I know Planning Method A involves Lot for Lot, meaning there is zero “extra” inventory ordered for parts that have planning method A.  Does this also mean it ignores safety stock or is safety stock considered zero.  For example, if I have a safety stock of 5 will it always suggest orders such that I have a balance of 5?Where can the safety stock calculation be seen for the steps taken to auto update? 

We are using IFSAPPS10. We can generate an excel list to do a customer visit and check on our consignment inventory (IFS Screen:  Warehouse Management > Quantity in Stock > Inventory Part At Customer.  Ideally we would like to use out of the box IFS count functionality. When we check online help, it looks like you can only do count reports for “Inventory Parts In Stock”. Has anyone found a way to generate the count report in IFS for consignment at a customer?

Team, We are newly building a project on IFS PSO , Can anyone please advise how to do the initial data load ? is it through XML file loading on to Workbench or through REST API gateway? Also I didn’t notice any UPDATE (PUT) REST methods in the swagger , is that means we should use POST for both CREATE & UPDATE ? please advise on this.

Users are unable to change project managers on projects even though project access is NOT turned on.Based on the help text for this field, it suggests "If access is turned off by clearing the check box, all the access definitions will be deleted and all the users will have access to the whole project"Default value PROJECT_ACCESS property in System Definitions/Object Property  tab is set to OFF.We have project managers leave the business, and then subsequently no one apart from IFSAPP is able to then change it to an active project manager which is causing a lot of issues. Why can't others in the business be able to change project managers when the access is turned off?

HiI created a very simple IAL (Apps 9 SP11) with the following SQL...select * FROM DBA_SCHEDULER_JOBSThis view is SYS owned and is set as a public synonym. The view has been granted privs to SELECT to IFSINFO. The IAL is named MT_SYS_DBA_JOBSWhen I execute the following SQL from SQL Developer all is well…select * from IFSINFO.MT_SYS_DBA_JOBSYet, when I execute from a Quick Report or the SQL Query Tool I get this error…Cannot convert JDBC type -101 to PlsqlType Any ideas?

Hi, we are trying to upgrade  the IFS Cloud version from 22.2.8 to  23.1.2 though Release Update Studio.Followed all steps mentioned in documentation butOrder delivery step is failing even though sanity build step is successful.Attached is the log file.please suggest where it is failing. RegardsRaman

Hi Experts, When sending jobs to PSO , it needs an element of time before it sets the job in the correct place, does anyone know how long this duration is? Can the duration be altered? Is it based on the system that PSO is installed onto?For example, we are seeing jobs with a fixed person go over to PSO in the space for the wrong person, PSO then goes through the motions before then putting the job in the correct space, but this sometimes takes a while.Are there any parameters that can be altered to help? Would reducing the plan quality (currently at 100) help with this? Thanks

Hi,I was just testing SU4, which fixes the issue of not being able to open order in history from the Activity tracking module, which works well BUT is there any way we can exclude closed orders from the list, so we can concentrate only on open Service Orders?  I would like a way to exclude them in my search or a way to identify the order status in the search list, so i can avoid opening those that are already done with.ThanksChris

Hi experts, need your help.Customer needs the following requirement fulfilled:In Quote screen → Under Lines tab → When adding a new line → if the Usage type is Part. make the part_description non-editable but if the Usage type is Non part, make the part_description editable. Currently, this behaviour is vice-versa. I have created a new client script (attached) and linked it with the Usage Type field in UI designer. However, it looks like it is fetching the value of the Usage Type field from the first row (which is selected by default when the screen loads). Whenever I select another row, it still has the same value as the Usage Type in the first row. How can I get this to work properly?

Is there any other way to undo a pre-ship delivery note used in the two-stage picking process, other than adding a new line to the customer order and picking, which then invalidates the current pre-ship delivery note? 

The majority of our in field staff we use the iOS IFS CRM Application when visiting customer site. It was noticed that the app has been unavailable and upon internal investigation, it appears that there is an issue relating to the IFS Cloud Downlink URL within the IFS Cloud Uplink Service Configuration. We have documented some screen shots of the error we are receiving when trying to start the up link service and what we believe is the issue. My question here is that are you aware of IFS decommissioning any services or do you know anyone that could confirm if there were any plans to decommission. We didn't receive any notification so am a little confused as to why it's suddenly gone.We are in App 7.5

when creating a user in IFS Cloud,for User-Type,  you can select End User / Service User for End User , I know it is a normal Aurena user with username / password.while, what is a “Serviec User”? what is used for? does it a dummy user for Intergration(eg: with Dell Boomi )?or it means an “After Service” user for matainix only? Thanks,

Then it is issued on Material Requisition if needed in the equipement structure and / or Maintenance can be performed on them while in warehouse.Do you know how to define an inventory part as a Fixed asset and as a Serial Object as well ?Thanks for your help.Regards

Hello,We are in the beginning stages of planning our move for our on-prem VMs to Azure.It will be costly to carry over the same configuration for our DB and middleware server and keep them up 24/7. This instance of IFS is mainly used for reference by Finance or Operations and by only a couple users.Are there any issues with powering off the VMs, lowering their assigned resources and powering them back on?Are there any additional steps needed specifically around IFS? Dear Community, May I know how to create a scheduling resource through “IFSSchedulingRESTfulGateway” API ?  as I can see only  “GET  https://MyHost/IFSSchedulingRESTfulGateway/api/v1/scheduling/resource “  and No  POST in the interface guide. When I tried with POST methods the API threw an error “Method not allowed”.

We have an SV from a node node1.The warehouse WH1 is having primary node node1 only. The technician attending the SV request is from some other node node2. When the technician tries to access some products in this warehouse WH1, he gets an error message saying"The warehouse is not found in the database" NOTE: The warehouse has node1 (primary) and node2 associated in warehouse module > node tabThe technician has node1 and node2 (primary) associated in employee security > node security tabThe technician is having default node as WH1 only.
