Hi,I’m Using IFSAPP and has HR Application Manager Access as well. However, now I’m not able to uncheck this boxes in Protected Info. Also note that, Protected checkbox is neither checked in ‘Person’ window for any person nor in ‘Employee Files’ in window in any employee.Any guesses?Thank You

Can someone guide me where I can find the setting for either Auto Close or Manually Close? 

Is there any reason why we have to unchcek this box if it was created with it checked?  I could not find any system limitations if it stays checked. 

I have read all of the existing Custom Event topics and don’t see anything that helps me with this. I believe it is a simple syntax issue but have tried everything I can think of, unsuccessfully. I am trying to calculate the cost of overissued material for a shop order component at the time it is overissued. It is all working fine, including custom attributes until I try to add one of the custom attributes to a calculation: The Attribute ‘Part Cost’ is calculating correctly and the Over_Cost attribute works until I add * Part_Cost  (to multiply the result of Qty_Issued - Qty_required times the part cost). When I add that Part Cost to the Over_Cost attribute, the event will no longer trigger. I have tried to specific Part_Cost in the calculation as Part_Cost and  :Part_cost  and &Part_Cost and “Part_Cost” and :NEW.Part_Cost and get varying errors with each.      Any syntax help is greatly appreciated. Hi Is it somehow possible to simplify this proces of dropping files into IFS ?The users in my team asks if possible for IFS to automatically recognize the document class, while dropping files in IFS ?Any knowlegde or experience of such thing  - anybody ? Br,Marianne

I am stumped. Can someone help or point me where to figure out how I can drop a file into the file reader, read it in, and create a new record in a custom logic unit?I know I could do this with existing LUs using BizAPI but the LU I’m using is custom and has no BizAPI for it.

Hello, I have noticed an issue with Shop Orders that require an outside service. Often times we may choose to over run a shop order. So, an SO may start with an original Lot Size of 100, however we will run 150 parts. The issue with this practice is that the connected Purchase Order for the outside service does not increase to match the new lot size. I have reviewed the help section in IFS, but I do not see where or if the ability exists to ensure the PO increases with SO quantity. When this issue occurs, we are unable to receive all of the parts in from the supplier. We will then have to manually adjust the PO to match the qty, which causes significant administrative overhead. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

I was able to create the shell of a work order for a branch ie General and CO Info tabs. As part of this, I also selected the Finish with Task selection like mentioned below.Then I was able to save the Work Order as a template (see attached document)But I can only get them to show up in My Administration\Template…for ‘my’ profile.I can’t see a way to share them so that they are available for everyone when you click the ‘New’ icons options.Anyone do any work with these types of templates before?

I want to delete original Object Group, but I have this error:“The Fa Object Group is used by 1 rows in another object (Fa Ogrp Met Per Book)”There is no object created yet, and I don’t know what I have to do because “Fa Ogrp Met Per Book” doesn’t mean anything, and there is no menu with “Book” or “Ogrp” when I use the search bar…And no, Ogrp is not an error, it’s exactly what is written…Thanks a lot

Hi!I am trying to set up a “advance payment” Payment term to use for sales. My plan was that when the order is completed the invoice would be printed and sent to the customer immediately but shipping would not be possible (end up in blocked customer orders).I have set up a Payment term with 0 days to due date, but it still seems that shipment is still processed in some cases. do anyone have any suggestions on which other things I have to review and fix for this to work...

What can be wrong if you can't see Element ID?You will normally see it on the left bottom side of the application if you put cursor on the column, but it shows a lock icon instead.Lock icon:  

The Task completion checkbox must be unchecked or Progress set to 0% before the Activity can be set to Canceled. The Task will then be deleted and there are no track on actually performed tasks on the canceled activity.The core functionality of deleting tasks is more suitable for Deleting a Project Activity than cancel of an activity when looking at an option to cancel a started activity. Test Scenarios:1. Create a project activity, set to status approved2. add a task with checkbox Completed set on the activity3. add a task with a progress between 0% and 100% on the activity4. Change status on the activity to Canceled (RMB/Status from the activity head)5. Verify, not possible to cancel activity due to task progress >0%-> Need to change task progress to 0% before Activity can be canceled and then all tasks are deleted -> No track on already performed work. Should It be possible to cancel an activity where you have reported progress on tasks ?

When it comes to APB related issues, there are some issues raised due to end user specific machine settings. For example my operating system is windows US whilst the customer windows OS is a different. Q: Is there any way to create similar kind of environment settings in our local machine

We have used the UI designer to override a Global_Code lookup list for field PROJECT.APPROVAL_STATUS.  However, it will not let us save those values that do not also exist in the default Global_Code list.  Am i missing something? I have tried setting it up in the Custom Metadata, but to no avail.

Hi,I have previously worked in SAP where POs could be directly outputted from the ERP PO Creation to the vendor’s email, using the vendor master’s populated email address.I love IFS thus far a month in to learning it.  I however am asking if IFS has the same functionality to output POs directly to the vendor’s email address, automatically populated from the populated supplier (vendor master) email address in IFS.The goal is for ease, reduce steps, and save time.  Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Has anyone changed from Manual to Automatic Serial numbering, having chosen Manual initially and have historic Manual transactions?  “Help” seems to indicate you can … … but we have tried and encounter this message… Any feedback/information/advice/workaround suggestions would be appreciated. We are on Apps9 Linda 

We have a site that have entered new prices into the pricelists manually for many years.Adding a new price list line and leaving the old price as-is, without ‘closing’ the old price with a ‘Valid to’ date. Now we want to close the old prices by adding a ‘Valid to’ date to all price list lines that has a newer price. Is there a function in IFS to close old pricelist lines? Or do we have to this with SQL or migration job?

Hi,The license  LTU_HR_SELF_SERVICE provides a limited access to IFS Employee Self Service for employees who only register time, vacation and expense claims.Do you know if it would be possible to add a screen such as Project Time Registration to this license ? So it can be accessible as well by employees. Theoretically, this screen does not propose more features than the classic Time Registration Screen.Thanks.Ludovic

Hi, If there is a price difference between the purchase order line and the supplier invoice, a price difference posting will be created automatically, with transaction code M93.Then we have to posting lines on the supplier invoice, but the line with price difference will not be updatet as a cost on WorkOrder. Why?  If we delete the posting line with price difference and create a new line manually (transaction code MANUAL) then the cost is updated on WO

I am trying to get a new employee set up at a Maintenance Resource.  I have created his User ID, Person ID and Employee ID.  These all match another employee that is already set up.I went into the Resource Navigator and added him as a Person.However, when I go to the Resource Detail, in the Maintenance Employee tab, his Employee ID does not populate, so I can’t add him to a site.Does anyone have any idea what I am missing?
