I cannot really find a clear simple answer as to the difference between By-Product and Disassembly Components and when to use each one.  It would be helpful if there was a matrix with checkboxes on each describing what they can do. In general vocabulary terms, By-Product is usually an unitnentional secondary product where disassembly would be parts… but in IFS terms, what is the difference?  Are there limitations of one vs the other?  Labor / part cost differences?  Other?  

All, I’m struggling to see how I can remove a licence from a user that has left and how I assign a shopfloor light licence instead of a full licence to users. I can’t see this information in the technical docs - please point me to it if it is there. If it makes a difference we are 24R2.4.Thanks Sarah

Hello,In production processes, after 5-6 operations, the finished product is produced. Depending on the company's requirements, each operation is managed as a new repair work order in IFS setups. The manufacturing material number does not change. In these production runs, the materials to be produced are tracked manually based on the assigned lot. This lot number remains the same throughout product production. In most cases, after a shop order has been partially received based on the lot size (the shop order has not been closed), production is attempted with the same lot number on a new shop order. In this case, while reserving a lot in IFS, a history record associated with the lot exists in another shop order, or when receiving it for production, but you cannot perform any operations, I receive errors. Hello, For a shop order with an outside operation, when it is released, a PR/PO is created! For a reason, the purchasing team delayed the receipt date on PO or the supplier confirmed a different delivery date. I have done some tests and the modification on PO have no impact on shop order scheduling. It does not modify Start/finish date of the following operations. Do you have an idea about please? and is there a solution? thanks

Hello,I’m on ifs cloud 24R1 environnement.I’m working on unballasting automatization flow and I use workflow BPA for this.In the flow, I have at some point the need to close a price line from the supplier for purchase part entityI checked the network logs (chrome inspector) to see what the close button call : So it call a function named PurchaseQuantityPrice_CancelWhen I check the documentation of the projection SupplierForPurchasePartHandling I can not find the function.But I can use it into my API Call in the workflow : I set the parameters I found in the URL Call, but it doesn’t work, I got the following error :  Projection call with name PurchaseQuantityPrice_Cancel does not have the expected parameters.  I Activated the “log errors” option into the API Call, but as you can see on the screenshot above, there is no eyes after the call in error, the log error option doesn’t seems to work.It’s the first time I see this behaviour, I don’t know how to set parameters as there is no docu

Hi!We want to show which user has executed the transport task in entity TransportTask. I know I could enable history log for the LU, but this is not searchable.My thesis is to add a persistent custom field on the entity that can be filled with Fnd_Session_API.Get_Fnd_User() through a custom event, and fire when user is executing the transport task (when object PRINTED_FLAG is changed from 0 to 1). However, I keep getting error messages when pressing Execute, especially ORA-01008: not all variables bound.Is my thesis even doable? If so, can anyone help me? If not, does anyone know what else I could to to achieve this?Best regards, Henning

Part Serial can be connected to a Rental Fixed AssetYou can make a Part Serial ‘Maintenance Aware’ and by doing so create a Serial ObjectThis Serial Object can be connected to a Fixed Asset Now our general approach is to make Maintenance Aware in the same company that owns the Fixed Asset. How can I correct it if a user has manually made a Part Serial Maintenance Aware in a wrong company? E.g.Fixed Asset owned in France Part Serial linked to this Fixed Asset  Part Serial Make Maintenance Aware > you can choose in which company For this particaul car it is wrongly 1001 while it should have been 1011 Denys France SAS, then the Serial Object should be connected to the Fixed Asset A791100003 in 1011 

