When extending the dates of a calendar, what are the considerations for how far to extend the dates?-Is there a system impact for extending them to far? If a calendar is generated and the holiday exceptions change, would there be a potential for conflict when generating the modified calendar if a “new” holiday date was used by an object (purchase order, shipment...)?

Hi,I need to disable showing the middle name of my employees in all windows. This was the behaviour in APP8, but in APP10 the middle name appears in all windows. How do I do that?TIA

Can we cleanup old records ?  Is there any built-in cleanup mechanism for  THREESIXTY_OUTPUT_HISTORY and PERSON_LOGIN_HISTORY ?  If no, should we consider cleaning up old records?  It seems that the CONTACT table also holds the same records as present in TASK_CONTACT table. When archiving, the TASK_CONTACT are getting archived but not from the CONTACT table. How can we archive CONTACT records as well ? 

Hello,  Our techs have been entering request notes through the mobile app and we’d like to change the design so that their notes are saved at the task level.I’m trying to add the screen named DebriefTaskTextFeed to the Debrief workflow but don’t see a way to do that.There are many screens that are unchecked (not used) in the debrief workflow, but DebriefTaskTextFeed isn’t in the list. How can I add this screen to the debrief workflow?

Hello all, Our company used to have 3 sites set up.  A portion of the business was sold which now renders 2 of the 3 sites we set up as obsolete for the current company.  Is there any way to “deactivate” sites so they are no longer an option for customer orders, sales contracts, etc.?  We are using APPS10 update 6. Thank you,Marty

Hi,We have a report rule to force a certain layout to be used for specific site. This works well when printing one shoporder at a time.When printing multiple shop order by selecting many from the overview the report rule is ignored.My guess is that when printing mulitple system does not look in the files to check for the site.Also tried to add to the report rule current user and printed by but still the rule does not kick in.Is there a way to force specific layout in this case when printing multiple shop orders in one go? The other issue that some users do not get the print dialogue up at all when shop orders are printed and have no change to select the layout from there. Tried with full access and with clear profile but it still does not appear, not sure what could effect to this. Regards,Anna

Does anyone have any experience of applying a material overhead cost per batch for Shop Order/Part costs?We want to apply the cost of using an adhesive to stick components together,  for different parent parts have a different adhesive and hence cost.I’ve tried using Part Specific Overheads but although I can create the cost element, I can’t get IFS to recognise it on the drop down when I try adding it.There be something basic I am doing wrong - any ideas?

Hi, There is an issue in regards to an element that works fine in EE Client but will error in Aurena.It references Invalid data source definition.Note - Lobby Element is of type Aurena.Steps Tried - Alias with ifsinfo for IAL view along side &IAL Refresh Aurena Page Cache and EE Caches Element and Data source are granted to permission set.Aurena -  EE -  Data source element -  Any advice would be appreciated or please let me know if you need more detail. Many Thanks,

Hi All, I’m creating a List element to show the intrastat rate on our lobby. The data source is to 4 decimal places, however the list element is defaulting to 2 decimal places. Is there a way to change this as we really need to have 4 decimal places on the lobby? The navigation to source data is being turned off as we don’t want everyone getting into the financials of IFSThe preview image of the elementThe data source details

Hi All,Is it possible to use CAMT053 only for creating Customer Payments?The CAMT053 received from bank has both customer and supplier payments. I need to load only customer payments and create mixed payment for those. The supplier payments should be ignored.Can we use Payment Format message function for this? Thanks

We are currently running IFS 10 release 6 on our Azure environment.  This setup is using Azure AD Proxy.But in our test environment we have IFS10 release  8 which is using a different setup that causes an issue with websockets on that Azure AD Proxy software.  According to IFS we should use Azure Application Gateway, but we have no clue how this should be done and our Azure partner is also lost in the recommendation of IFS. IFS itself claims that the installation and setup of this Azure Application Gateway is typically done by the customer, and can’t give us any more information on how to do this. Is there anybody outthere who knows how this should be setup? Or who can share the nesecary information for us to get this going? BRFiliep

DefColVisibility is a Profile Entry for table pages, but I’m not sure what it does.  I get that ColVisibility is used to show/hide columns.  I figured DefColVisibility would be something like Default Column Visibility so I set the value to false (0) for one of the columns and it didn’t do anything.  If the “Def” prefix doesn’t mean default, what does it mean?

We are trying to batch process our external vouchers for the first time.  We have changed the Server Directory parameter in System Parameters for Accounting Rules from NULL to a server path that the Oracle server should be able to read/write to. When Batch Process is selected in External Voucher Assistant  Process Options, and the FileType/Parameter SetID/File Template values are selected in the second screen of the Assistant the ‘Next’ button does not become available to establish a schedule.  Is there more set-up involved, or are there any tips as to what the server path syntax should be?  It is entered as:\\XXXifstest01.XXXXX.local\d$\XX_DIRECTORIES\MIGR10\XXXXX_FILES\We are on Apps 10.

I am using Contexts in Aurena and using Context mapping by user groups (all working well in UPD10) HOWEVER what I would like to know is does anyone know how to duplicate a context.   Reason being - I have created a context for Frontline but I have 3 user groups that need to use this context and context mapping will not allow me to assign more then one user group (unless I’m doing that wrong as well) and I don’t want to have to do all the page updates in each new context. Hope this makes sense and somebody has an answer.  :-)

Hello - looking for any Oracle database experts out there….We use a database backup tool named Unitrends to backup our instance of IFS.  The tool basically leverages RMAN to backup Oracle using the ARC archive files created.  We are having an issue when trying to run the process, has anyone ever seen the following error? We are using Windows Server 2012 R2 as our database server:I am struggling to understand how to grant a Windows user account DBA privileges?  Any ideas on this?Many thanks!!
