We are on Alliance v15 and are using the new feature ‘serialize at usage’ for a new customer. The issue we are running into is that these parts can only be shipped alone (on separate ship lists) as opposed to shipping with the rest of an order that is not serialized. Is this the intended way for this to work? Is there a workaround? Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi,

Assumption you have multi products on Service Order that need to be shipped togetherin one Shipment Document. One of the product is Serialized at Usage.

You can ship them via General Queue. After all products have been allocated, you can select all of them and Ship.

Hope this help.

Rgds,

Joshua

Hi, @Joshua Liem, your assumption is correct and we are following the steps you mention, however we get a system error if trying to ship all together.
Suggestions on anything to look at on product setup, etc.? Should a support ticket be opened on this issue?

Hi Phil,

What error number do you see?

If you see BC/BO error, it could mean data issue and you need to open a support ticket.

The below is an example of the error we receive.

Hi Phil,

Yes this is an application error that need to be investigated by IFS. Please log a ticket.

Alliance should be able to ship multiple demand materials even with mixed of ‘Serialized at Usage’ type of demand as long as their shipping address are the same.

Rgds,

Joshua

Hi Leann!  Thanks for opening a ticket.  I agree with Josh’s response and will take a look at the issue.

Leann, this issue was reported by another customer as well.  I reproduced it and have escalated to our developers for further review/remediation, and will keep you posted.
