I have a manufactured part I only want to build when I have actual demand, not to forecast. I would use a planning method of next level demand, however, there are very long lead times for the purchased raw material to build the component and I would like the Finished Good forecast to drive requirements for the purchased material. Consider this example…Finished Good – BikeManufactured Component – WheelPurchased – Tire I want to purchase enough tires to support the Finished good demand. However, I don’t want to assemble the wheels unless there is actual demand for the bike. Reason being there is a very long lead time on tires and a very high cost of assembling wheels.Is it possible to not have MRP generate requisitions for the component or finished good, but still generate purchase reqs for raw materials? Is it possible to accomplish this, and still have the make parts included in CRP?

Listed here is what I can tell is the list I have available to myself to search for approvals.  I don’t see where I can search approvals on projects or requisitions.  Anyone know if this is an option?

We use Call Centre Cases extensively and we control access internally using Support Organisations and Case Types of “Local”. This stops Users from seeing Cases that should be limited from their access.We are now looking to use Global Solutions but the same access controls do not seem to exist. It appears that regardless of your Support Organisation access you are able to see all Global Solutions and edit them if the permission sets allow it. Is anyone aware of any method for controlling access on which Global Solutions Users can see?

Hi All, In IFS Applications 10, when statuses are updated on Work Tasks the Work Order status does not follow the Work Tasks progress fully.​Work Order and Work Task statuses follow each other in the process, but not to status Finished. New functionality is added to let user decide if the Work Orders should get status Finished when all connected Work Tasks are set to status Finished or Cancelled.​ I would like to know whether there is a setting to change this behavior? Thanks & Best Regards,Nipun

Hi All, We are about to GoLive on IFS10 and are looking to understand the functionality of the credit management system. We have set up our collection path and our reminder letters etc but we would like to understand if we can place a query on invoices at customer level. For example, their product is not to the spec requested and as such they will not be paying us until the issue is resolved, we would place the customer in query and as such our aged debt report would exclude the queried customer. We think we’ve found a way of doing this at invoice level, but are intrigued to know if we can do it at a higher customer level? Thanks in advance!

I have downloaded and validated some BR reports from a TEST DB and want to move then to LIVE. I`ve tried just opening the file from the download location and also importing but not having any success, is there a particular method I should follow for this?

When Report Execution Window is displayed after a short time we are receiving the (Not Responding).  We are getting continual time-outs and freezing when fetching data from server.

I have created 2 new contexts/scopes within Aurena based on job functions for 2 areas within our company. - Invoice Entry & Invoice Authorization.I am having an issue with context mappings. I know that the attributes that can be used to map a context are: Company, WageClass, Ledger, UserGroup, User.I have only been able to get the appropriate context to apply when I map with Company and WageClass (which won’t really work for us). And Company, while it does work, won’t really work for us since users in the 2 job functions could be in the same company.So,for the User attribute, what is considered ‘user’? I have tried Identity/Database ID, Directory ID (we use SSO) and I still cannot get the context to apply once logged in.For Usergroup, is this referring to a User account usergroups? If so, I have tried USERGROUP = 100 and have had no luck. I even tried a Finance User group just in case...same failed result.And for the last option, Ledger, I am not sure what that is referring to and 

Hello,I have an application-server-task setup for job-type = ‘QuickReport’.I select the QuickReport I need, but the system incorrectly specifies the SQL statement, i.e. SQL statement does not match the selected report. I have to go through all the reports and look for the correct SQL statement. 1.Please tell me how to fix this or maybe the IFS has already released a patch to solve this problem? 2.I created the Schedule for this task and then receive the email message, but I don’t know why the application message is in ‘Waiting’ status even though the message has already been delivered and the message was sent repeatedly, but the status never changed. What setting should be done so that the answer comes and the status changes to ‘Finished’?I would like to note that the system sends messages triggered by events and there the message receives the completed status ‘Finished’. Thanks and best regards,Anastassia

Hello All,Just wanted to get a confirmation, if there is a Service Report option in mWO 10 RTM version.In Aurena when you are about to complete i can see the Service Report option, or even in status bar as well.In Apps 9 also, when we are about to complete i could see the ‘Service Report’ Option.   Am i correct to think that for apps 10 RTM version that the service report functionality is not available?I’ve checked the permissions but couldn't find any option except for the WFC.Is that the only way available for Service Reports as well? Thanks in advance,Vinu.

Hi, Can I create multiple cheque for multiple invoices for a supplier though payment proposal? I tried; it is working when the suppliers are different. for a single supplier, system is creating single cheque regardless of invoices. Thanks in advance Polash

When in Business Lead and select RMB > Convert Lead a dialogue box appears where you select the Customer Category and can enter the Cust Stat Grp etc.,  On clicking OK the Customer is created and the Lead is deleted.Finally, a message appears:  I cannot see where this Question is being executed from.The reason for asking is because we want to convert Business Leads to Customer Category ‘Prospect’ only so have created a Custom Menu that basically feeds the Business_Lead_API.Convert_Lead__ and the Customer Category ‘Prospect’ is passed. Can anyone please advise.Thanking you in advance.

