Why is an on prem gateway necessary for the connection between ADLS Parquet datasets and the end user’s Power BI instance? 

Hi,I am trying to create an Object Connection Transformation(OCT) between Standard Task and Service Catalog. However, both objects do not seem to have any common key values, so I am unable to map them directly.Is there any way to create this Object Connection without customization or without adding new columns/extensions?If anyone has implemented a similar connection between these two objects, could you please suggest the recommended approach?Thanks in advance.

Hello,Today, our production team asked us to restore a tab on the Shop Order page that existed in IFS V8 but is no longer available in IFS Cloud 24R1.This tab was called “Operation Tools.”In IFS Cloud 24R1, we can still see the tools used by an operation by clicking the arrow (“v”) in the operation list on the Shop Order page.We are hosted on-premise, but we do not have a development license; we can only use IFS Cloud personalization.After spending a few hours investigating, I believe it is not possible to recreate the “Operation Tools” tab exactly as it existed in IFS V8 due to the data structure:1 shop order → N operations → N tools (one operation may have multiple tools).I have already created custom projections based on standard projections with custom entity associations (for example, to display comments in Inventory Part Availability Planning, which was a specific dev on IFS8 which i remade only using personalization tools), but the data relationships in that case were different.

There is no field to set Doc_Class. I also looked into Document Default Values / Object Properties / System Params looking for a  way to define a default doc_class for the scan delivery note functionality.​@Mathias Dahl do you have hints on this? HiWe’ve just upgraded from 23R2 to 25R1 and I wanted to double-check which version of IFS Studio 18 I should start using.  The Studio download pages all seem to want to download a 25R2 version.Can I still get IFS Developer Studio 18 (v25.1.0691) which appears to be the last 25R1 version or is it ok to update to the 25R2 version even though we don’t need to account for the new EBR requirements?My current version is 24.1.0093.  If I select ‘check for updates’ what version will it update to or should I be downloading and re-installing?Any guidance much appreciated!mmck

I am facing errors while testing connections in SSIS during the Power BI infrastructure setup in Azure for self-hosted BI. It shows empty once the test connection is completed. 

IFS Cloud 25R1Description: While attempting to add or enable CUSTOM fields on the Receive Shop Order Manually view in IFS Cloud, we encountered a limitation related to the view type. The issue occurs because this view is implemented as a Dialog. As far as we understand, Dialog and Assistant type views currently do not support adding CUSTOM functions. In IFS Applications 10, it was possible to add CUSTOM fields for this process because the functionality was available in a separate, standard window rather than a popup (Dialog or Assistant). Due to this change in the UI architecture in IFS Cloud, it appears that similar CUSTOMizations cannot be implemented in the same way as before. Question: Is there any recommended workaround or alternative approach to implement CUSTOM fields or logic for Dialog or Assistant views in IFS Cloud?

We have a number of Work Task Templates that we have built up in Apps 10.  We recently started having the Asset Management techs using Tech Portal start creating their own work in certain situations.We informed them to utilize these Work Task Templates, specifically because it included the Work Task Steps.  However, when creating new work from the New Work button within the Maintenance Engineer lobby under the equipment section, then adding the Work Task Template.  The resulting work task does not contain any work task steps.Using the same work task templates, and objects, we can create new work from the back-office side of things and it all works exactly as expected.

Is there a more efficient method for creating Absence Limits, or can we establish recurring limits annually? Exploring alternate options to streamline this process and save time. Currently, we generate limits for each employee based on identified Absence Type IDs.

Hi,While working in IFS Applications 10, I am encountering the following error when I try to release a customer order with the following configuration:Schedule type: Call-OffLine type: FIR (Demand type = Delivery Authorized)Generated status: Release ExceptionError message: Error when removing order line, msg=ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: The field [AUTHORIZE_CODE] is mandatory for the customer order and requires a value.The client has the Customer Order Creation setting in Customer Schedule Agreement Parts set to “Create On Demand”; however, IFS is not creating new orders as expected.As a test, I generated a customer order before releasing the program, but the error persists.Thank you in advance for any help.

IFS Cloud 25R1In dialog screens within the system, it is currently not possible to add additional filter fields or search columns. For example, in the Shop Order view, when adding a part that should be produced, users can use the Find function. After selecting this option, the Part dialog window appears. In this window, it is only possible to search using two columns: Part No and Description.  However, this dialog does not include other important fields that are available in views such as Inventory Part or Inventory Part in Stock, for example Planner Buyer or Production Line. As a result, users cannot filter or search parts using these additional attributes directly in the dialog window. The Favorites functionality was considered as a possible workaround, but it does not solve the issue. Favorites allow users to store only specific individual parts_no, without the possibility to categorize or group them. Hi,I am trying to Run MS - One part into IFS Applications 10 but the following message appears: “Start date of MS receipt cannor be earlier than the first working day of the calendar for site XXX, Part No YYYY Set 1” As far as I understand, the MS receipt was generated automatically during the IFS desktop installation, and it was not manually created.Could you please advise what might be causing this issue and how it can be resolved?Thank you in advance

In Shop Order Cost, Actual Cost tab, we have “Total Accumulated Cost.”In Shop Orders Costs, there are “WIP at Aggregation Date”, and “Actual Accumulated Costs Total” fields.All of these fields have different values on some shop orders.What are the differences between each?Which field is best to use to determine the current actual accumulated cost of a shop order?Thanks,Eric

Looking for adviceWe’re starting to see rounding discrepancies on invoices where the line total does not match the displayed unit price × quantity, which is beginning to create issues with customs documentation.Example:Stored unit price: 3.46343412Qty: 50IFS calculates:3.46343412 × 50 = 173.171706 → 173.17However the invoice displays the unit price as 3.46, so a manual calculation shows:3.46 × 50 = 173.00Our client is encountering issues when very large quantities are involved, as small rounding differences become magnified in the final totals.Is this the expected behavior in IFS Cloud for invoice calculations?Has anyone found a configuration or best practice to avoid these mismatches, especially where customs documentation expects totals to match the displayed unit price?

Hi Colleagues,In connection with testing the integration to Pagero,  encountered issues related to missing fields required for outbound invoices to Romania. Specifically, the fields “Seller Legal Information,” “Seller Country Code,” and “VAT Accounting Currency Code” do not appear to be included in the IFS_EINVOICE_TO_FINANCE transformer.Is IFS fully complies with the ANAF requirements for Romanian outbound e‑invoicing. Hello everyone,when working in Forecast View in IFS Cloud, I receive the following warning message: I am trying to understand where these value should be filled in, because I cannot find any field for it in the usual locations.I already tries to find it in Sales Part and Inventory Part, but was unable to. So here is my question: Where exactly in IFS Cloud should the “Planned Sales Price” (used by Forecast View) be entered?I am interested in all the analitical views highlighed in red.If there you know of any source I could use to understand the values in yellow I would be greatfull as well.Any guidance or screenshots would also be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!
