Is it possible to add code tables in fsm6?

Hi @ssabo ,

Following are the main types of Codes available in FSM.

  1. Code Tables : You cannot add a new Code Table, but you can add/delete or update a new record to an existing code table.
  2. Global Codes : You can add a new Global code, also you can add/delete or update a new record to an existing Global code.
  3. FSM Codes : You cannot add a new FSM Code, also you cannot add/delete or update a new record to an existing FSM Code.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers! :)

Is this something that has changed between 577 and 6? As you can see in the screenshots our 577 environment does has a new button on the code table screen. Wondering if this is a change in behavior or some custom config

For customer-defined codes you should create a new global code.    If all you need is a code name and a set of code values, there is no reason to need a separate code table.    If you need additional columns besides code name and value you can create a custom table.

Also I do *not* see a New button in the 5.7 GSE environment Code Tables search screen, which makes sense as any new code table would need to be created in the database.  If you drill into a particular table of course you have a New button to create a new row for that code table, same for FSM6.

The GSE (Global Support Environment) is 5.7 Update 11, which was the last update released for 5.7.

It appears that this was changed in 5.7 Update 9.   Pressing the “New” button on Code Tables search just resulted in an Object Reference error as table did not exist in the database, so the button was removed.