I’m looking to schedule a database task for 8 AM, 12 PM, & 4 PM. They don’t want me to set a 4 hour interval because they don’t want notifications in the evening and overnight. Is this something that I can achieve with the custom option? If so, how? I’d gladly accept any other ideas on how to do this. It’s a system message, so I don’t think I can just make 2 copies of it. thanksMike

When the user is trying to print a ‘Supplier Payment Proposal’, when clicking OK on the ‘Payment Proposal Report Parameters’, the error message ‘You are not allowed to execute the report’. I have looked in Permission sets and can’t see anywhere where it is restricted. The printing works in EE but not in Aurena, I can’t figure out the projection it requires.

Hi Experts,The synchronization rules contains the Entity for related to specific application and version. For an example if we take ServiceEngApp, 1.7. Each entity has a default delivery method and will select a batch entity "MobileClientSecurity". Sync Rules For the above entity the default schedule is that it will sync for every 30 minutes interval. The Batch schedule for the ServiceEngApp 1.7 is every 15 minutes. Batch ScheduleLets Imagine that the batch schedule ran at 12:00 (Batch-1) and MobileClientSecurity entity has been synced in this batch schedule. The next schedule will run on 12:15 (Batch-2). But during Batch-2 the MobileClientSecurity entity should not sync as its default interval is 30 mins. When the Batch-3 runs (at 12:30) then the delta of MobileClientSecurity will be synced.The question I am having is that, how will the application will track that only some specific batch entities should be synced when it is executed ?( In above example, Batch-1 and Batch-3 will sync

If I am working on a Contract Quotation, Customer Contract, Service Order or Customer Support Order, I can easily change the Payment Terms by just going to the Billing tab and changing it in the Payment Terms field but when working on a Field Quotation, there is no field available to change/set the payment terms when a change was agreed with the customer (other than changing in Customer Center and re-adding the customer to the FQ)Is there a setting somewhere to make that available?  We are using 14.0.0.24 currently (V14.5)

Hello, I am investigating the S&OP module of IFS and noticed something unusual, though it might come from me misunderstanding the data.Our Business runs mainly on a MTO methodology. So when I Setup a Product Family and create a S&OP Period and run the Calculations I end up seeing negative Backlog numbers which seems rather odd since all our Shop Orders are pegged to the Customer Orders. When run for the whole 2021-06 Period i get Negative numbers in the “New Backlog Plan” and “Actual Backlog” columns. The Period calculates with a 18 month Forward planning horizon. and 0 Days for Target Backlog .Can someone help clarify if this is working as intended? Looking forward to some Help.

Customer have Shipment creation at "Pick List Creation". When Transit Purchase Orders are received the customer order line is automatically reserved - but the picklist is not created, causing the transit line not to be added to the Shipment automatically.  The picklist now needs to be created manually to add the lines to Shipment, is a an event needed to get this done automatically ?  (OrderType + ShipmentType should run through this)Example: Customer order with 2 lines, one "Invent Order" and one "Purch Order Trans". When ""Invent" line is reserved it is automaticly creating picklist and Shipment (due to Ordertype). When the "Transit" line is received into inventory it is only reserved, but the picklist is not created, causing the line not to be added to Shipment.

For example:If you have the same part in two companies/sites. In the Aurena client, first set the search criteria to one site. Then run the search for the part number.Both the parts from the two companies/sites are fetched for the query results regardless of the previously set site search criteria.In IEE client this filtration is available and only the part corresponding to the filtration criteria which was set initially will be displayed.

In App10 Quality Management/Quality Control/Basic Data/Quality Basic Data  - Part window the part lines cannot be deleted as shown below.  However, this functionality is available in App9. Refer below screen capture. Any reason for this change in App10 when compared to App9? 

User  properties functionality available in IEE as below.  can define new property using above. Is there same or  similar functionality available in  App10 Aurena /Cloud21R1? Advance Thanks./Wasana

We are working on our Upgrade to Apps10 UPD9 (from Apps8). This post is related to mWO Service 10 - Aurena Native app and Mobile Surveys.We configured Surveys based on the very light documentation we were provided. Help Pages in Aurena don’t work, confirmed by IFS. If anyone has detailed documentation of any kind on this, it would be very much appreciated.The Survey and Workflow Config, as far as we can tell, is set up properly but reaching out for community input here, along with a formal, pending IFS support request. All Synchronized Entities syncs are up-to-date. I just filtered for anything with ‘Surv%’.  Survey Configuration:The Survey is PublishedSurvey Workflow Type selected “Work Start”; this means the Survey should pop up when the user presses Start Work on the MWO. I did try other statuses for testing, but none of them worked and ultimately this is what we need.The Work Task Assignment in the mWO App is in ‘Work Started’ status.