Starting on July 13, 2024, our data loads started having issues.  We did not have any patching or updates or changes that I can find. Prior to this they were running successfully since deployment for over 6 months. The data load itself has a status of executing with errors.  Each data source shows as Executing, Failed, Success or Submitted.  Most were showing as Submitted.  The BI server errors looked like they were deadlocking them selves.  I put sequential IDs and sequences on all of the data sources and now most show as Success. I set a line to Picked by using Order Line Details → Report Reserved Quantities as Picked.No Shipment has been created, no delivery posted, and nothing else was progressed.Now I need to revert the line back to Released.What I tried: Right-click on the Customer Order Line → couldn’t find any “Unpick” or similar action. On the Customer Order header right-click, I expected to see Undo Reserve and Picking…, but this option is not visible in our menu. In Package Part Structure (the line is a package part), I also don’t see any menu to reverse the picked status—neither on header nor on component lines. Questions: What is the standard way to reverse “Report Reserved Quantities as Picked” and return the CO line to Released when no Shipment exists? If the answer is Undo Reserve and Picking…, which permission/object or configuration controls the visibility of this option on the CO header? Are there any restrictions for Package Part lines that would hide or block the undo action? Any ot

Hi all, I try to log-on to Business Reporter, but I face strange error, which I have never met before: When I click “Refresh the page.” I get this error: I have installed this website’s certificate and this environmental works in browser correctly. I have also prepared IAM Client as it should: I have done this several times before for different environmental, and I have faced an errors when IAM Client or certificate is not defined correctly, but now I have done and defined them for this environmental at least twice.​​​​​​​Certificate are stored on “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” -folder. I also stored them to different locations too, but did not make any difference. This environmental is working on 24R1 SU1.

Hello,My Workflow cannot call OData Function AqEventBusTab_Default() (requires GET) — “Null value returned for key attribute 'Objkey' of entity type 'AqEventBusTab'” Base: https:///main/ifsapplications/projection/v1/CustomProjectionAqEventBusTab.svc Function: AqEventBusTabSet/IfsApp.CustomProjectionAqEventBusTab.AqEventBusTab_Default()  A workflow service task using “IFS API” cannot successfully invoke the Default() function on AqEventBusTab.The same call works via direct OData GET (Postman/Python). In workflow, using “Action = Call” (POST) leads to an error: “Null value returned for key attribute 'Objkey' of entity type 'AqEventBusTab'.” It seems the workflow task cannot issue a GET to a bound OData Function, and calling it as POST causes the failure ?  

the below part was defined as cost per part in the cost level.the costing team want to change the cost level to be “Cost Per Lot Batch” , and the mentioned part have a balance in the inventory.is it enough to just change it in “Misc part Info” ?do we need follow another steps?   

I have a question from the team here: is it possible to have have more than 1 e-mail address pre-populated on a service order (to send out order reports)? Or must this be added manually by the SA upon completion?

Within the APB for a selected Shop Order we can see a list of the potential statuses and of which are applicable to it.However there is no way that we’ve been able to find that provides clear definitions of what each of these statuses actually means. If we use the Help button on this tab, it brings up the window below and if in the Usage section we click on the Show Status URL it provides no meaningful information. We can explain most of these statuses ourselves, but when our client asks specifically about what the INCOMPLETE status means we’re struggling to differentiate that with RELEASED or (especially) PARTIALLY REPORTED Can anyone point us to where we can find an official IFS document that explains exactly each of these Scheduling Status values represents

Hi, In our receipt process, we want to attach the delivery note to each receipt line.This is the current proces: We select all applicable lines in register arrivals. These lines are always from the same PO and are all on the same delivery note from the supplier. We register the arrival. Then we go to the receipt screen, and attach the delivery note to each receipt line (each different part has of course the another line)You can imagine that if there are 30 parts on the delivery note, we have to do this process of attaching the same delivery note 30 times, once for each line. Is there a way we can do this at once, or get the delivery note copied to other receipt line?For example, go to the receipt screen, select all applicable lines, RMB and attach the same document to all lines. Thanks for the help! 

We are in the process of adding country of origin data against the supplier for purchase part records however some of our suppliers, typically distributors, could supply the same part from multiple origins which they wouldn’t know until the point of dispatch.  If we were to populate the SFPP record with the most likely country of origin, is there any scope in IFS to be able to register the country of origin at goods receipt, should it differ to what has been listed on the SFPP record?

Hi everybody,i want to import a customer order via sFTP to IFS but get an error message in application message:. IFS takes the file from our local sFTP server but isn’t able to create an incoming customer order. Both conditions (orders and contract) are in the xml file available. Can anyone help?
