Solved

Hi, We have a process flow of parts being sold to another site and company in IFS. When we at the demanding site are doing a Return for Credit on the receipt, a supplier shipment is created. So far so good, but how is this going to be matched at the supply site? Can/should we register arrival on those parts in any way or is the correct process to make an RMA on the CO? I cannot find the parts waiting for arrival in the Register Arrival page or in any of the transit pages. It is like they have “disappeared” after the Supplier Shipment is made. Please note that the demand is triggered from a DO. Regards,Josefin

Hi, Me and all my work colleagues have started using IFS, and we all are struggling do simple tasks like pasting tables from Excel. My problem is the following:We need to create multiple Quotations Lines in Sales\Quotation\Sales Quotation. And some quotations can have more than 50 quotation lines. Now the problem is that IFS doesn’t seem to allow a simple copy/paste from an excel table (which we get from clients). Therefore, we need to fill all Quotations Lines cell by cell, row by row, for every  single cell that is on this table (Qty, items requested, items proposed, dicounts, and more). Even the line numbers must inserted manually... As you can guess, this has been extremely frustrating experience, and a huge step back in efficiency, as before thinks were running smoothly. I’ve done some research and found topics in the forum about:Copy/Paste Object: However, this needs only possible to use from an existing Quotation. File template: Could be an option, but I’m not sure it can/should

We need some help with the consolidation process in IFS 10. We have succeeded with some of the steps but there are some issues left, e.g. currency translation and elimination of inter-company transactions. Below I list the steps that we have done.   Map subsidiary accounts (Accounting rules -> Code string -> Accounts field Account group) Specify which months to consolidate in the parent company (Financials - Consolidation -> Group Consolidation -> Balance Transfer and adjustment -> Reporting status) Give permission to employees to perform the consolidation. (Financials - Consolidation -> Group Consolidation -> Consolidation Basic Data -> Consolidation Security) Transfer data (Financials - Consolidation -> Group Consolidation -> Balance Transfer and adjustment -> Balance Transfer Assistant) Approve reporting journal (Financials - Consolidation -> Group Consolidation -> Balance Transfer and adjustment -> Reporting status) Create consolidation str

Hello,I´m having some issues with “min amount of days” in the reminder template and reminder level. In level 1 its stated 7days and that works out fine, but in level 2 the amunt of days is stated to 10 days,The reminder proposal does not take that in consideration and calculate 7 days as well for that reminder level.Anyone who knows if this is a bug or if I´m doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

Hi @majose and others! We have been trying to figure out a way to "freeze" a std cost for sub-assembly when calculating a new parent part, but haven’t been successful. I have also searched the community for similar questions without result. It would be very valuable for us to find out if there is a way to achieve this, or if not, if it is in the IFS future roadmap to look into the possibility. Since IFS Idea Wall vanished I haven’t seen a new place to register ideas for future enhancements, but perhaps one exists?Scenario is as follows:Part A: Sub-Assembly with material & operation cost, Std cost is calculated and defined for the period (year) 31 Dec. In February, the routing is changed but std cost is not updated as that shall be valid for the whole year.In Mars, a new Part B is released and contains part APart B has material & operation cost.Part B shall be calculated and a std cost shall be set for Part B BUT the std cost for Part A shall not be changed when the calculation is

I have a user that would like to set up a pivot table in Excel and refresh the data from an IAL view.  Is there a tool from IFS that can do this?Using App10 Update 9 Thank You

When creating a Customer Support Order, the problem description is also copied to comment field of the Primary Assign activity. When we change the Customer Support Order to Service order and dispatch to Mobile, the text is double visible on the overview on Mobile. And if it contains a lot of text, user has to scroll alot because of the double text. (problem descr. and activity comment)Is there a way without Mobile customization to not show the primary assign activity in Overview.Or is there a configuration that when you creating a Customer support order the problem descr. is not copied to the comment field in the primary assign activityVersion: v15.3.0.5Regards,Robin.

Hi,I would like to have the address of reception and expedition in mobileedge. It’s required in the customer process because, a Technician doesn’t always have a fixed PUDO. So, when the PUDO change, we change the shipping address in the shipping list screen on the backend.. There is no integration with a carrier IT systems. I didn’t find a way to display address (for receiving or shipping) in mobiledge.Could you tell me a way with the customizer (or other way) to do that ?I tried to add a customized field with the customizer, but it’s not avaiable in mobileedge. No address available in receiving card, No customized field added in ARN screen available on mobile edge. Thanks and regardsanthony

Is it possible, in Aurena, to use your phone’s native camera function to attach pictures as either documents or media attachments? That would be a great way to capture pictures of serial objects, defects found in NCRs, receipts for expenses, etc. I am using UPD6 and when I go to media or attachments my only option is to browse for an existing file.  I’d rather open the camera, snap a picture, and then have that image attach all in one process.

We have a situation where we have some Installed Items that for some reason have multiple PM Schedules. I am trying to track these down, but have no luck making a SQL query to find these:How do I link Item against pm_sched?

Hi everybody, in some intersite processes the order code doesn’t change to 4 if we release a purchase order. What are the prerequisites?

Hi,For a customer process, I have to declare serialized parts consumed by the technician. These parts are not managed in inventory. The goal is only to manage parts (serialized and not serialized product) and declare a part used during a service order. In the Backend, we can use Consumable Product and Fullfilled a material demand on this part.   But, with mobile edge I can’t display and select a consumable serialized product.Do you know a way (settings)  to do that with mobile edge ?Thanks and Regardsanthony

We often have the situation that an engineer on-site discovers an item which is not in the Site Items on mobile, so he is not able to return that item. Then he calls his dispatcher: Or the dispatcher creates a new installed item for the site in backoffice. But this new item is not synchronised on mobile and the engineer cannot refresh the Site Items when he is working in a service order. Or the dispatcher sees that the required item exists in installed items for the site in backoffice, so probably the site items were not completley synchronised on mobile. Here also, the engineer cannot synchronise the Site Items while working in the order. Is there a possibility to push the update of Site Items to mobile from backoffice ?
