VPN etc. Use Developer Studio to download the .rdf and .xsd files for the report we want to customise. Install Report Designer and edit the report template, creating a new .rdl file. Upload the new .rdl file to IFS Cloud, and link it to the relevant processes.Is there another way to do this? E.g. is it possible to download the .rdf and .xsd files directly from IFS Cloud, and edit in Report Designer; or better still, clone an existing report template from within IFS Cloud and edit that directly? [And if not, is there anywhere I can vote for that functionality?!]

Hi,There is an option already to export information source as .ins file. But I couldn’t find any option to import that file into same or another environment. I’m very grateful if anyone have idea for that. Thank you.  

Hi,In this flow I’m getting below error “Sender and Receiver must be in the same site when demand code is Purchase Receipt.”… when I’m to move a qty in arrival location to another location…It is not allowed to enter the same site as the receiver even the error message suggest - understandably there is no place to enter location ID (for a movement within the same site ).So, if I’m not missing something, my assumptions are…movements can only be done within the same site Only from an Arrival location (may be non Picking) to a location in a remote warehouse cannot do movements within sites belongs to same company cannot do movements within sites belongs to different companies - obviously since Shipment Order is not supported Please share your thoughts. Thank youChitrangana 

Currently, when an email is received, the format of the contact's name is as shown in the screenshot below -   The original format in the received email, as seen in the above screenshot, is lastname,firstname.   Panel creates the contact in the same name format - Is it possible for the name to be automatically formatted as FirstName.LastName in the panel without requiring the user to manually edit the first/last names in the panel? So that when they create a customer contact via the panel, the name format is correct.

We are using IFS 10 UPD 9,  we have a scheduled job to daily run Manufacturing Lead Time Calculation.  We are finding that it is very consistent from day to day unless the job runs on a day that is a calendar exception.  If it runs on the exception day, it is increasing the lead time on parts by 1-25 days.Can anyone explain why this is happening and if there is a way to prevent this?

Hi Experts,I appreciate for your input on following issue.The Customer has a central site named “UK300” which is always the WO Site and does not hold stock. Stock will be held on sites “UK172”.Mobile user is connected to Parts in Site UK172. Warehouse and Assortments parts connected to the same Site. Work order is created for site UK300. (WO and object connected tosite UK300) When a Task is dispatched, the Technitian can see all task details and his stock in Mobile. Even he can see Material orders connected to Site UK172 created from back office.    Problem is, user cannot see his stock in “Material Quick Issue” list in the mobile? This was possible in App9 but in app10 it isnt?   What could be the reason here, what is missing in this setup? Thank you,KM

Hi, I have enabled ‘affect line postings’ on External Supplier Invoice on IFS Cloud, I am adding prepostings on Cost Cent, Project and Project Activity Sequence. When the invoice is created, in the posting proposals all the prepostings are getting copied except Project Activity Sequence. The preview screen is working but for some users it is asking the user “Do you want to open or save this file”, but others it just automatically shows the pdf in the preview screen. How do you change this so it doesn’t prompt you to open or save the file before previewing the pdf file?Thank you

Hi TeamGreetingsWhile creating a manual supplier invoice for India Company in IFS 9 (localization is enabled), we are not able to add lines when amount goes above 99,999.99 in gross amount column.Refer to below screenshot to understand the issues in brief:Screen shot 1:Line 1 - Interstate 0% - When net amount is added up to 99,999.99, gross amount is reflecting for it. (also, we are able to do match receipts for it) Line 2 - Interstate 18% - IMPORT - When manual tax base amount is added up to 5,55,555, again its tax amount is reflecting in gross amount column as 99,999.90 Screen shot 2:Line 1 - Interstate 0% - When net amount is added over 99,999.99, gross amount is not reflecting for it. (Here we are not able to match receipts) as net amount does not get loaded.Line 2 - Interstate 18% - IMPORT - When manual tax base amount is added, again its tax amount is not reflecting in gross amount column                                     Kindly help us resolve this issue.

Hi TeamGreetingsWe have a very unique error on object screen.We activate the Object with Amount of 500 using manual supplier invoice screen.Post that, we passed credit invoice with Amount of -500 using manual supplier invoice screen.Now, asset value is zero.By-mistake, user clicked on Deactivate object.Now, user is not getting option on only one particular object to reactivate the object. However, when we use IFSAPP we are above to deactivate in Test environment.

The items are fixed asset and depreciation, provisions (severance pay and annual leave), IFRS 6 — Exploration for and Evaluation of Mineral Resources. Normally the company follows accounting bookkeeping accourding to Turkish GAAP. Please kindly advice. How can do it. Best Regards.

I am in the process of setting up users to report their employees times using the time card. I have provided access to the TimeCardManagerHandling projection and still does not give them access. I have tested other projections as well and all still gives them the same error about not having granted permission. I am not sure if there is a better way than the debug console to help find the projection I am looking for. Thanks.

Hello, We are currently using IFS Cloud, 22R2, how can we limit users from creating Credit/Correction invoices but grant that ability to others? We have granted read only access for CreditInvoiceHandling and the correction invoice projection, but users can still create these invoices. Thanks,Bryan

Contact administrator.”  when trying to sequence  shop orders in Apps 10 Aurena Shop Order Operations Visualizer. It appears to be workcenter specific.
