Hi, we entered a card reader to a time clock in IFSCloud.If I clock in by typing in the EmpNo the clocking is in the time card. If we use the card reader, there is not clocking in or out. If we use the card reader for name we get the right employee, but the data are still in LOV not directly in the field:What is the trick, to get the cardnumber after reading through the card reader, directly into the Employee-field and an ok? The employee has a schedule, is a time clock user and the card is connected to the right employee.

Can someone please advise what is the relationship with Astea application & NewRelic monitoring tool and its usage and configurations that needs to be made?

Hello everyone,  I would like to match a customer order with an external customer invoice. Do you know if it’s possible.  I checked the SDTCIN template and i don’t see any information to fill in the customer order in my external template. On the template i have only the information “reference” or “item id” but nothing about the “order reference”    I was thinking that the process is : Create a customer order (it depend of the order type but don’t want to create an invoice with the workflow of the order type) Upload the external customer invoice (statut of the external invoice must be created)  Analyze the invoice with the notion of the customer order  Best Regards, Jeremy 

Dear All, On the CO lines weh ave the columns ‘Superior SM Object ID and ‘Create SM Object’. It was my understanding that we checked ‘Create SM Object’ when we wanted a Part Serial to be converted into a Serial Object at delivery, and that the ‘Superior SM Object ID’ was used to put that Serial Object in the structure so that it was visible in the Equipment Object Navigator. But I noticed recently that it does not exactly work as I imagined because when I create a CO line for an already existing Serial Object (delivered to customer from stock) - I didn’t use ‘Create SM Object’ because I thought I didn’t need this when the Serial Object already existed. But it turns out the object is not placed in the Equipment structure.  Is this corect behaviour? AM I missing something here?  Can anybody tell me more about the those 2 columns because I feel I don’t have a full idea on their behaviour. Best RegardsRoel

Hello I am new to supporting servers with IFS installed and wanted to know if it is ok to install SQL updates regularly on the database server that hosts the IFS database? 

In the setup that we currently have, the employee enters/confirms working hours per day/week. Manager authorizes the hours. At frequent interval, the hours are transferred to another (3rd party) application. There the hours (and especially the used codes) are checked. All nice if every day follows the happy flow.It is different for those hours that are booked against wrong codes (or too much or incorrect overtime, etc). In that situation, the hours (days) in IFS Time Card/Registration can not be changed anymore.I find this logical, but what would be the next step to make a change?

Good morning, Of 600000 Customer Order Lines in our database, we have over 540000 which are cancelled, mostly due to EDI.I have been thinking of copying/moving these lines to a Custom Logical Unit, equally related to the Customer Order, in order for the related tables/views to not be so heavy, and because it is important to keep these lines for historical and for analysis purposes. I would however like to ask the members of this forum, firstly if this is the best way, and if not, if you have any other idea for doing this in IFS, to remove these lines from the Customer Order Lines, but keep them for archival purposes, related to the related Customer Orders?Thanks in advance,Mendes

Hello everyone,  I have an error message when i want to to create an external customer invoice. I created a template with the model STDCIN and then i loaded it in AURENA. When i want to create this invoice (loaded → verify → created) i have an error message see below :   Error message : The invoice amount in “dev compt” (accounting currency) does not match the account assignment amounts for item no. 1. I have this error message but the amount is the same between the line and the posting : Line :  Posting : Do you have any issue concerning this error message?  I already did a lot of test, change the amount (gross to net and net to gross)!  Best Regards, Jérémy,  

Hi all,another question regarding MX_U table, if FSM application is in IFS managed service, who maintains the MX_U table for deleting the old records?  As this table can be very big and the usage of old history might not be necessary anymore. If it’s customer’s responsibility to maintain it, can you describe steps to check and do it? Thanks again,~Juni

We have created a new cost set and setup identical to cost set 3 for Latest Purchase Price. The only changes I was intending to make is to have different labour rates between the cost sets for a comparison. However, the newly created cost set appears to be posting a large value to ‘estimated material cost’ when a roll up is done, whereas the out of the box cost set 3 sends this value to ‘latest purchase price’ cost bucket. Looking down the tree in our new cost set some of the components have costs against latest purchase price, but others are selecting estimated material cost despite the part having a calculated latest purchase price. How and why is this selection made?

​Hi,When a service order is assigned to a Service Agent and we want to change the Service Agent , the material stays allocated whitout the previous VAN (Warehouse). (From Whse. is empty.) When Save the order or try to deallocate the materal we get this error.This error is logic because you cannot allocated a material whitout a From Whse.I have manually add the previous VAN Warehouse id in de demand material line in the Database. This way  we can deallocate the material.Is there way to auto deallocate materials when changing Service Agent., so we do not get the above error?Thanks

So its working.But i want to change file name of the pdf, tried to some ways but the problem still going on. Hello!---Applications 9---History Logging Enabled for a number of tables.Today I have created an Event against the HISTORY_LOG_TAB. As soon as the event is enabled records stopped being created by history logging. Disable the event and the history logging begins working as expected.Anyone came across this before?Thanks,Jamie

I’m setting up an SFTP reader in IFS Cloud21.  I’ve uploaded a knownhosts file and id key file (both in txt format as IFS returns an unexpected server error if no file extension is given).  The reader is enabled but not picking up any files.I would like to scrutinise the IFS Connect logs to troubleshoot.  The Cloud 21 documentation on IFS Connect logging seems sparse and it isn’t clear where the logs are.  Looking on the ubuntu server there appears to be a config file which is driven by the JSF properties/Logging properties in Cloud 21.  This file contains a file location but it’s commented out:## Connect log file##handler.connectlog.type=textfile#handler.connectlog.filename=@IFS_HOME@/instance/@IFS_INSTANCE@/logs/j2ee/ifsconnectlog-@IFS_MWS_SERVER@.log#handler.connectlog.level=info#handler.connectlog.maxsize=10M#handler.connectlog.filecount=5#handler.connectlog.categories=integrationI suspect that these commented out elements are from Apps 10.  This environment was uplifted to Cloud21

1, I created a new cost set (Cost Set 6) and assign M110 and  P110 Then I calculated the  std cost for a Manufactured Part , non of the manufacturing related cost buckets were fetched Any reason ?.When I calculated the std cost for the same part using cost set 2,cost was correctly calculated  Application Version= IFS 10 Your prompt assistance, very much appreciated

I’m using IFSAPP10.Most of our sales parts are zero-rated for VAT, but we have a few that are standard rate.Most of our customers are based in the UK, so have their Tax Code set to standard rate in the Customer screen, but we also export to some EU customers, who have their Tax Code set EU rate 0%.When raising customer orders, the sales part tax code always seems to supercede the customer tax code.  This works well when selling zero-rated sales parts.  However, when we raise EU customer orders for standard-rated sales parts, this presents a problem because they appear with 20% VAT, when we need to invoice EU customers with zero VAT.Can anyone suggest a solution?Many thanks.
