We have a situation where a small group of people share a single login to Apps 10.  (They are using the app mainly for entering purchase requisitions and all work for the same department).  What happens is that sometimes the second user to log in will receive a notification that someone else is using the system under that login (I personally have seen this notification in the past during implementation when using the appowner account), but there are other times where it will not alert them at all and just log the other individual out of the system, with lost work occasionally.  My joking solution was for them to get familiar with Crtl+S or F12, but was wondering if anyone knew where this notification functionality exists (if at all)?

Hi All, few questions from a colleague, re Document Macros   I guess you know, there is a standard functionality in “DMS” that allow to fill a Word document automatically with fields in IFS (Macro – VBA). I’m looking for answers about those questions and it is not easy to find : Are those fields able to come from different Views or is it necessary all fields should come from the same one ? o Exemple : I have a file in GED with macro, connected to the View "Purchase.Order". In the file I would like to get the "Manager" field coming from the LU Project. Do I need to add a customfield read only to bring the manager in the View "Purchase.Order" ? Can we put a value in the Word document, depending on condition ? o Exemple : If a field in IFS is “YES” then the Macro populate a field in a certain value in the Word document. If “NO” then the Macro populate the same field with an other value ? The answer should be somewhere in the screen “Macro basic” but it’s too technical for me. Thank you,

Hi, I am facing strange issue for one the users, He's not able to confirm his timesheet on Fridays and needs to wait Saturday or Sunday to confirm. When doing it on Fridays, he gets a 'Partly Confirmed' status.  Is it related to some kind of setup ? ThanksAvinash

Hi, we have a Custom Logical Unit in our Apps 10 U9 environment and would like to be able to insert data into it from another application via a REST API call.Is it possible to do this and expose a CLU via the REST API?Our CLU is a “staging” table where once data is imported into it (currently via migration job from a flat file), additional processing is done (again via migration jobs).I’d like to get rid of the flat file and data import migration jobs and just insert the data directly into the CLU via API call.If it is, can someone point me in the direction of where to find the documentation on how to do this, if it exists?

Hi, is it possible to restrict access to Active and Historical Work Orders in IFS, to a specified group of users based on Maintenance Org?For example, we are considering use of WOs in an area where the WOs may contain sensitive information that may not be appropriate for other regular WO/maintenance users.

Hi, we have a technical account that we use for some special queries with Excel Addin. One of my colleague used it this week end, the job got stuck at some point and she had to force the disconnection to IFS. When i tried to use it today i got this error message: “IFS Account is already logged in by CE\XXXXX (my colleagues’name). Contact your system administrator!.”I can see the session on fnd_client_logon table, but cannot kill it this way and if i go throuh Database Sessions, it does not appear…Same message whether I log through the Excel addin or through the normal way. My colleague can still log in on this account from her computer.Is there another screen to manually kill a session ?Thanks !

IFS 10 UPD8:  We’ve created many RMB’s without issue (Create Window with Transfer).  However, jumping to “Time Registration” has challenged us.  Asking if this is possible?  Our Custom Menu settings:Window:  tbwJtTaskReportTime Destination: frmTimmanReg Presentation Object:  frmTimmanReg, frmTimmanRegUpper  (tried both) Key Trans:  (Employee_ID = Emp_NO) and (COMPANY = COMPANY_ID) and (TRANSACTION_DATE=ACCOUNT_DATE)Our error:  “Using ‘cDataTransfer’:  Requested item does not exist”.  Then we get an invalid date format notice.We can work-a-round with a “Create Window” and then query but it would be nice…….  Help/advice greatly appreciated - Cheers

Greetings to all! :) To include the Cost from the OutsideOperationItem (purchased part) used for Outside Operation we must manually enter a value in the column "unit cost" in the  view Outside Operation Cost.   When it is not entered in the view Outside Operation Cost - it is not included in the Part Cost Calculation for the Main Part where the Outside Operation ITEM is included in the routing.   We have the cost for this Outside Operation item in the Purchase Part (Supplier for Purchase Part),    Why do we have to enter the value again in outside operation cost? Can this be automized?Event?Or is some basic data/connection in the costing missing?     Thank you in advance, /F

In apps8, is there a way to customize the display (like column chooser) of change request from the attachments in the context pane.My need is to add the CO status after the CR status because the last status of the CR is “processed” but that does not mean that the CO is completed. And similarly, can we add the checkbox “action completed” in the change action from the attachments in the context pane in order to allow the user to complete his action without right-clicking on the action line and navigate to the change order actions. Thanks for your helpCarole

Hi,We have been experiencing the following challenge in FSM 6u6, which is dating back to at least FSM 5.5.2. When posting a Shipment or Receipt where there are many unit rows per detail line, even the asynchronous process seems to time out.  Example picture below.the shipment record has 1 part need, requesting 1728 serialized items to shipthe shipment is generated with 1 shipment_detail row, containing 1728 shipment_unit rows  When posting this shipment; the system processes asynchronously.after approximately 5-minutes, the run log updates to “Complete with Errors”.  and performed a rollback because it was simply not able to process the quantity of units.   We know: If we break the units into multiple shipments. (<1000 per record)  we have no problem If the shipment had multiple shipment_detail lines, each with no more than ~1000 records, they would post…  even if takes much longer than 5 minutes, becuase the processing seems to time itself against individual shipment_detail lines,

Is there a way to get a list of products that will expire before they are used or sold based on the current forecasted demand? We produce fresh food products and juices, both the ingredients and finished goods have relatively short shelf life. We would like to be able to see what items we are long on so that we can take actions to either sell or donate them instead of purging the products. We are on Apps 10 update 5

Hi, It seems that the standard functionality for converting/merging a business lead to a customer results in IFS deleting the lead. Is there some way to stop IFS from deleting the buniness lead? Or another menu where we can still see the lead? Because we want to keep track of how many leads we bring in, and analyze on for example the source. I hope someone can help me on this. Kind regards,Simon
