Hi can anyone please tell me how to install FSM mobile service in my Mobile.Now i am using mobile service through NOX mobile emulator but i want to use the service in my mobile phone only. I tried to download the service in mobile through but its not connecting its saying localhost refused to connect.Remember the FSM i installed is on premise installation only with my local IIS server. Please help me how i can use FSM mobility service in my Mobile.

Can we write a condition using expression instead of using "change" operator. I have a business rule where I have a condition using expression like below: In the same expression can we also check whether PERSON_CAL_EXCEPT.START_DTTM has been changed or not. The intention is not to add one more input param “PERSON_CAL_EXCEPT.START_DTTM”  and not to rebuild the condition again with an additional line  for checking whether PERSON_CAL_EXCEPT.START_DTTM has been changed or not.   Please help if anybody has any suggestion on this.

Morning all,   We have an issue where we have certain suppliers who “chance it” and send us material that they have finished early (sometimes months early). Obviously we don’t want to be taking on this stock until we actually need it however as some of it is sent by courier i.e. FEDEX, UPS etc we get the courier dropping the item off, takes a quick signature and then they are on their way. It is only after manual inspection of the delivery later that we realise that we have something we didn’t yet need. I know what you are all thinking. just tell the supplier to stop doing it! (apparently they don’t listen) For audit obviously we have to register the purchase order arrival but after this we have 3 options.  Leave the stock as registered and keep stored in a goods-in location Return for Credit Return for Rework The only one that works in the way they want is Return for Rework in so far as it halts the payment, creates a return note and upon it coming back we can just re-registe

Hi guys,  This was posted a while back. A ton of people viewed it but gave no answer - despite  me requiring one desperately! Since then I posted ‘more simple’ kinds of questions, and received a reply soon after. But, to be frank, that’s no good. Surely I should get some indication for the more complex stuff without recourse to a consultant? I’ve got a query about how to use APB. An example is apt here. Consider an MPS consisting of 2 items. Lets stipulate the structure for each is: Level 0 = end-item (GA), Level 1 = SA (x2), Level 2 = 4 piece parts & Level 3 = 10 piece parts. Let’s also imagine 0 overlap between recipes (thus no requisition to merge supply). The relevant ‘Priority Rule’ is ‘Earliest Possible Due Date’ (with all operations selected) since we’re looking to schedule both projects to finish asap, with no spare capacity gaps. 2 options arise at this stage. Either, schedule both project items (under the priority rule stated) in APB with a single executed run. While accessing the FSM Web Client Portal from IIS server.It is  throwing 500.19 Internal Server error. How to solve this error. Remember that its an on premise installed web client portals. I believe i need to do some configuration in the web config file.Can someone tell me what i need to do?    

We have multiple customer orders for a customer who would like an invoice per the delivery point. Is there a setting I can use in IFS to make that happen?   Thanks Bruce  

We have just installed FSM 6.4 in our test environment, but cant find how to access the Technician Portal.  We installed the Web Client (of which i understand the Technician Portal is part of?), however if we try and log in as a TECHPORTAL licence we get an error stating user is only configured for Tech Portal access.  So how do we log in as Tech Portal?   Thanks in advance

Hello, are there some “rule of thumb” recommendations about document repository storage with IFS Apps?   Qualitatively, it’s sure that if there is a “big” total volume of documents and/or large individual documents, it might be safe to store on file server rather than as BLOBs in Oracle DB.   But the question is how big is “big”? Are there some metrics, returns of experience about this?

We are currently using APPS 9 and would like to introduce purchase order authorisation via mobile. Am a little new to IFS, so wondering if that technology works in APPS 9 and if so, how can I set this up?   Thanks! for all feedback!

Hi, What would be the probable cause and resolution for this issue.   The Crystal Web Service has been set up on a test application server all necessary components and grants are in place from what I can see. I have tested the report services to pull back a report from an invoke which works fine but the application isn’t picking this up through the affiliated application pool. It references lack of permissions to the virtual directory but from comparison to Live it looks to be the same with the values changed accordingly.   Many Thanks,

Dear all, I created a lobby element based on an IAL.  The navigation from the counter to the target-window does not transfer the result even if I use the option “Use data source condition”.  Instead the target window is populating all data. For “non-IAL” data sources the target-page gets the right values.   Is there a trick how to make that work for IALs?   Thanks a lot in advance!   Best Fabian

hi can anyone tell how to reflect the data to smart client or back office . i am wrote a script for mobile using the  setdbvalue(stringformat(“update person set user_def12=’{0}’ where peron_id =’{1}’”,y,personid)); here y and personid is parameters that i am passing . the script executes but the data is not reflected in back office or smart client  , so anyone tell me how this can be archived . thanks in advance .

When receiving an Invoice from supplier thorugh EDI we have no picture file included. In IFS External supplier invoice parameters you can tick the option Create Image. System will then create an invoice image based on the received data. This part is working , we can find the invoice image in report archive but is there a way to set system up to automatically check this in to docman to invoice and posting proposal?

Hi All,   I have found  blob format  as file data column in edm_file_storage_tab but I need to get file as respective file format like PDF,docs. Is there any conversion procedure there in IFS?

I have a Sales contract and I want to invoice 2 items coming from 2 lines. But IFS gives me the error “You are not allowed to use Tax Codes of type Tax with percentage greater than 0%”. But the settings on the address used are that this address can have tax and this is not set on EXEMPT. Anybody an idea which setting could trigger this message? Thanks in advance!

Hello! We have the following case. We want to use report rule to send invoice to our foreign customers instead of doing it with attachments in Outlook. Our problem is that the customer also need to get the delivery note (delivery note from shipment) in the same e-mail. Either as a combined PDF or as an second attachment.   Is this possible with report rule? Can it be used to collect both reports, when printing invoice?  We have IFS 10.

Hi, I need to send a json string with an application message. I’m on IFS9 so I can’t use a REST destinationtype, so I’m using Http. Is there any way I can send a json string instead of an XML ? Its just one line. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think I can create a transformer to do this without access to IFS Developer studio, and I don’t have that. Also I’m unsure if transformers will do json. Can I create an application message with a json using pl/sql code?     Best regards Kresten

I would like to use one of the UDF fields from the Request template and when running the ECO Generation it copy that field onto the Request. is this doable? if so what additional setup would be required as just adding the field to the UI for the request template did not do it.   Thanks,   Graeme
