Hello,  Currently we are looking to leverage approval templates to make the ease of adding approvals at various screens within IFS easier. While setting up an Approval Template, I noticed that the Note field is not available. If you manually create a New Approval Routing manually, you have the option to populate the field. My question is when setting up and Approval Template, are you able to use a Note field to create instructions and detail for each approval step in the template? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.  

Hello, I am working on creating the ability to insert a new row in Business Reporter and have it wrote back to IFS.I am given the normal pop up to insert a new row, I enter the information and press ‘OK’ and occasionally the new line will not be created. There is no error message that is given and nothing happens.Insert New Values ScreenAny advice on why this may happen or how to trouble shoot would be appreciated.

Hello my friendsHow can we record our Business Opportunity Lines (make a history) when they (Business Opportunity Lines) connect to Sales Quotation, As you know when we create Sales Quotation from Business Opportunity the Business Opportunity Lines automatically set in Sales Quotation lines and when we change the Sales Quotation lines, again automatically the Business Opportunity Lines has changed, Here how can we make a history from our pre-Business Opportunity Lines? (before make some changes in Sales Quotation lines ), Actually we need our Business Opportunity Lines in every step separately.Wish the best for you guysGood Luck 

When the Gold Support Terms or Global Support Policy are updated, we, the 1st line, must inform our customers with support service contracts of the changes.Global Support Policy has a update date in the document so we can check if it has been updated or not.However, Gold Support Terms has no such date and the only way to find out is to check the difference. To begin with, does IFS change the Gold Support Terms from time to time?If so, I would like to be able to confirrm the date and content of any updates. Best Regards,

Engineering Part Revision used to have a checkbox that would set the part revision to Released on save.I believe it was in a grouping called “On Save”.  It is very handy when all you want to do is Release the revision and not fight the step of going to Active.Did that get removed?Patrick

I have errors in “Distribution and Manufacturing Postings Analysis” linked to the posting control M1: “Value is missing for posting type M1 combined control type PCAG code part B in company 204.”Here is our setup for M1: Here is our setup for any of the 12xx accounts in the M1 control posting: And here is the setup for the 5550 account: Is the M1 posting control set up ok? I was trying to reconcile the fact that some accounts do not need the department and product while one account does need it. We tried with “can” for department and product for all the accounts 12xx in the M1 posting control but it did not help.  Any comments are welcome. 

Environment:IEE, IFSv10 UPD 11 Enabled single sign-on via ADFS securityProblem:Windows security pops up when user tried to connect through SSO (Sign in as current user) as shown below User can log in when they type username and password, however, User gets kicked off sporadically and the system locks them out completely. It unlocks after 5-10 min or more and they are then able to connect only by typing in username and password and not through current user link shown aboveChecks/Tests done:Checked user configuration on both IFS and Active Directory account Requested user to close IFS and all other applications before changing password Confirmed no sessions on FND_CLIENT_LOGON_TAB before requesting user to retry connection, which still failed, but after awhile let the user connect. User was provided a different PC to rule out if it was machine related issueNote: The timeouts ae irregular. User had no issues until a week ago. User says no change occurred from their end. Hello, I would like to automatically close a Business Opportunity when it expires (expiration date = today’s date). I wanted to do this via a Workflow, but sadly, you can’t schedule workflows to run daily, they have to be based off of a projection action or event action. I looked at scheduled database tasks, and I found the method Set_Closed for Business Opportunities, but sadly, the scheduled database task I set is not working. I have this set up so far:I added the “Expiration_date” parameter. Whenever this is run, I get this error: “ORA-20115: BusinessOpportunity.The "Business Opportunity" has already been removed by another user.”and no Business Opportunities close. Am I missing something? I’ve worked with some scheduled database tasks before that automatically create pick lists and reserve customer order items, but this is the first time I’ve seen parameters that (I’m assuming) are passed into the API to set the BO as either Won or Lost. The API Explorer documentation for this meth

Dear colleagues,  I have created a cash box following the next steps:Make a cash box ‘direct cash payment’, amount -500; manual post to account 6490, print cash receipt. Approve cash box and then realized I put the wrong amount and I select the line and click ‘cancel cash receipt.’Line status changed to ‘canceled’, but ending balance remain unchanged - I think this might be an error. Once you approve the cash box and the transaction is updated to GL, we can cancel only the transaction, but I think IFS is settled to show the actual balance with the last transaction, even if the transaction is cancelled.In this case the transaction should not be cancelled once the Cash box it’s approved and the Actual Balance should change.Could you please help me with some advice? You can find attach the cash box analysis with the error.

We have many companies and many of these companies run multiple types of costing jobs.  These execute as background jobs in the early morning hours and often on weekends.  These jobs can take up to 2 ½ hours to run and they hold up all other costing jobs when stuck.   I would like to have an email/text message generated  to warn me when a background job is executing for more than 2 ½ hours.  Is this something I would create an application Server task for?    We  don’t have any so I don’t have any examples to look at.We don’t have weekend staff and I don’t want to have to remote in every Saturday to check if background jobs are behaving.  

Hello, in IFS Cloud, we can see that not all standard IFS fields have the field description and this is also missing for custom fields. Is there a way how we can add the description for needed fields?Thank you

Can I please know the reason for not validating mandatory pre-posting on purchase order/purchase requisition for inventory parts?

Hi Team, This is regarding creation of a business rule. The action that I am looking for is as follows; Person One has Skill A, B and C. Place has Skill A and B.Person Two has Skill C.If I assign Person One to Place One, I am not stopped.If I assign Person Two, I will get stopped by a validation Business Rule.I am having difficulty using validation BR as it does not seem to process that A + B. It seems to process the rule as A or B. Am I able to use validation BR for the above? or Must I use XML BR?If I need to use XML BR, is there any sample XML code that I can be provided with?    

A user created a work order and a purchase requisition for a service part required.  The PR was processed to a purchase order and received and closed.The PR and PO process was a mistake and we cancelled the receipt, cancel the order and got the requisition to planned state again.  The requirement was to rollback the purchase raised. Now we cannot delete the PR due to there are two cost lines created against the work order related to the purchasing.  The delete transaction option is disabled for transaction type ‘Work Task Purchase’    in the work transaction window. Now we are in a situation where we cannot finish the work order due to the PR and we cannot delete the PR due to the cost lines. Do we have any options here?    We are on APP10 UPD13.

Hi IFS Guru, Can anybody enlighten me on the following scenario: I m creating PM Action on piece of an equipment without Work Task Template, need to put some information about craft man hour etc. I can visualize that once Work Order is generated from PM Action, you can go and put steps, material and man-hour for each steps. But this will create a lot of work for the planner, to go and amend all the Work Order with the required info, is there any work around by putting all these detail without using Work Task Template ? I am using IFS Cloud Version R 22.1.1 Shez
