HelloEasy question, I think. I’m using APS10 Update 16 and troubleshooting the setup of a maintenance user that can’t be set as a resource in the resource allocation dialog. IFS help is asking me to check Scheduling Basic Data but I can’t find it anywhere. All items in my navigator are unhidden. Is it called something else in my version?

HiI would like to know what are the process who are working with I Replace or Replaced By.For example : for an approval process for quote, could we use these data ? or is it only for the automatic SA assignment  process ?Thanks and Regards

Hi,I am looking for suggestions on how to handle the classification of the same physical part for different use cases.  We are looking to classify as part as:For production For Warranty For Repair For MaintenanceWe have thought about the following options, but was hoping for any other suggestions:Use of condition codes on the part Use of Availability Codes on the part Create duplicate part numbers with a prefix/suffixAdditionally, the business is looking to serialize some parts, but not in inventory.  Which would preclude the first two options above.  Option #3 is possible, but would require additional steps when we are looking to convert parts from one class to another. (either a count in/count out or a unidirectional flow of shop orders) Are there any other ways to handle this situation? 

Hello,I have created a crystal report for a customer order Pick list, but when I try to view the report in quick reports, I get this error I configured the selection formula to match the IFS result key on the Customer order pick list rep view’s result key as seen in an IFS Cloud tutorial, but still no luck viewing it on this page. Does anyone have experience with configuring crystal reports? Do I NEED to have crystal web services? because currently, I am not using itThanks and any response would be appreciated,Bryan

Hi,I am trying to filter results with the query option. I tried many combinations but, I could not handle it. Get request gives an error. The error is "The types 'IfsApp.EmployeesHandling.EmploymentTypeState' and 'Edm.String' are not compatible.". How can I filter result?   The Error: 

When setting up the Credit Management Basic Date Aging Buckets, what is meant by the Installment Due Date?  Where can it be found on the customer order or invoice?

Is there a way to view PDF files without downloading them directly from the Document Revision screen, similar to how it is possible on the attachment panel in other screens? Is this possible with a custom command maybe?In my case I will have a lot of documents not attached to any objects, I would still like to be able to view the PDF documents without downloading them.

Hi all, does anyone have experience on the process/architecture when building data warehouse in IFS full managed cloud service, where user doesn’t have access to database? We as client are trying to find the right approach with IFS team, but seems we can’t get to right people within IFS to answer us this. Only response we get is that we can’t get access to database but no clarity how or who should than push our data to us to put into data warehouse.Thank you all for your input. 

Hi, I have Unpublished Portal Screen Customization under Customizer manager and now the customizations are under DEV and lock by me as a employee. I want to publish the customization again an need to login in as a contact with customization rights in Partner Portal, but i cannot publish or edit, because it is locked by me as employee.How can i unlocked or change the locked by value to the contact_id. Thanks.Robin

One of my customers needs several measuring points at the service objects, or several parameters per measuring point. This concerns only serial objects. And since the serial parts are manufactured for the objects themselves, the question arises whether I can already specify in the design of the part that the following parameters are later attached to the object. Does anyone have experience with this? Customer is using Apps 10

Hi Team, We are creating a new QA environment from scratch. We installed the base Astea application and publisher so far. We are yet to create DB synchronization and profiles.It is on a halt because the services “Astea cache service”, “Astea cache monitoring service” and “Astea DSE service” are all not running. DSE and cache monitor is failing because cache service is not running. We also received error message as “Error 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.”To get more information, we checked the error logs (event viewer) and found the below 2 logs:1)Recovering loop failed at 9/4/2023 2:57:11 PMProcess owner: ConfigurationEditorProcess ID: 9940Exception: _isCacheFactoryValid = false. Hello everyone, I can't find the entity (SourceLinesAvailableForShipment) for view ‘Available Lines for Shipments’ to add custom attribute. I also searched in additional view of each entity and still nothing.Has anyone found maybe how to add a custom attribute for this entity?Thanks!

A beautiful good morning to everyone! :)Is there a way to controll in an IFS BR file for the status of a purchase receipt?I cannot find the status in the light items nor in any of the linked dimensions.My current workaround would be to extract all receipts filtered for the cancelled status from the IFS App 10 GUI and add them manually to the executed report afterwards and link the status for the cancelled ones with a lookup and remove those receipts this way.Does anyone have a better idea?Manipulating the information source itself could be an option?I wouldn’t know how to do that currently, though.The overall goal is to produce a GRNI Report.Best regards,Benny

Hi, FSM Installer package shows “FSM Mobile Service” component like below in On-premise upgradeBUT, same package does not show the option “FSM Mobile Service”, when upgrading the Azure installation. Mobile.zip files exists with in root folder of the package.Should the same zip file be copied to somewhere else to make it available for Azure? /Sanjeewa

Hi Experts,Appreciate your input regarding the following issue.Issue:- In customer’s Environment Mobile client Home screen is not loading when accessing with role, when they are removing the role then the screen is loading or if they clone the existing role and create a new role then with that new role the home screen is loading but not loading with the existing role.Also, why is this issue occurring for the specific role, but not for the cloned role?    

FSM Release 6, Smartclient. We need to include the ability to add attachments to the FSM Escalation screen. I see a few tables such as PLACE_ATTACHMENT which allows for linking PLACE to ATTACHMENT. Do I have to create something similar for the ESCALATION table? Add a child relationship to ESCALATION screen to add the ATTACHMENT tab? Any step by step guidance from someone who’s done this process and can offer direction would be appreciated. Don’t want to miss steps with creating custom metadata, etc. Thank you

Hello, I am hoping to clarify my understanding of Work Center capacity. Currently, we setup all Work Centers as Infinite Capacity (on Sched Capacity). We run calculate capacity and the WC Capacity tab populates.Given that the work center is defined as infinite capacity, does that mean the WC Capacity dates are not relevant to the Shop Order scheduling? As an example, one of our WCs calculated to 8/31/2023 on the WC Capacity tab, however, we are not having any issues with releasing Shop Orders against the WC beyond 8/31. My assumption is that this is due to the WC being defined as Infinite Capacity.  

Hi All, I’m adding a bookmark of ‘Service Quotation’ but IFS Cloud automatically adds a filter which is the selected Service Quotation when you open the window. But I don’t need/want that filter. is there a way to remove it? IFS does not do this for ‘Sales Quotation’ so why is 'Service Quotation’ any different? Best RegardsRoel  

Error whist deploying middle tier. Checked all my config files and main.ps1 deploys fine. No certificates are loaded for ifs-db-init-certs ..Failed updating database. ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied.Failing updating, check credentialsThis is for version 22.2.10. Any ideas?
