Advanced Planning Board Shop Order Status Definitions
Within the APB for a selected Shop Order we can see a list of the potential statuses and of which are applicable to it.
However there is no way that we’ve been able to find that provides clear definitions of what each of these statuses actually means. If we use the Help button on this tab, it brings up the window below and if in the Usage section we click on the Show Status URL it provides no meaningful information. We can explain most of these statuses ourselves, but when our client asks specifically about what the INCOMPLETE status means we’re struggling to differentiate that with RELEASED or (especially) PARTIALLY REPORTED
Can anyone point us to where we can find an official IFS document that explains exactly each of these Scheduling Status values represents

Hi @AsahiNick,
You can refer the document below and check whether you can something out. It is created for APP9, but the fundamentals are the same.
Hi Yathartha, many thanks for your prompt response to the question, but I’m afraid that I already have a copy of this document and it doesn’t provide the information we need. The screen I’m looking for is referenced on page 31 in the file:
but nowhere in the Text (or anywhere else in the file that I can find) is there any explanation of what each of these status values actually represents, and that is the information that we need
Hi @AsahiNick,
Not sure whether this helps you but these are the things I know:
1. Incomplete
The shop order is missing basic data and needs to be updated in IFS Applications.
2. Unscheduled
The operation has not been scheduled yet and is waiting for a defined time slot or resource allocation or due to resources missing.
3. Assigned
Resources have been allocated to the operation, but it may not yet be scheduled for execution.
4. Scheduled
The operation has been planned and assigned a specific start and finish time.
5. Released
The operation is ready for execution and has been released for work on the shop floor.
Example: The operation has moved from the planning phase to the execution phase, allowing workers and machines to begin work.
6. Partially Reported
Some progress has been reported (time reported) for the operation, but it is not yet fully completed.
7. Reported
The operation has been fully reported as completed.
8. Tardy
The operation is delayed and has not been completed within its originally planned timeframe. (The order is scheduled to finish beyond its Need Date)
9. Infinite Scheduled
The order has been scheduled by the Infinite Scheduler and needs to be scheduled (this may happen for the orders beyond planning horizon, due to infinite resource allocations etc)
