Hello,   I’ve been trying to use PL/SQL scripts to update some custom fields in IFS 10.  I used the following:   (code snippet)       VC_INFO_      := NULL;       VC_OBJID_     := V_OBJID_;  -- obtained via cursor       VC_ATTR_CF_   := 'CF$_CF_CUSTOMER' || CHR(31) || 'C101040' || CHR(30);       VC_ATTR_      := '';       VC_ACTION_    := 'DO';        ifsapp.INVENTORY_PART_CFP.Cf_Modify__ (            INFO_       => VC_INFO_         ,OBJID_      => VC_OBJID_         ,ATTR_CF_    => VC_ATTR_CF_         ,ATTR_       => VC_ATTR_         ,ACTION_     => VC_ACTION_       ) ;           This worked on a standard free entry field, but does not work on a referenced field.  Is there any way to do this via script, or will this require a different method to update?  Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi,   I have issue about customization deployment in Linux.   in windows, i can deploy customization successfully with run re-configure. but, when i try in linux, the runtime is not deployed (client.war is not generated), and also there is no the figure below when run re-configure  advice please. Thanks.

Can any one suggest how explicit call as execution point in FSM business rule will work. One sample data will be very helpful. 

Hello community,   We are setting up a IFS Connect SFTP Reader, in APP10.  Completed the info required, and market the connector as enabled.  It is suppose that in this version APP10, it is not required to reset the middle server, and it should start to work after setting enabled in the connector setting   There is not any message/ and the connector look like is not working start to work.   How shall we star the connector? is there some missing action?

Can someone tell me what is non part usage disposition?Where to use this concept in our FSM application.One sample data will be good to understand the concept.    

As mentioned in the first post, this issue should be solved by doing the sorting in the datasource. https://community.ifs.com/products-all-about-making-and-managing-stuff-40/lobby-chart-in-sort-by-x-axis-1189#post4824 But when I do this, it doesn't work and still it sorts on the amount column instead of the date column.

Hi. Does anyone have anything that might help me with custom tabs in Aurena? I need to add a custom tab, based on a custom logical unit, into a CRM screen. The LU has been created with a Projection in the EE client, and I’ve created the Projection in Aurena, but I’m not sure what the next step should be or how to get the custom LU to appear as an entity to connect it to the new page. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ian.  

I had been wondering how to insert sticky notes from an api. Sticky notes use two tables: FND_NOTE_BOOK_TAB and FND_NOTE_PAGE_TAB. There is one note book for an object that can have multiple note pages. Each page is connected to the note book via a note_id. To test this I prepared the following: A script to insert a new note book (this is when you don’t have sticky notes yet on an object) A script to insert a new note page based upon the note id as prepared in step 1. Via help I have been attempting to use the graphical structure to define positions but within that structure, a position ID is required before it can save.  What am I missing?

Hi, Is there any possibilities to do calculation automatically after leaving the text box. i have two scenario.   In same page,  there are 3 text boxes text1 , text2 , text3. After entered the value in text1, text2 then sum value should display in text3. (I can do this using trigger when they saving. But is there any options avail before saving?) Same as above criteria. But difference is, text1 is avail in different page/custom page and text2,text3 avail in different screen.    Please let me know is there any option to do like this.  Thank you

Database is IFS Apps 10 UPD 7 What do I need to do to be able to create the MWS instance and bring it up to date in relation to deliveries without affecting the database.  You advise is much appreciated.  

Does anyone know the syntax to structure custom menu options? For example if I wanted to have two custom menus reporting to Customer Order as in the below example. Shop Order… Customer Order Print Customer Invoice Manual Reservation… Inventory Part In Stock I was able to get this to work before with certain syntax in the Menu Text, but I could not find the syntax in the documentation.     The expected results would look similar to Recalculate Commission below. Where Update Calculated commissions and Update All Commissions report to Recalculate Commission as the parent.  

Could someone confirm if we can see shop order load against the “Person” please? I assume we can’t because we connect the labor class to the resource group.  I guess it will be same with production schedule and CRP calculated loads too. Tried to find a documentation to check if there are prerequisites but it was not successful.  Nav. path -Resource Management\Analysis\Resource Analysis

There is a screen called Perform Definitions under Studio menu. What is the use of that screen. Can anyone suggest me.  Any sample data relating to this will be helpful.    Thanks in advance.

Can Someone tell how we can block the default pop up which is being occurred by the customized client script(baseline client script also),if we apply that script to any screen. Like in this screenshot i have applied one client script to work order screen(Request screen).Functionality wise the script is working fine but the default pop up is coming.i just want to block that pop up.How can i do that?  

I would like to record absences that are ongoing where I do not have an end date. From what I can tell, the absence registration requires both a FROM date and a TO date. I would like the not have to enter the TO date, leaving the absence open and then reporting as such. As it were, am having to record sickness in outlook, then add to IFS once I know the absence dates. Would prefer to keep all in once place.   How do you guys record open-end sickness in IFS?   Thanks   Bruce

Hi,   I’m looking for a procedure to get the shipment id from the customer order lines screen. I can’t find one in shipment_api, shipment_line_api, or anything that looks like it remotely has anything to do with shipments.   Does anyone know how I can pull this?   Thanks, Mike    

We are in APPs 8 and we would like to use document management. What are the best practices if we want to attach external files (like email, pictures…) on which we do not want to manage revisions or approvals. Is it correct to create a specific class for external documents ? It is required to put this kind of document in “released” or “approved” state ? or else, is it possible to automate the “released” state for one class of document ? Thanks for your help

Can anybody Recommend how to Generate Request ID Sequence based on Static Value.   Like  The Request ID is been Generated from ‘1’ but I need My request ID should start from 5000 and the counter should begin from 5000.   One Sample would be very helpful.   Thanks in Advance.    

After upgrading to UPD7 company logos and report graphics seems to have been changed to require to be in the database. There is a fallback setting in Systeminformation but is it anyone else having problems with images on operational reports?
