Whenever I deploy changes to the code, IFS Developer Studio consistently freezes, requiring me to forcefully close and restart the application. I tried doing everything but none of it seem to be helped it. Version: IFS Developer Studio 18 (25.1.0657 2025-06-23)

Hi, Is it possible to set the MRP parameters to only look so far ahead? At the moment, as soon as a req is created (even if for next year), MRP suggests buying or making the stock. I do not want to consider that order until at 3 months prior to required date. It would be ideal to see demand without any req’s being generated. Using planning method G currently.    Thanks, Dan

Hi All,I am aware that from version 24R1 onwards, IFS Cloud (Remote Deployed) customers are limited to using only Database and File storage.I have a defence customer hosted on-premises in the UK. They have operations in both the UK and Australia, and due to legal requirements, they must store documents in external storage within their respective countries, not in the database or cloud.Is there any limitation whereby remote deployed customers are restricted to use one File storage location?If so, how can IFS address these legal requirements given that only File storage and Database options are available moving forward?Thanks,Chamath

Hi All,As mentioned in several community posts, IFS is phasing out the shared document repository type with the introduction of support for file storage across multiple locations.According to the IFS documentation, although shared repositories are being deprecated, it is still possible to enable them manually. Customers may continue to use this functionality until IFS releases full support for multiple file storage locations.I would like to inquire whether any other customers or partners have manually enabled shared repositories and are currently utilizing this setup. We are using IFS CRM panel for Outlook currently on 22r2 version and we are planning to update to 24r2 version. We have noticed the connected business opportunities are not shown in 24r2 version crm panel even though they are shown in 22r2 version any reason for this?22R2   24R2

our company is in Asia, but our server is in Europe, now I found the transaction date is the Europe time, not our local time, as we have time difference, sometimes, so it makes some confusion. What should we do keep the transaction date as same as the local time

I am trying to run a search for parts that have a characteristic value between two decimal values. It seems standard functionality for searching between to values requires whole numbers such as 1 to 10 using the “..” between operator. I have a need to search for values between say 0 to .03When I enter that in I am getting a syntax error because my search looks like 0...03 which IFS is not recognizing the decimal in .03 as part of the number and rather part of the search operator. Has anyone run into a similar need and what was your solution? It seems odd that IFS would not allow searching in a range of decimal values so is there another operator besides the “..” I should be using?

Hello, I have begun using Serial tracking for parts in IFS Apps 10. However, I have noticed an issue with Shop Order analysis. It appears that if you define 100% checking on a Control Plan, it will require that each Serialized part is accounted for on EACH Shop Order Analysis. This becomes a significant issue if you report parts and generate another analysis. As an example, if you have a SO with a Lot Size of five and you reserve your serial numbers on the Shop Order. You then generate an analysis, and select all five serial numbers, you will have to perform checks for all of them. There is no way around this, you cannot cancel incomplete lines and finish the Analysis. I have tested reporting 3 pieces of the lot and creating another analysis. However, the results are the same, the system is looking for 5 serial numbers still, even though 3 have already been assigned to the reported pieces. I'm not understanding the intended functionality, it seems to create a lot of issues. Hello,We are running into an issue where an employee is not showing up in Time Registration before a certain date. Their start date is about a month and a half before that date, and they have valid job assignments from their start date, but they “don’t exist” in time registration between their start date and about a month and a half afterwards. Has anyone else encountered this and know how to fix it?Thanks!

Dear All Hope you are doing great - ready for the weekend. Just checking if someone is using a setup in IFS where we can hide some parts according to the part description  [containing part description text **DO NOT USE** for instance] . For instance, we have obsolete parts at N-Sea with the part status obsolete or inactive. But still cannot hide them when creating demands on projects. IFS will of course not let us create demands for such part statuses. But ideally I want to hide those parts when fetched onto a list of values. I tried several configurations like custom fields and saved searches according to the status. But seems hiding them on new demands are not supported. Of course I might be able to do this with a customization in IFS. But before that, I am trying to figure out if I have missed a trick. Happy Weekend! Asela

Dear Experts,I tried to add three new customer fields to Customer Window of IFS EE. This is how i tried to do that.First i have identified the Logical Unit that i need to add the field. Then i went to Custom Field, fetch the CustomerCreditInfo LU then went to add the field. Field type - persistent, then gave the name , then assign the data type, then gave the properties, lastly gave the publish information i have ticked the public and approve. then right click on the header and i have published the three fields. now all the three ticks are checked. then i went to the refresh server cache and refreshed the security, reference and object connection.  then i went to the customer window and credit info tab. i have right clicked the and navigate to custom objects - fields.. but the issue is i can not see the three fields that i added in the custom field window. 

The groups on the IFSCloud screen cannot be opened without clicking on the tab, but is it possible to display the screen with the groups open when transitioning to the screen page?

Hello, has anyone upgraded to Cloud version and then reopened a prior year?   We have gone from Apps9 to 24R1.2 and after reopening 2024 year and entering some reclass vouchers, the “clear revenue/cost balance” job is not finding the amounts to clear.   I’m then left with a balance in this section of accounts.  When I try to run the job I get this message:If I performed the exact same steps in Apps9 there were no issues. We are also testing service update 12 and same scenario.   I’ve logged a case with IFS but wanted to ask the community as well.  ​@Nancy Fink  any change in year end process in Cloud that I may be missing?  Thank you.

Hi,When we try to export all rows and columns to excel from IFS Aurena application, we are getting error message ‘Requested file has errors’. We tried with various screens, but we get same error message. IFS Version: App10 UPD13Application Type: Aurena Is there any configuration or solution to fix this issue?

I am unable to find an existing schedule to have the below run daily.  Is this something that need created as a custom database task/schedule or if there a screen I can schedule it from?  Our goal is to have the Customer Credit Management Lobby updated daily.  I am also trying to find if there is a clean up process for this.  I see the API procedures in the DB but I do not want to create new tasks if there are existing ones.  

Hey community,I have come across with another special request:As we just had the problem that some of our more important scheduled database tasks were set to inactive since a maintenance downtime we decided that we want to track if there are any deactivated scheduled database tasks in our environment. For this we want to create a Lobby element which show the deactivated jobs or maybe just a simple counter.I just have looked into the “Scheduled Database Tasks” view but there is no system info with a view or anything.Is there any possibility to query the scheduled database tasks or at least identify the count of deactivated tasks? We are currently on Apps10 with UPD21. Best regardsPatrick

Hi, I want to perform a Configuration Analysis to identify impacted configurations. I have followed the official guidance and successfully installed the Configuration Analyzer. I have also downloaded the InterfaceReports.ifr file and connected it to the tool.I ran the Configuration Extractor and saved the exported files locally on my PC without making any changes to them.However, I am unable to load these files into the Configuration Analyzer.Each time I try, I receive the following error messages: What is required in order to successfully load the exported files from IFS into the Configuration Analyzer?
