Time Zone Handling for Ireland (IST/GMT)

Once a time zone is selected in the Extended Site Info section, it becomes a mandatory field, meaning it cannot be set to null. Therefore, the required time zone should be selected instead.

Ireland uses Irish Standard Time (IST, UTC+01:00) during the summer months and switches to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT, UTC+00:00) in the winter.

For customers in Ireland (and other European regions that observe daylight saving time), do they need to manually update the time zone in the Extended Site Info when the clocks change?

Or is there an automatic mechanism that adjusts the time zone based on daylight saving time?

Thanks in advance for any clarification!

Hello,
Once the time zone is set it cannot be again switched to null, it needs to have some value. But users don’t need to switch manually between the time zones. IFS offers automatic switching of time zones for day light savings. But make sure that the site is configured with a regional time zone, not a fixed UTC offset. Instead of using UTC +01:00, use Europe/Dublin in the time zone info and IFS will automatically handle the changing time zones.
Hope this helps!

Use this option and it will automatically adjust the time.
