No handling unit label created under Shop Floor Workbench

Hello dear all!We will print Handling Unit Labels directly from Shop Floor Workbench.We start on Shop Floor Workbench, RMB - Approve Operation …. but no Handling Unit label are printed.The following points have been carried out:Open: Manufacturing\Shop Floor Reporting\Shop Floor Workbench Select a Work Center RMB „Approve Operation“ on a SO No. Insert „Qty to report“ – for example 1 – OK Receive Reserved Lots – OK Attach Parts to Handling Units for Receipt – activate „Print Handling Unit Labels“ - OK The Windows are closing, but no Handling Unit labels are printedAlso, we don't see any reports in the report archive, meaning that anything was printed at all.Only the following workaround is work, to create a handling unit label:Warehouse Management\Quantity in Stock\Handling Units In StockWe open the Handling Unit, RMD – Print this handling unit label – IFS created the label.Why does ifs not create a handling unit label? Have anyon a tip for us?Stefan

How cancel a WO after receiving parts from a WO's PO?

Hi everyone, in Apps10 EE I'd like to know if it's possible to cancel a WO even if a PO linked to it has already been received in inventory and closed. I'd add that I've tried to unreserve all in inventory but nothing better. Now I have no reserved parts for this WO, a closed PO but when I try to cancel it, the system pops up an error message telling that I cannot cancel a work task becasue a PO exists on it. However, this last one is closed... Does it mean that we're not allowed to cancel a WO after receiving parts from a PO on it?Thanks

Test-A-Rest Tool in IFS Cloud - Documentation/IFS Academy

Hi All,Since the build place envs are short lived envs, we may backup all the data setups before the envs expire and need to restore them back again in the newly ordered envs.I’m trying to find any documentation or maybe a demo or an academy course that explain the tool and how we can work with it.I could download the tool from the build place but have no clue how to use it.I’m very thankful if someone can share some information/sources regarding the tool.Many thanks!BR,Thilina

Service request customer address field comes blank for customer Location

Hi All,When we have a location that is connected to the customer address it must be a visit address for service to use the address on work orders. When we create a new service request using this functional object that has that location ID. Service request starts off with no address on it. If the party type ‘location’ is connected, address will be fetched correctly. This makes using the customer address connection completely useless on creating service requests. Work Task Step Navegation MWO

Hi Everyone.Is there an option in MWO Maintenance Aurena App to put the same functionality of the mWorkOrder app? Tried to find a solution in App Designer but I couldn’t. I’m using UPD12 latest version of the app> 10.14.1362.0 The buttons inside the work task step to navegate from one to another. Please see prints bellow? E.g.: In new app, I need to enter into the step, write a remark, set as Done, go back to the list and enter into the second step and so on. From UPD8 I think, Rnd has created two buttons Previous and Next inside the step to avoid do that.Tks a lot.mWorkOrder app: MWO Maintenance.

Is it possible to add a prefix to the delivery note number, or change the formatting in any way. I would like to differentiate it from the shipment number.

HR API - Primary Organization

Hi,When creating new users using the HR API, the ADMIN organization is assigned to the users by default, however in restricted mode. You must then manually assign a Primary Organization through the GUI.How do other IFS Maintenix users handle this when loading multiple users using the HR API?

Can e-mail address be non-mandatory for Contacts - v15.2

HiQuestion from our users: is it OK to set the e-mail field for contacts to being non-mandatory (with Customizer)? Or is there a setting for this?If this has to be mandatory - what about contacts without e-mail addresses upgraded from v12.5 - will they cause problems?

Customer Contact Phone Number Formating

Hello,I am hoping someone can help me with this. We leverage contacts for CRM and Quotations. We continue to notice that there is not a standard phone formating for contact phone number. We can you (XXX)XXX-XXXX, XXX-XXX-XXXX, or XXXXXXXXXX. Is there a way to set a default formating so that when users enter the phone number it appears consistently within IFS? Thanks!Carrie Tietjen

Validation XML with or without max rows

Will there be a performance impact if a validation XML is used without max rows? Let’s say the hierarchy select in the validation XML generates thousands of records. Will it be beneficial to limit it to just one (or the first) row?In SQL, it’s typical to use a top X statement to minimize any performance impact.

Intersite Flow: Automatic Part Creation

We are in IFS App10 Upd9.Need to design a solution where in the absence of a Sales part in the Supply site, the incoming customer order triggers a notification and possibly creates the inventory part / sales part. (Master Part is available) automatically upon approval. Is there somebody already using a similar setup? Need not be the same. What would be the best way to implement this? Please share your ideas. Thanks.

The part exists in inventory with Not Lot Tracking

Hi All,We have a request to update an existing part.Currently the part’s Lot/Batch tracking has setup as ‘Not Lot Tracking’ and need to update to ‘Order Based’. When we try to do this we are getting an error ‘The part exists in inventory with Not Lot Tracking’ because we can see data in Inventory part in stock.Kindly advise me to how to proceed with this.I really appreciate if you can give me your opinion.

SA Reporting on time metrics

Hi, We are using V14.5 and are trying to get a report from Astea to show “on time” reporting, so we want to compare the work date/time that they report that they did the work, to the actual date/time they wrote the report. The problem were are having is to find the date that they first wrote their report. All the dates we have found available get updated if anyone else makes a change to the status at a later date/time.Does anyone have any suggestions of how/where we can capture the date that an SA first creates their Activity start and end dates/times? We are trying to encourage on-time, on-site reporting so need a reliable way to know which SA’s are achieving that and of course, which are not.

Unable to search in V15 for Customer Center or Customer Contracts

We have a trial installation of V15 and it works for most users but I am getting an error whenever I search in the Customer Center or in the Customer Contracts module However, if I search for an installed item, I can then zoom to the Customer/site from there, without issue.If I log in on my PC as another user, I have no problem, so must be in my employee settings but they are exactly the same as other users, as far as I can see.I have cleared the cache and history, deleted temp folders, remove the V15 file from %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Astea, changed security profile and also bypassed security, all to no avail.Anyone have any suggestions what I need to do?

Migration Job - create output file

Hello, I set up a migration job which creates a csv file and exports it on a file location on my computer. The job does get executed and the information message says that it exported the file (see screenshots). The problem is that no file is created.Even if I delete the File Path location, the job gets executed without an error message. Any ideas where to check?Thanks, Golo

Hi everyoneOur system appears to have stopped posting machine overhead to the accounts when a shop order is completed. I’m looking at the work centre that is used and the value is only on cost set 2 and not in cost set 1 (inventory value) - will this be the issue? Thanks, Derek

Planning Method B Order Point - fulfilled PR/PO still counted as supply?

We are looking to start using Order Proposals for some of our inventory items.Set-up is:Planning Method BOrder Point 100Lot Size 25 There is 0 Qty on Hand as this is a new part.(with no demand coming from any work order, etc..)Create Order Proposal job is initiated.A Purchase requisition is created with 100 being recommended to purchase. This is then crated into Purchase order, received into inventory, and then closed.All works as expected to this point. Now we relieve some inventory, either by Count, or by material requisition. The Qty on Hand is now below 100, and actually we’ve taken it to 0. We expect the Order Proposal to create another purchase Requisition...but it does not. It will only create one if we change the Order point to 101 or higher. Ex. - we changed it to 2,000, only to have the Requisition call for 1,900. Can someone explain what we’re missing either in set-up, or understanding of how this process works?
