After we installed the new version of BR 5.0.19.0 ,one particular user gets the error “IFS BR Upgrade Utility is not installed” while loading any report..This doesn’t stop the report from loading though..IFS BR Upgrade Utility is in fact installed and we upgraded the reports using that ..Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times,however no luck..Appreciate any info on this ...

We are using App 9.4. We could not visualize the line chart with comma separation. We tried many types of data sources. It did not affect anything. In the pie chart, everything works fine. We tried to_number, round while getting data but still the same. How can we visualize with comma separation?  

Hi,I have a problem. The text format in the IFS 10.6 lobby looks good, but the text in the aurena lobby does not look what I want. How can I solve this problem?   

I have two questions in regards to scheduling direction:How/where do you set the default for the scheduling direction on a shop order - ours currently defaults to BACKWARDS? Can the Earliest Start Date be defaulted?  Currently we experience the earliest start date always being the day the shop order is created.  We want to have this be the Need Date minus the cycle time from the routing. Thanks!

My migration job will timeout after 30 minutes if I manually execute on it on Apps 10 IEE but it will run successfully as a Scheduled Background Job. But when I was using Apps 8, there wasn’t any timeout.  Is this a new functionality in Apps 10?

Hi,We are running Apps 10, last week we updated from Update 3 to Update 8 in our Test environment.On testing we have noticed that our company Logo is not displaying anymore and the standard IFS one is, this is on report designer (rdl) type reports only.I have checked the system parameters and all looks ok against our Live environment, the report layout works fine in our Live enviroment, i have checked that the gif exists on the Server in the correct location. Tried re-importing the layout but nothing seems to work.Is there anything else i have not thought about or has anyone got any pointers that might help?Many thanksSteve

All,Looking for some guidance.  IFS Apps 8 SP1 installation.We had a major incident yesterday when users lost the ability to carry out the Shop Order Receipt process - users were receiving an ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small.The issue began at 11:11.  We finally resolved the matter some time later after finding that a number of packages, but critically INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_HIST_API, had the NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS changed from CHAR to BYTES at exactly the time the issue began.We reviewed all other instances of IFS (Dev, Test and another copy of Live) and the parameter is set to CHAR.  We changed INVENTORY_TRANSACTION_HIST_API from BYTE to CHAR and the issue was resolved.In our system parameters we have the following setting which as I understand it means we are operating a Unicode system We have reviewed all packages across Dev, Test and Live and there are number of inconsistencies between CHAR and BYTE.Questions are:Should all packages be set

Hi,We recently took the update to IFS10. I’ve got a customer with a payment term which is prompt for a payment discount. The value doesn’t seem to get calculated with the tax amount. I’ve given it an attempt creating many invoices yet the VAT element doesn’t get included in the amount. This feature used work correctly in IFS8. Any insights to this is appreciated.TIA

Hello, I’ve created two scheduled database tasks, and I was hoping to be able to setup a Streams notification to push to a subset of users when the jobs are executed. I do see where you can check the box to send a stream notification, but that would just notify the user that created the job. Is there a way to notify a group of users? Thank you!

Is there a way to back up the base profiles? We’d like to automatically back them up every day and then keep the backups for a seven days. I’m sure I can figure out the rolling seven days piece if I could figure out how to back them up in the first place. Thank you.

We are having an issue with one of our IFS instances with users who belong to groups with SID history.  When a user is put into more than 45 groups with SID history the user can no longer access IFS via SSO.     In looking through logs in WebLogic the user appears with no login listed.  Is there a WebLogic setting that could be causing this affect or a setting we can change within WebLogic?   

I am trying to add actual costs (cost type ‘external’) into a work order (to pull through to the GL).  It is allowing me to add external costs and authorize/finish the work order but no GL posting is created - the transaction is set as CSS (Cost of Sold Services), type ‘EAM’. Is there any way to get around this? Apps 9.

Hi there, We are using Crystal for some report layouts and whilst the IFSPRINT account is unlocked the report is generating fine through IFS & through CR itself. However, every 5 or so minutes the IFSPRINT account is locking, and I cannot understand why this behaviour is happening as I would expect the account to remain open. This is even if the account is just unlocked and then not accessed for the 5 minutes. Is there any reason why this may keep happening? Regards,

I have a custom field which is a checkbox with the field type as Boolean and Enumeration as Yes and NoThe default value is set to NO in the field properties.But for some reason the value in the dB is Empty instead of NOThe same problem exists for all checkbox Is there a system wide setting for this ?

When a report in the Report Archive of one user is forwarded to the report archive of another user / distribution list, the recipients get the following email from the system automatically.  Our users find this email to be very confusing as they do not understand the text in it. In my opinion it’s too ‘technical’. We want this turned off. I checked to see if it was an email event / custom event set up but couldn’t find such. Does anyone know where I can find it and how to turn it off?TIA!
