Hi, We have IFS Applications 9 and run the application mostly on Win 10 computers. We have a problem with dialog boxes not being “on top”. The dialog box gets stuck behind and locks the entire computer with no possibility to access the task manager or any other application. The only thing to do is to press the power button on the PC. Very frustrating! Anyone have any experience of this problem and (hopefully) a solution?   Thanks in advance!

We want to install a new TEST-environment and name it to IFSTEST3 (the copy is from IFSTEST2). I have already made a RMAN restore and have the new DB copy ready. But how to create a new instance the easiest way? We have 139 deliveries and I don´t want to install all these manually.

Hi, I’m trying to setup a connection to an external API from IFS 9. I don’t have access to REST POST requests but I should be able to make SOAP calls, but I’m not sure if I have a SOAP Gateway. How would I know if I have SOAP Gateway running? BR Kresten

Is anyone else experiencing issues where custom layouts or fields disappear on the users?  We are using a combination of base profiles with personal profiles. The solution thus far has been to have the user uncheck the custom layout button within properties but then check it back and everything resets to normal. Some users are fine with this but then some users say they have to do this often.

Would it be possible to setup IFS 10 to setup an event action to send a post request to an external API endpoint? I can’t do that in IFS 9.   BR Kresten

Can someone explain how the “Width (%)”  field on the Lobby Element Designer works, please?  I have to say my success in getting the columns to display correctly is more luck than judgement...     Any information would be much appreciated.   Thanks Linda

I have a customer who wants to know following. In our Apps 9 environment, we use a mix of AD authenticated users and DB authenticated users. The AD authenticated users are essentially named users, while the DB authenticated users are manufacturing "workcenter" users. With Apps 10, we plan to use ADFS authentication (that's what we have implemented in our test environment.) Our question is whether or not we will be able to continue with the DB authenticated accounts for the "workcenter" users. Is it possible to do "mixed" authentication with some users going through ADFS and some users going through DB authentication? If so, how would we go about enabling it?

Hi all, We have been working with IFS on this issue for several days but without success, and I am losing faith. I have asked for escalation but in the meantime, I wonder if anyone has ideas on what is going on here. Issues: If we try to Download All Packages, we see the first error We see errors 2 and 3 shown below with any Employee/Person form This issue occurs on our Live, Test and Dev instances (Live and Test/Dev are on different physical servers) We do not know exactly when the issue occurred as we do not add new employees often Attempted Fixes: Used F1Mage.exe to recreate signed application Reconfigured server Restored to backup of “instance” Uninstalled .NET update and restarted servers Deleted “C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0” folder Run “rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache” on client PC Nothing works! Hello! I’ve a scenario in CRM where there a 3 users. CRM User 1 (only has access to Business Lead) CRM User 2 (only has access to Business Lead) ADM User (has access to leads created by CRM User 1 & CRM User 2. Additionally, has access to Customers/ Customer Orders). Now, CRM users only have to create the lead and perform business activities. The conversion of lead to customer and then creation of customer order is assigned to ADM user. But at the same time, ADM user must not be able to view all of the Leads, Customers as there will be other groups with 1 ADM & 2 CRM users(to achieve this, I’ve added the ADM user to Lead, Activity, Opportunity & Customer filters using Access Group). CRM users have to add the ADM user to each of the lead/ activity they create manually, so that it may be available to ADM user. (This is kind of a site based crm scenario which I’m trying to cater through Access Groups.) Is there any option to auto-add the ADM  users (supervisors) to each entry

Does anyone have a decoder ring for database objects as to what the symbols and colors mean? Some text is blue, some is black, some have a diamond that isn’t filled and others it’s filled. My assumption is that it means either granted or only granted query, but it would be nice to know for sure what it all means. Thanks!

I have the following code, that updates the required date on Project Navigator Demand based on a custom field. It runs fine as a custom menu, but when i run it as an event on creation of a new demand line, it crashes with a mutating trigger error. I believe it’s because I’m selecting info from the table I’m trying to update. Whats the best way to get this to work? when creating an IFS user how to select an oracle profile, by default it is selecting the oracle default profile, I have created an oracle profile to use password verification function. when I create a new IFS user I would like to select the oracle profile I have created instead of the default Oracle profile

Hi, I am doing some Report Designer changes to a layout and struggling adding a new table. I want to add a table in between existing two tables, but new table always goes to end of the Page Body. How can I move the new table where I want? Appreciate your comments.   Thank you.  

Between application 7.5 (or 8?! I am not sure...) and 9 I have seen a difference regarding object transformation. In the old release of IFS application an entry was made in the object connection list if a document was passed on from a source LU to a taget LU. Now it seems to be only displayed online. Can someone explain the benefit?

I tried a function ‘Amounts to words’ in report designer and I used like below ‘vldtmath:amountToWords(tns:NET_CURR_AMOUNT,'ar',tns:CURRENCY)’. When I used for german language code or other language codes its translating and showing in mentioned languages but when I tried in Arabic or Korean languages its is not translating in the report. if currency is 1000 means output for ar/ko : One thousands. Please suggest any solution or give me reason why its not coming in report.  

Hello,  I’m having an issue understanding the workflow in IFS as it relates to Sales Quote generation. Currently, we are starting the process at Business Opportunity. An opportunity line would be entered for a top line part, which would be saved as a Non-Existing Part. From there an Estimate is created for the part. The calculation is made and the Business Opportunity is updated via the connected object from the Estimate to the Opportunity. In order to create a quote, we have to register the part using Register Non-Existing Part in Business Opportunity. When that is done, you can then RMB the opportunity line and create a Sales Quote. The issue becomes when you need to change the quote for any reason, the Business Opportunity is not also updated to reflect the change. If you adjust Contribution Margin on the Sales Quote, that does not update the Business Opportunity. Hi! When a custom LU and fields are added, IFS automatically creates a package to insert, modify and delete custom data. Is there a way to safely modify e.g. CF_NEW__ procedure in the custom package to add extra validations? I assume the CFP package will be overwritten when e.g. a new custom field is added or reinstalled and all changes will be lost, so it is probably not straightforwad. Any ideas?
