How to set a Posting Control for a Code part: Project that requiere an activity sequence no. to complete the posting, where can we indicate the activity sequence no. in this cases.   in this company the Code Part Project is required/obligatory for most account.

I would like a way for an SA to route a call from Mobile, to create a Customer Support Order from a Service Order, essentially escalating his call to get Technical Support.Giving the SA the ability to create a new Service Order is not suitable, as we need a Customer Support Order.We currently use a stop code to create a new activity which can be picked up by Tech Support or back office but them someone still needs to do the routing.  It would be very convenient if a routing could be done directly from Mobile.

Is there a place in IFS EE where the Asset class is stored with the Inventory Value?  We use the inventory value by period to report our total inventory levels, but we would like it by Asset Class.  There are views in IFS that has the information, but the views seem to capture the data when the view is displayed hence the asset class displaying with the historical inventory value is the current asset class, not the asset class when the historical data was taken.

Whenever we try to change an invoicing supplier in a PO which is in Released state we get the above error however there is no Invoice made/matched for this Purchase order still we receive above error.I believe there is some internal setting in IFS Apps 8.0 where it is defined already that for any given site you can’t process/make any changes in PO whether its Price, tax code, qty etc. post its authorization. This Change order functionality is only there is IFS V8.0 and above, want to know where is the root cause or that internal setting defined as this has to nothing deal with PO authorization rule when checked.Tried to change the setting in authorization too which lists as follows;

Trying to clean up old customer orders but get an error. Order has one line item qty of 2 but qty 1 invoiced and line and order status is “Delivered”. How can I change the quantity to 1 since that is already invvoiced? We tried Undo Delivery and get error. I just want to close the order with the qty 1 that is already invoiced? Any suggestions? 

Hi, We have a situation where we use the supply code ‘Int Pur Dir’ on a CO. We want the goods to go directly from our supplying site to the customer. Supplying site is a another internal customer.So order comes in at site A, PO gets created to site B, CO get created at site B, Site B can ship to customer directly and invoice goes via site A. Automatically via EDI.Everything works smoothly for the first shipment. It gets created automatically, we can ship. But we don’t want to ship the complete order at once from site B to costumer. Let’s say the order is for 100 PCS, and we want to ship 10 at a time.We ship the first 10 from site B, everything goes perfect. But if we want to create a new shipment, the available pcs don’t get shown in the shipment tab ‘Available order lines’. It’s just empty. We tested this in a different enviroment and it worked, but for some reason now it doesn’t. Does anyone know which settings are important to check in this case? Best regards

If the report is ran by the report designer or logged in as IFSAPP the BR report displays figures.We have checked that the report has been granted to the appropriate permission set. When the user orders the report using Order Reports the report is processed and a message is displayed prompted whether or not you wish to view the report.   On viewing the report no data is being displayed. Any ideas?

I want to know the date when an operation is actually finished, not planned to be finished.What I find to be most accurate was the latest entry of the Date applied below.Created a custom field on Shop_order_operations_CFV that works but it is too slow. select Date_applied from OPER_AND_IND_HIST_UIV HIST, SHOP_ORDER_OPERATION_JOIN SOOJwhere HIST.Order_no=SOOJ.ORDER_NO--'13870'and HIST.Operation_no=SOOJ.operation_no--'20'And HIST.Release_no=SOOJ.release_no--'*'And HIST.Sequence_no =SOOJ.Release_no--'*'And SOOJ.objkey=:objkeyOrder by Date_applied descFetch First 1 rows only Works, but it is to slow to be used in many applications. Is there any available function or field I do not know about? @Björn Hultgren, you seem to know your way around these areas?

In apps 10 we have an event that sends an email to our HR team when some one requests for  information to be be changed on there records through the Employee Info - Change Request screen.We are now moving over to Aurena but been informed by IFS that when a change is requested in Aurena it has to be approved in Aurena as the 2 are not linked, which means our existing event action will not work as it is using a different view/table.Does anyone know what the view/table in Aurena that the Information change request is using, so I create a new event action or any help in how I can trigger an email to be sent when some one puts in a request?Thank you.

Hi,We have a problem when doing ECR object connection. please refer to the attached screen shot, which I captured in a demo environment. you can see full list of object category available there. but in our PROD, I can only see one object category which is ‘Engineering Part Revision’.Our PROD is upgraded from APP8 years ago.Does any one has a clue, this is due to settings or permission issue? Thank you.Ron

Hi,1/ When a Tech has a part (Part from my stock) in a VAN (because before a transfer was made from his office to his VAN) and then you will use this part in a task. a/ What is required to declare this part as Installed in the customer site ? in this case, in our process the part used is declared billable : could we change that ? b/ What is the best design/transaction in this case in FSM to transfer the part from the Office to the VAN ? Possible Settings to be confirmed  : - Part set as “part to product” - c/ Line code “Billable” with Install and part to product checked or create another line in the table and leave Billable as design.2/ is it possible to manage a part need without shipping ? if yes : how ?for example : a part need comes from automatically with a task template. BR reports that have worked previously are erroring stating an error in design.  Having been advised that no changes have been made to the reports.  It was decided to restarted the BR Execution Server as NO BR reports have been processed since the 3rd June.   On clicking Stop the service does not stop and the following error appeared in the Log: An error occurred while trying to stop BR Execution Server.  Reported error is.  The service cannot accept control messages at this time.   How can I stop and restart the service?   The log files appear to go back to the 06/06/2021 and there are a few reports flagged as errored. Any prompts much appreciated.

Hello, does anyone know if you can create a document revision on a batch record and have it ‘follow’ that batch. For example, if i was to attach a certificate to a certain part in the Inventory Part In stock screen I would like to be able to view that certificate from the Material Transaction History on the Shop order.

Hi, We are using standard cost and cost set 5 for purchased parts.We seem to have arrivals where we did not have the cost calculated. It is zero. Can I find all PO-arrivals where the inventory part cost was zero? Note that the Purchase part might have a price, so the PO have a price but the cost on the inventory part is zero. 

Dear all, If a person got a person calendar exception assigned for a dedicated time period, it is not possible to schedule a task for that time horizon → error/warning message:Using the “Is available” checkbox in the person calendar exception gives the possibility to schedule a task nevertheless.I was expecting to configure this behavior via app params or via business rules. Meaning that we can decide that even without the checkbox “is available” we could  schedule tasks. But this seems not to be possible via simple baseline settings.Question:Is this a standard baseline behavior that only via “is available” checkbox in the exception tasks can be scheduled for that time period or am I mistaken and this can be configured in app params or via a business rule (or somewhere else)? The preferred solution for us would be to define only a warning message e.g.“overlapping existing exception! do you want to proceed?”which can be confirmed via yes or canceled via no. regards,Thomas
