Hi All,

Actually while creating a Customer order with items in line level, the line level status changes to Released after saving the record and Customer order remains in Planned status at header level.

Main concern is that the demand for the part item is getting created automatically against the CO line item when supply code is  selected as “Int Purch Dir” or something other even though  Customer order (At header level) status remains at Planned Status. In Inventory Part availability planning window, the demand getting created for the line level part.

Could anyone suggest or guide us how to stop the demand creation process at planned status or rectify the same. Do we need to change any basic/master level data for the same.

Thank you,

BR/shiraj

This has been discussed before. See the thread:

Customer Order Lines are always in Released status | IFS Community

R&D explanation:

“The system has been designed, the first status of a Customer Order Line is Released. And this implies that all released lines are visible for MRP as well as the Order Proposal, which was the intention of the current design.

If  there is a need for a status Planned for the CO line to handle the problem, this is not something that can be implemented in a bug fix only.”

One interesting suggestion at the end of the thread - temporarrily change the Supply Code to ‘Not Decided’ in the CO line. Do you think that’ll help?

Hi,

As above Customer Order lines have always been created in a Released status. However you have the option on the customer order line ‘ Release for Material Planning’ checkbox , the default for this is checked however if you uncheck it will not be considered by any of the planning tools or create pegged orders.

Hope this helps
