HiWhen assigning a Serial Object to another Serial Object (as part of an assembly), is there a way of seeing the the Functional Object that the parent Serial Object is assigned to from the child Serial Objects?When sending an engineer to repair a child item of equipment, we need to show its location (Functional Object) in the Work Order screen and prints. I was hoping that the Location in the following SQL would find it but, no, it returns the same parent ID as SUP_MCH_CODEselect   MCH_CODE OBJECT_ID,  MCH_NAME OBJ_DESCRIPTION,  PART_NO,  SERIAL_NO,  SUP_MCH_CODE BELONGS_TO_OBJ_ID,  LOCATION_MCH_CODE LOCATION,  ifsapp.EQUIPMENT_FUNCTIONAL_API.GET_MCH_NAME(contract, location_mch_code) FL_NAME,  OPERATIONAL_STATUSfrom EQUIPMENT_SERIAL_UIV We are using Apps9 SP11

Hello,we have an environment on which  in the instant invoice when we clic on reprint original all is working. But on another environment (we use separates environment with aurena framework version 22.1.9.) we get the message “ORA-20105: InvoiceNumberSeries.FIXEDLENGTH: For the invoice number to start with zeros, the fixed length must be greater than the number of positions in the next value in the invoice number series”.I think we do have a difference between the 2 environments but where ?Thank you for your help.Frédéric

Hello, I currently have a scenario where I have a custom event that triggers upon the insert or update of a row in the REMINDER_PROPOSAL_TAB in IFS Cloud. This works completely fine when creating a reminder proposal, but when creating a reminder proposal the same way, and selecting ‘schedule’ this does not trigger the event action, even though nothing else has changed. Anyone have any idea on why this is the case? I can confirm its not hitting the custom event or the event action, since I left errors in the workflow that the event action is referencing.Thanks,Bryan

Cloud File Storage Migration Tool can be used to migrate media items from older releases into Cloud File Storage of IFS Cloud release.But I didn’t find an information that the tool supports archived media items in the source system.Can Cloud File Storage Migration Tool also be used to migrate archived media items even if it’S not documented?If not, what would be a practicable way to migrate archived media items in Apps10 to Cloud File Storage in R24?The volume of media items is extremely big (several TB). Therefore, it’s not an option to first migrate all media items to the Apps 10 database before running the Cloud File Storage Migration Tool.

Hello all,Is there a field on accounting_code_part_value_tab table that can be use a BS/PL indicator or any other field/table that can distinguish BS Acc. from PL Acc.?I’m hoping for field/table that is generic to all IFS systems not user-specific.Thank you. 

When creating a new Quick Report ( in IFS Cloud ), I enter comment lines in the “Comments” dialog. I space the comments to make them readable. I want these Comments to be viewed by the user when the users executes the Quick Report.  But, when the user executes the Quick Report, the Comments ( called “Notes” when executing the report ) appear as one long text string. The spacing I used when entering the text is gone.  Anyone know a way to keep the original spacing?   ThanksRegardsMark

Hello IFS community. I have a question regarding the proces of returning a purchase order.In case you have a purchase order with multiple lines on it, and one of the lines might be pallets, is there any way that you can return only these pallets but to a discounted price? So a way to sell back the pallets to the supplier, but to a discounted price using returns? 

Hi,I downloaded and installed the configuration analyzer tool from the IFS developer portal(https://developer.ifs.com/tools/confanalyzer).The tool installed successfully but when I launched the tool, The application opens and within a few seconds it closes immediately.Do you have any ideas why this happens?Thank you

HelloMy Work Assignment is in Waiting at Location Status, i need to cancel the work task. not able to cancel it, after deleting the Work task clocking. if i change to incomplete work Assignment also no result. is there any way to cancel work task which is in work assignment status as Waiting at Location Status.Its in 23R2. 

Hello,We are looking for a way to easily identify Material Reservations to a Work Task. Is there a column selection that can be brought in when using Work Tasks list view? I envisage something like the Active Work Assignments column with a check box or even a traffic light system with green for available or red for not available. I understand we can see the reservations through the MMRL page but just looking for a quick reference. Thank you 

In 23.2.5, POST_Docman_UpdateDocumentIssueHistorySequence.sql has a syntax error because we don't have the component FNDRPL installed.To fix this myself, can I overtake a POST script in the customer-solution repository?

We are attempting to implement shop floor workbench and manufacturing control plans for Shop order execution; current state we run a crystal report and technicians fill out the paper copy. We are running into concerns of traceability (what is where, what was done when). We currently have an external serial tracking system we added to IFS, but we are looking into implementing the internal serial number tracking. Is there any shop floor reporting / Manufacturing in process serial number tracking? (ex.: if my executable qty is 4 and i enter 2, I'm required to enter what SNs I am approving through to the next operation)? Or any other “in process” serial tracking features? Workbench or manufacturing control plan specific. Any info helps!

Hello all,we are in the start of an upgrade project from IFS9 to ifscloud -- 23R2Recently got the lifecycle portal access.can you help us select the right mode of implementation please?what mode of implementation to be selected for ifscloud upgrade -- remote deployment mode.we see 2 option with upgrade solution.One with data and other with manually managing data.which one to select? (refer screenshot) NOTE:- we selected remote deployment model, and we will do the database upgrade on servers hosted in oracle cloud.are there any difference between the 2 upgrade option?Thanks,Hardik

Hello IFS Community, I have loaded the company logo, however, when I attempt to print the invoice report, it still defaults to the IFSlogbw.gif imageThe company log does not appear if I delete it or keep only one image.Would you be able to tell me what I am missing? How can I display the COMPLOGO.gif? For more details, please refer to the screenshot.

currently using IFS Cloud 22 R2 u18 Hi, having looked over the previous answers here, I’m still struggling to find out how I can make the Marketing field within Customer > Sales > General as a mandatory field. Having navigated to page designer I have then selected all Elements. → Selectors → Reference Sales Market Selector. having set the ‘Required’ tick box for  the following attributes [MarketCode, Description, State] to no effect. Is there anyway to make this field mandatory for all customers? thank you in advance for any advice or support given 

We have used mpm ‘perform_create_contract_bill_schedules_for_contract’ many times to regenerate bill schedules after doing mass contract pricing updates using an import map.  It would appear that the mpm has been deprecated from u6 to u25.  What is it replaced by?Thanks,Richard
