I create a custom field on InventoryPart.  I find I need to add this field to client layout manual for all users who need read/edit this field.  Is there some method to do some operation then all clients can see this field? Then I don’t need configure it for users one by one.,

Hello, Is there an easy way in the Human Capital Management module to restrict managers from being able to approve their own expense sheets? Currently, their own expense sheets show in: Human Capital Management>Manager Services>Expenses>Expenses to Manage And they have the ability to approve the expense from there (even though we have asked them not to). I am not extremely familiar with this module, so I may be missing an obvious solution here. We are using IFS Cloud 24R1U4 Thank you! 

Hello IFS Communitywe have had this issue over the years again and again, but never found out what the root cause is. I am hoping that somebody might’ve seen this before.Basically we have a 1 Principal structure, meaning that all orders to external customers are getting entered in the main site (111 in this case) and parts will be sourced internally in the intercompany sites (owned). The goods then are getting shipped from the internal site to the customer directly.Sometimes when this is done, the purchase order line from the principal to the internal site and customer order line to the external customer are not getting updated to “Delivered” when the shipping transaction is done. Anybody got any ideas on why this is getting stuck?  

Hi,We are using IFS Applications 10, and I’m currently developing a web application that integrates with IFS. In the previous version, I was using SOAP services, but now I’m switching to REST APIs after upgrading.As far as I know, Basic Authentication should be enough for accessing IFS10 REST endpoints.As a test, I’m trying to call a Quick Report GET endpoint via Postman, using Basic Auth with a valid IFS user.However, I always receive a 401 Unauthorized response, even though the credentials are correct.Any ideas on what might be missing? Do I need to configure something on the IFS side, or are there special headers or tokens required?Thanks in advance.

Hello Expert I need your advice on the following scenario:Scenario:We have an integration between SAP C4C and IFS Cloud(24R2). Currently, when a request is created in SAP C4C and transferred to IFS Cloud, the system automatically generates a new location with a Location ID and associates it with the customer in IFS Cloud. We are trying to prevent the automatic creation of this location in IFS cloud during Request creation. Could you please provide guidance on how to prevent the automatic creation of locations in IFS Cloud during this process? We’re trying to use Shop Orders of the type Repair to enable us to be able to manage the Receipt, Repair and Return to the Customer of faulty parts that have been either sold directly to them or delivered as part of another product.We can create a Purchase Order with the Part as a line item, and receive the part against the PO as Customer Owned stock, and when we create the Shop Order as type Repair, it automatically links the Part Number to the Order both as a Material and a Produced Part.However as these parts are normally serialized we need to manually select which of the Part Serials are to be Reserved and Issued but when the system displays the Parts that are available for Manual issuing, our Customer owned Parts are not visible.If we try to do a manual Issue of the Inventory Part, we can select the correct part serial number but when we try to Save the Issue, we receive an error message “You are not allowed to perform this transaction NISS on Customer owned stock”.I suspect that

Hello, I am testing this newer function in IFS  (24.2.4)When I make disassembly Shop order for final goods I have a problem with serial numbers (how to get them).SN for semi-finish parts I have to find manually.The FG and SF parts were produced with serial tracking and multi level tracking (never leaved company)1 - SO - disassembly for FG2 - manual reservation of FG (Now I know SN of final, but I have to remember it)3 - issue FG4 - Receive disassembly component: how can I get SN for produced parts automatically ? Are there any        options ? Ifs Cloud 23R1What’s New in Manufacturing:  There is option put new or use origin SN number. But I can not see them. I was expected better way, than finding them in other modules. In SO I can not see / find information what SN of FG I choose. Maybe I am wrong and something missed me.Thank you

Hi! Is there anybody can help me?I use IFS8. We need input production surface arer information to Inventory Part. So I create a custom field under LU InventoryPart. Field Type is persistent. Name is “SURFACE_AREA”.  It generates the method 'Inventory_Part_cfp.Get_cf$_Surface_rea’. It works right, user can keyin number into this field.I need create quick report with this field so that users can see this number.Followed SQL Statement works right.select a.part_no, a.contract, b.cf$_surface_area area, from inventory_part_tab a left join  inventory_part_cft b on a.rowkey=b.rowkey I want use SQL Statment with method Inventory_Part_cfp.Get_cf$_Surface_rea. It should be like select a.part_no, a.contract, inventory_part_cfp.Get_Cf$_Surface_Area(a.part_no, a.contract)from inventory_part_tab a But it doesn’t work. There is no argument for this method. How can I set  part_no and contract as arguments for this method?

(and some MOE to define how to register the Gps)But could we have or could we link the gps position with the status depending on the action made in the mobility side  :Status Accept the SV : At x,y position  Date/timeStatus on travel : x,y position Date/timeStatus on site : x,y position Date/time Also do we have a way to push a notification to the technician to say for example  :1/ Hey you know what : You have left the SV location, do you want to close the activity?2/ When the technician arrives on site :Hey you know what :  "you have arrived  on site XX3/ when the technician arrvies at his office (this address is registered in Alliance):Hey you know what ,"You've just arrived at your office  Do you want to create a private activity called 'travel to office'?" Do you know some usages like that with the gps data recorded in alliance  ?  or do you know other requests about the usage of gps data ?Thanks and Regardsanthony

Hi All,I'm having some difficulty defining an access role where a user can only remove authorizations.Specifically, an HR employee is responsible for performing a final check and must be able to remove authorizations, bot project input and attendance, but not authorize them. The authorization action is reserved for another role.The deletion of the input is also not needed - the person only needs to remove the authorizations.Does anyone have suggestions on how we can define this kind of role in the cloud environment?Thanks in advance!

We shipped some parts on consignment to the customer.  Then consumed the consignment, but the system does not show the order in Create Customer Invoices.We have used customer consignment many times before and it always worked fine.  Can anyone think of what might be stopping the invoicing of a consignment order?IFS 10 UPD9

Hello,I have developed a new PL/SQL procedure (Auto_Purchase_Req) inside a custom package (BSM_PURCH_UTIL_API) in our IFS Apps 8 environment.The package is compiled successfully and the procedure is working as expected when called directly from the database.However, when I try to create a new Database Task in IFS and click on “Select Method”, my custom procedure does not appear in the method list.I have already restarted both the Test Application and Test Database servers, but the issue persists.Is there a specific way to refresh the IFS metadata or PL/SQL definitions so that new procedures/functions appear in the Select Method list for Database Tasks?If so, can you please advise on the steps or the correct menu to use for this operation?Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance!
