I am looking for ways to monitor any changes made to any Oracle objects (tables,Views, Packages, etc...). Does IFS have tools or module for logging changes to objects? Any suggestions? Thanks

When creating a new inventory part, is it possible to auto-populate a number into that field?  Perhaps using an Oracle sequence?  Just checking to see if any of you skilled individuals out there have done something like this before. We use IFS10 Update 6 currently.

Hi All, We have recently gone live within IFS 10 and are looking to understand how to best utilise the Customer Analysis screen.  Within this screen there is an AR Contact field which allows me to Zoom to the below screen:  However, when adding an AR Contact I’m unsure on how to link to the specific customers in order for the Contact details to display within the Customer Analysis screen. Please can you help? Thanks

When trying to make a parent manufacturing part’s product structure “buildable” having one of the next level product structures not made “buildable”, system does not generate an “Error message” restricting the user from doing so. This impacts the MRP calculation. Can this be improved or is there any solution already exist to accomplish the requirement?

I have modified the Purchase Order Print Rep Operational (giving it a new name so now it is a new report) so I don’t have to worry about updates undoing my changes.  Now when I print the Purchase Order, I want it to use my modified report rather than the IFS native report.I have gone to the report definition and “turned off” the native report and turned on the custom modified report.  But when I order the report, the report that comes up is the native IFS report rather than my custom report.  How do I get the custom report to come up rather than the native IFS report?We are using IFS10.

We currently price our parts out to 6 decimal points.  When we try to print a quote with pricing extended to more then 2 decimals, it rounds up and prints only 2 decimals.  How do we fix this?

Hi All, We are currently on IFS V8 and looking at Apps 10. We are evaluating the pros and cons of using Aurena Client vs IFS Enterprise Explorer (IEE). Can you please let me know whether Aurena has all the functionalities (including Solution Manager functionalities) that IEE has or , if we choose to use Aurena in Apps 10 , will we still have to use IEE for certain things ? Hello, I am new to IFS Report Designer. I read the documentation for the images for Order Reports and it is relatively confusing for me. For instance I am trying to add a NON logo image to the Order Report LASER_PRINT_CHECK_REP. I do not know where to upload images in IFS for my image to print at runtime. The current image path for the logo is /tns:LASER_PRINT_CHECK_REP_REQUEST/tns:LASER_PRINT_CHECK_REP_ARCHIVE_VARIABLES/tns:VARIABLE[tns:NAME='rhSysLogo']/tns:VALUEBut I have no idea where or how to find where that image is stored. Is the only way to add images for reports through the Aurena client or is there another way? Can you add via a normal file path like “E:\\folder/folder/image.gif”? I’m not sure why I find this so confusing but adding an image seems to be very confusing from the documentation for me.  Thanks for all the help,  Eli Williams

I am exploring using the Customer Calendar in order to set a certain day(s) of the week that we can ship to a specific customer address. I have set up a schedule and calendar and assigned it to a customer address. The logic does seem to be working as I thought it would but I only get an Information Message popup stating “Planned Delivery Date is not on a working day according to the customer calendar, the next working day is 15-FEB-21”.  I click ok and the dates still default to the non working day. All of our parts are set up to use the availability check so our lead times (mfg, picking etc..) are used to determine the planned ship dates. So my question is does the Customer Calendar have any functionality behind it besides a pop up message? Is there something else I’m missing in the set up?

I’ve created a new shop order by following a training doc support. I’ve got the following error message : “Structure Revision is null. Issuing is not allowed”. And during the flow, the following question (Popup) appears : “The shop order is for revision of part XXX-YYY. The location you selected in row 1 have different revison for the part. Do you want to continue?” I’ve answerd yes after checking that they are both rev 1. All advices are welcome. Thank you. 

Hi All,In the upgrade from APP8 to APP10, existing PM Actions and Work Orders were converted to the new Work Task method by creating a multiple Work Tasks with one individual Resource for every Tools and Facilities attached to the APP8 record. We would like to have one Work Task created with each of the Tools and Facilities added to the Resources tab. Is this possible? 

One of our users mistakenly raised a CO with a lot of lines to the wrong customer, invoiced and closed it. Now we’ll have to raise an RMA and approve for credit. That can be done. However is there an easy way in IFS, maybe at RMA level to ‘transfer’ the parts to the new customer rather than returning parts to the inventory and reserving them again for the new CO with new customer info? Question might sound stupid, but noticed that this has happened quite a few times in our warehouse so thought of looking at ‘easy ways’ to assist our colleagues when they repeat this mistake. :)

Hello,I would like to be able to print one of the “main” IFS reports to PDF and be able to access the PDF -- from outside of IFS. For example, I would like to be able to print a Purchase Order and have access to the generated PDF, from a custom-build .NET program (C#).I turned on the debugger in IEE, and after the popup comes up to print, preview, or email the Purchase Order, there is no output in the debugger. So, I cannot tell what is being called to generate the PDF. But the Windows IEE client must be telling Oracle what to do in order for the PDF to be created, no?The bottom line is that I would like to use Oracle package method calls to generate and access the PDF representing a document such as this. I don’t want to re-create the whole purchase order report outside of IFS when the default P.O. is already a good start, and the PDF format is acceptable.How to I generate a PDF and access it from outside IFS via Oracle API calls? Thanks,Joe Kaufman

Hi, I want to create a Lobby Data Source which shows the sum of values stored in 3 views. Therefore, I need to create an IAL. But I struggle to get the desired result. I created the SQL Statement in the SQL Query Tool and it gives the result I want. Hi , Does Some one have document to map MT940DE file fortmat data.? The stanard F1 help doesn’t describes the tags or subtags need to be used for different data set. Such as if you need the rejected payer number for customer difference items, how to place it in file, etc. It’s bit of struggle with file mapping. regards, Praveen

Hello All, I’m writing an Event that I want to trigger when a date field goes from having no value to having a value.Can anyone help with condition syntax I need to use as the below is getting the following error message.  

Is it possible to set the system up to automate the matching of PO receipts to Invoices in IFS 10. Here is our scenario.We enter a purchase order and send to the supplier.The supplier ships the product and emails us the invoice.We enter the invoice into the system.A week or more later the product arrives on the dock.Is it possible to have that receipt automatically match to the pre-existing invoice?  

When we are using the comprehensive split function in shop order to split shop orders in the middle of the production process. Is it possible for the “Split Catch Qty” to be automatically fetched since it takes a considerable time to manually enter the “Split Catch Qty” to the material lines. Is this the expected functionality of the application or are we able to make it fetch the catch quantities automatically?
