Order processing type is not working in Apps 10.The batch queue is enabled and running, but when a requisition is created on a part where the PO should automatically be created, the requisition sits at planned. In IFS 8 the requisition is automatically released and the purchase order created.

Multi-Company Project Accounting

In Apps 10, we are wondering about some accounting related to multi-company projects. Do you know if both the Supplier Company and the Customer Company need to cost account the hours for an employee before any transfer is done between the companies? If the supplier company cost accounts but the customer company does not, what happens? And vice versa?

Documents in Oracle Database

We have our IFS on their managed cloud services and store our documents in the oracle database. Obviously we have now already about 880 GB of document data in our database (tablespace IFSAPP_LOB) which means that the backup (and restore!) take very long. We assume that there are a lot of obsolete documents and unoptimizied documents regarding their size. How can we analyze these documents regarding age and size?

MRP Action Proposals Workbench - managing early shop orders

Hi, We just starting to use IFS10 and we’re learning how to effectively use the MRP APW. We need to plan our shop orders ahead of the demand date for production level loading, but this creates Early Order MRP messages. How can we dismiss these messages once reviewed, so they do not re-appear after the MRP run? Of course until the demand date changes...

Custom Materialized Views not refreshing post UPD7 install

Hello, I installed Apps 10 UPD7 update recently for a client and everything went well barring one issue. We noticed none of the custom Materialized Views are updating automatically post update in spite of Next Refresh parameter reflecting future date and time. Manually refreshing the MVs works fine, so no issue with the code or objects. Has anyone encountered this behaviour before? TIA

External Customer Invoice Error in IFS10 UPD7

Hi Team, While creating Invoice through external customer invoice assistant with IFS Standard File template in UPD7 Test2 the Invoice is not getting created and end up into error "Net Amount does not match Net Amount in Accounting Currency for Item No XX". The same file is getting uploaded correctly in UPD3. We are only entering Net Currency Amt in invoice line and Currency Amt in posting line along with other mandatory data with the same data in UPD3 invoice is getting created without any error but in UPD7 it is giving error. In both the environment external customer invoice parameter setup is same. basically in UPD7 system is asking to enter both Net Currency Amt and Net Dom Amt in Invoice line and In posting Line Currency Amt and Dom amount. Report Designer Instant Invoice layout error

Hi there, I wonder if anyone is able to help with this issue: This is for IFS 10 - Update 6 We’ve created a “from scratch” layout for the Instant Invoice. It renders fine using IFS Report Designer, so I’ve uploaded it to our TEST environment. When attempting to Preview from the Print Dialog, the following error comes up: GENREPORTIO:Could not generate report: ‘TRANS_CONF_ERROR:Failed transforming report data : “line 244: Required attribute ‘test’ is missing.” The original layout still prints out without issue, leading me to believe something needs to be added the the “from scratch” layout file to get it to work properly. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to query doc_type = ‘VIEW’ from the DOC_ISSUE_REFERENCE? Right now we are only see the ‘ORIGINAL’ doc types.

Adding Ad-Hoc Document Text for Customer Invoices

Hello, RE: Apps 10 v4 The documentation states that “Documentation Text” can be added to customer invoices, however I do not see this as an option anywhere on the form (standard right mouse click on both the header and the line). It shows up on the customer order form as an option, but not the invoice. We are trying to add a note that will print on a specific invoice but not on anything else. Any ideas? Thanks Aaron

Phantom Consume in shop order

Can a inventory part(a manufacturing part with subparts) be selected as “Phantom Consume” in a product structure, not must be a phantom part? when this phantom consume part has no inventory, the subparts, instead of this part, are seen in “component” of the shop order. But why the operations to finish this phantom consume part is not included in the shop order routing? there is also an other concept “phantom part”. How they function differently in a shop order between a part with “phantom consume” selected and a phantom part? can anyone give a use case example for each?

Create Pdf with code. Report values are not the same in that both right-click and manually invoked to the report?

Does anyone use native compilation on their database objects? How long did it take to recompile your whole app owner schema? How much longer does it take to recompile objects when necessary? How much faster is your database now? Have you run into any issues? Have you worked through an upgrade since then? How did that go?

In IFS8-Manual Customer Invoice quantity do not get reverse if we can cancelled the Invoice

Hi All, In Manual Customer Invoice we enter the quantity of the line items and it gets captured as well but If we cancel the Invoice the quantity does not gets reversed i.e quantity do turn in to minus in voucher information. If I want to provide read only access to “in_warrany” field to the request_unit table for the role “TECH”, is it possible to control from role-->function ? Or the only way to create different page from UI designer with in-warranty read-only access for the role “TECH” ? Please advise.

Error when trying to Enable a Rowkey

Hi, I have tried to enable the Rowkey ProjectResourceSpread. After almost 2hrs the background job failed, please see screenshot below. Any pointers will be much appreciated. What is the name of the form/page, that comes after clicking the "new" button in 'product lookup' page. Is it possible to add any field validation there through UI designer ? How the swap function works in FSM ? what are the mandetory parameters to complete a component swap ? Not able to do the final shipment with the issue "Parent unit cannot be marked for shipment when component repairs are in-process."
