Oh great people of the community! I need some help and suggestions 😎Starting this week. several UAT testers  are unable to log into Alliance from PC and encounter error message “The type initializer for 'AsteaAO.SecurityManager' threw an exception”.There are no errors on the server, and errors are only in the client event logsSometimes deleting the XML file in the Astea temp folder works, sometime uninstall and reinstall works, and other times mutliple attempts to log in will work.

Hi,I have added a new text attribute called CLender to an entity in Cust layer and added it to an existing view by overtaking it because the projection entity set referred entity is fetching data through that view. When I query the view in plsql developer I can see the new attribute is added in the view. When I try to get the entity set via the URL,  I get the following ORA error.  I’m new to working in the customization layer. It would be great if someone can help me to resolve this issue. Am I missing any step here?

For a single user the coordinator is not auto-populating. In the prepare work order screen, CO information tab, the coordinator does not fill in automatically.  The default coordinator is setup for the user on site.

Hello, The IQA button does not appear on the web client. It seems like the functionality is limited to the Smart Client. I am using release 6 and update 23. There are a couple of FSM client scripts that hide the IQA button (REPAIRCENTER_HIDE_IQA and REQUEST_HIDE_BUTTONS).Is there any chance of this functionality being made available in the web client going forward?  ThanksRegardsNeville

Hello, I am attempting to have Business Opportunities automatically close when it passes their expiration date. I have used workflows and scheduled database tasks before, but there does not seem to be a way to create a database task to schedule it to run every day to check for expired Business Opportunities, and there does not seem to be a way to schedule a workflow to run every day. I’m not aware of any projection actions or event actions that get run every day. What can I use to achieve what I’m looking for? Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Bryan

Has anyone come up with good ways to enable alerts/notifications using the IFS Assyst Mobile App?We have support personal who want to be alerted especially during off hours whenever a high priority incident or outage occurs. So, we want a push notification not simply that they check email on a regular Candance.

Hello, I am attempting to trigger a workflow via a database task, so that I can schedule the database task to run daily. My end goal is to have a workflow that gets triggered every day. It does not need parameters. Is this possible with FND_WORKFLOW_CONNECTION_API.START_WORKFLOW? I am creating a database task to use this method. I am not sure what it’s asking for, for its parameters. Would anyone be so kind to provide an example of the formatting this is expecting?Any and all advise would be greatly appreciatedThanks,Bryan

I am trying to set up a survey in IFS assyst using an event query. When I run the query in event monitor, it returns a list of events, with then Affected user field populated. When I add the query to the survey, and click on Issue Request, i receive an error “Event Query returns no users.”Am I missing something?

Hello, How can you get Business Opportunities to automatically close once their expiration date is equal to the current date? This seems like a pretty basic feature but there doesn’t seem to be any options available on IFS Cloud

Hello,How would you set up emailing to notify a customer when a Business Opportunity or Sales Quotation has expired? Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Bryan

Hello,What is the purpose of the expiration date for Business Opportunities? Do they auto close once they go past the expiration date? if not, how do I get them to automatically do this? I have a scheduled database task that uses the “Set_Closed” method of the Business Opportunity API but I cannot set this to only occur when the Expiration date = SYSDATE. This results in an error that makes IFS think the opportunity is already deleted, because its not coming up with a result. Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Bryan

Hello,I would like to set up a process that notifies the customer that their Business Opportunity is going to expire in a week, 5 days, 3 days, and when the BO has actually expired. I can set up an event action to handle when a field has changed… so I’m thinking about having a daily database task that updates a custom field that represents how many days until this BO expires, and basing the event off of that.My only issue is the email portion, for the Business Opportunity, the contact email is not available for the entity. How can I set this up so that field appears on the BO? Obviously IFS has the entity connection set up since the Contacts appear on the BO page, but I cannot access that BusinessObjectContact entity from the BO entity, to add in a custom field that references the email. How should I approach this? Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Bryan

Hello,I’ve been looking for so many ways to execute a workflow on a daily schedule for IFS Cloud. There have been some IFS Employees that have mentioned that they don’t know how to, but I still want to believe there is a way to do this. I am trying to close expired Business Opportunities and Sales Quotations by running a workflow I built. I also would like to send an email out when Sales Quotations and Business Opportunities are 7, 5, or 3 days away from expiring. Is there any way to accomplish this? It seems like IFS Cloud is so limited in what you can do. In Apps10 you had some workarounds for accomplishing this but it seems like there is no way to do this in IFS Cloud. Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Bryan
