We all aware that we can use “inventory locations” window or “Warehouse navigator” window in IFS to create inventory locations manually.  But in the practical context, where there is a requirement to initially create a warehouse in the application with thousands or millions of inventory locations, how this can be done as a bulk? Many Thanks,-Lahiru-

Hi all, When a user is connected to a Person ID, reference screen shot below: the system automatically makes the above Person as the Main Contact Representative in Customer window since, the user is also connected in CRM & SRM Basic Data– Representative window.  Customer Window:  But in Customer window CRM Info tab, there is a separate Main Representative connected.  Please let me know why is the application picking the logged in user as the Main Representative despite Main Representative is already connected in CRM Info tab. Is this is a bug?, if not please explain the functionality.  Thank you.

Hello,  I am trying to add our company information(COMP_ADDR_1, COMP_ADDR_2...) to the Customer Invoice report. The report seems to be pulling in some of the address but not all so I am trying to track it down where I will need to input that data. We have many different sites with a lot of different addresses so I am trying to pull all this information in automatically from IFS. Here is where the company address information is located but does anyone know where this pulls from inside  of IFS? I don’t see any type of company addresses located on the Customer Order. I’m also not very good at trudging through the api as I found the field in there but it didn’t make much sense to me. Anyway, as always thank you for all the help. Eli Williams

Hello all,I have a report rule in Apps10 Upd 8 which creates a document revision from the report and creates an attachment - in my case for Customer Invoice:The document class used in my report rule is setup to store the file in an FTP server: When I run the report, the document revision is created and attached to the customer invoice, as per expectations. However, the PDF file is not transferred to the FTP server. Then, it is impossible to open the file from the document revision.I have checked the logs on the FTP server, but no connection is opened, and there is no trace of file transfer.Note: if I change the EDM repository type for this document class from FTP to Database then the file is correctly added to the document revision and I can consult it. Does anyone already face this issue? Is there any specific setup to do?Thanks in advance for your help.Regards,Gladys.

Hi,When we have an employee that is very active in the system, so their name appears against Service Orders, contracts, sales rep, service agent, field quotations etc. and they leave the company.  What is the best way to go about “replacing” them with a different employee and/or just deactivating them? If we try to deactivate we will get a message to say that cannot be done because they are the SA on SVxxxxxx.  After fixing that SV, you get the next and so on.  It can take forever.  Is there any tool available where you can run to remove employee A and replace with employee B or anything like that?  We have V14.5.  We have had problems in the past when an inactive employee is set as a primary sales rep and we try to renew a contract, for example.

Hi Everyone, The below situation can be tested in the Apps 10 Test LKP environment. When the login password has expired, and whilst changing it we often get the below error message. “Error while changing password. Something went wrong while changing password”Since this error message is not particular, it is difficult for users to identify what’s wrong with the combination that they’ve selected.Ex: If a Symbol is missing from the newly entered password combination can we get a more meaningful error message that explain user to add a Symbol for the combination.     So, my question is can we retrieve a more specific error message for the aforementioned situation? If so, can this be setup through the oracle profile verification? Also, I’ve referred Oracle profile foundation document but didn’t find an answer.  Thank You.

Set Code Part option is not available in Aurena client even though it is available in IEE for end users. Is there a setting has to be enabled specifically for Aurena?

Hi,A saved search was created for the Customer Order Lines window as below. And then, that saved search was used to create a Lobby Data source. the VIEW is populated automatically with the saved search, since the VIEW is that in the Customer Order Lines screen. Then, a Link type lobby element was created using the created data source. And as you can see, the Page field cannot be selected, and it is empty. (It should be Customer Order Lines I think). And due to that reason, from this element, the screen cannot be navigated by clicking on the link in the element in the lobby. I have tested, and this problem exists for any saved search from the Customer Order Lines screen. As a workaround, I can change the VIEW to CUSTOMER_ORDER_LINE in the data source and resolve the issue. Any reason, anyone of you are see / know why this functionality does not work for the CUSTOMER_ORDER_JOIN view ?CUSTOMER_ORDER_JOIN is the view used for the Customer Order Lines screen, anyway. Thanks,

I faced this issue during a technical investigation. There was an error message prompting in the application. "Invoice.ACCERROR1: Error (The Voucher Row object already exists.) occurred while booking Invoice CN xxxxxx" After copying the PLSQL Details, pasted it in the Test Window and ran it. The error message came as same as shown in the app. While debugging there was a requirement of inserting traces using Dbms_output. The packages that I inserted were Voucher_Row_API, INVOICE_API and Voucher_Util_Pub_API. The traces were inserted and compiled without any issues. They worked fine for a while. But in the middle of the investigation, the error message changed to "Invoice.ACCERROR1: Error (could not find program unit being called) occurred while booking Invoice CN xxxxxx." As you can see the text inside the bracket changed from ' The Voucher Row object already exists' to 'could not find program unit being called'. This also changes the error stack. Why is this happening and is there a wa

Hi, Does anyone know where I can define a Server File Directory (required for batch process) in the SAF-T process. This directory is required in Server Output File Directory field to generate the report via batch process. Can I add a new one from the application side ? Can I use only directory from application server in the path definition ? Or there may be defined any shared directory to that the application has access ? Best regards,Małgorzata
