Hi,With mobile edge,is it possible to add a new button and for this button to set a deeplink to a tier customer application ?Today, we could only have an URL in an attachment that open a new application, but for this requirement, we need to have the ID of the current SV to the link in order to open the same SV in the tier customer application.It looks like a XOI or HL integration, but with a “hand made” link to an external customer applications (our customer is a service provider for many clients) .  For this Requirement, we should have the capability in the back end to set the URL link.I know that today it’s impossible, but did we ever made a customization like that for a project ?Thanks and RegardsAnthony

Hi all,I searched through the tech docs and these forums, but I am having a problem figuring out if I can create some conditional formatting based on what approval step a Change Order is at. I see there are available columns such as Approved By, etc, but I’m referring to the Attachments pane → Approval Process. Is there some sort of SQL magic I can insert?  For Example:I’d like the Sales Price Group field (on a CO Line under the Actions tab) to be mandatory IF the Change Order is at the Approval Step where Group ID = ‘PRICE_APPROVERS’.  Conditional formatting dialog on overall Change OrderConditional formatting dialog when clicked into CO Line sectionApproval Step requiring approval from PRICE_APPROVERS group ID Hopefully this is enough context.TIA!Jenna

I am having trouble finding he correct projection to resolve this error?  I comes when I am trying to print a customer invoice from Sales>Invoicing>Customer Invoice.  I select he Share button and then Print invoice. 

Hi, We are creating some custom views within the IFS Oracle database so that we can pull the data from the views into the IFS BI Module using SSIS packages. Most of the time when I am running the SQL scripts to test the views everything works fine but occasionally we run into errors like the following: ORA-04068: existing state of packages has been discardedORA-04061: existing state of package "IFSAPP.SHIPMENT_CFP" has been invalidatedORA-04065: not executed, altered or dropped package "IFSAPP.SHIPMENT_CFP"04068. 00000 - "existing state of packages%s%s%s has been discarded"*Cause: One of errors 4060 - 4067 when attempt to execute a storedprocedure.*Action: Try again after proper re-initialization of any application'sstate. If I run the script again right after everything works. Does anyone know what causes this error and what we should do to avoid it? Our scripts often make use of IFS Views as they usually have the additional data like Custom Fields that we need. Thanks, Mark Mruss

I’m a bit confused with the functional differences between 2 fields in the different Engineering Part Revision Forms. One is “Eng Rev” (or Eng Revision) and the other one is just “Rev No” (or Revision No) In IFS Explorer the first field is described as “The engineering part revision for the selected part. This field cannot be modified. This field is for information only and affects nothing else in the system. “The second one (Rev No) is described as “The internal counter used to keep track of all revisions for a part. For each new revision, the counter is incremented by one. This is used to correctly order part revisions in forms and reports. This field cannot be updated manually.” … yet conceptually I can’t wrap my head around of the difference or how are they supposed to be used in different ways. Anybody can explain this for me? Thanks!

In a number of threads I've read that regular (older) Migration Jobs (FndMig) are not the favorite anymore. One better uses Data Migration Manager.Where does that leave Excel migration jobs? They are linked to FndMig, as far as I know.If FndMig is deprecated and may not be available anymore in coming versions, where does that leave the implementation/explanation of Excel migration jobs?Is it better for consultants not to mention that it exists?Is it better for customer not to start using them or trying to remove them from the possible functionality to use in IFS Cloud?I'm interested in your thoughts,Steve

Hi,In Alliance we can set configuration for a customer site.In a configuration we can add a product or a Installed Item.Directly in the configuration viewer transaction, we can open a service order for an item of the configuration.Based on that, could we saw/add the configuration ID or description on the service order as reference. Then, the goal is to display this data in mobile edge (because we can’t see directly a configuration in detail site menu).I tried to add a new field as computed lookup in a service order but I didn’t find the way to add this reference.Is there a way to do that ?rem : I know that a Installed Item could be in a many configurations, but in the use case where we create the service order directly from the configuration viewer transaction, we could expect that this data is “populated” in the order.Thanks and Regards​​​​​​​anthony 

There is an area in IFS Cloud called Scheduled Work Tasks.  It is a list of work tasks. I am referring to running database tasks. Where do I find why Work tasks show in this area? What is different here than work task lists? Is there a manual to explain areas of the IFS?

Hello,I have an object with acquisition value of 5000 and depreciation method REM BP. For the first FA period I calculated and posted depreciation. Then I entered an invoice in amount of 2000 against the FA object using acquisition account.The newly created invoice is automatically updated FA object transactions with Ext Add Investment. Until here everything is fine.Then I calculated depreciations for next periods and posted. Ext Add Investment value is not considered for regular periods but with last period as residual.What setup I need to complete to include Ext Add Investment value into depreciation amount? The value is posted with residual in the last FA period of object. This is depreciation method details Thanks

We have just upgraded from Metrix 5.3.3 to FSM6.15. On the Stock screen the Quantities tab shows 0 quantities in stock locations that have stock in them, yet the Bins & Serials tab is showing the correct serial ids and the correct stock count in the Bin On Hand field. is there a way to show the correct Quantities in the Quantities tab also? Thank you in advance for any help with this

In older versions of IFS, using Shop Floor Employee reporting, there was a function to automatically assign an indirect job to an employee when clocked in for time and attendance. This indirect job was also started automatically when a shop order operation was stopped.Is there a way to solve this in current setup with indirect jobs and Shop Floor Workbench? Our scenario is that we have some warehouse workers where main task is warehouse work (defined as indirect job) but in some cases they also report on shop orders.  We want the indirect job to be automatically assigned and only report deviations from this, e.g. reporting of shop order (start and stop) from SFWB.

We’ve been experimenting with the API and we’re wondering if there is an example of a POST request for an Event. The documentation on https://wiki.axiossystems.com/assyst11-3Wiki/index.php/Integrations:assystREST#Requests shows what the format of the request would look like but not all the required fields. I have looked through the resource schema on to find what fields are mandatory on events, every single field under events has a minOccurs attribute so that leads me to believe that none of the fields are mandatory? It would help our understanding to see an example of a POST request for an event with all of the mandatory fields. Where could we find one for reference?

Hi!I’m looking for a way to track changes in permission sets on users. I.e I’d like to see who changed a permission set on a user and when. I can’t find a suitable configuration in History Log or a table to set up a custom event on.Does anyone have an idea as for how to solve this?

Hi,does anyone know what the highest (newest) Windows OS version that is certified to be used with IFS Apps 7.5 SP7 middleware server?There used to be a series of certification pages on the IFS Partner Portal that documented the lowest/highest OS versions that were certified by IFS, but I can’t find those pages today.Any help would be appreciated.I have a customer who is running IFS Apps 7.5 and their middleware servers are running Windows 2003. This makes them vulnerable and they are askling me me which OS they can upgrade to without breaking the IFS middleware server.Thanks in advance,Steve Barker 

Hi All, I’ve watched the 5 min video on IFS Academy on the IFS Cloud Web DevTools. It seemed like an extremely useful chrome extension that makes troubleshooting/debugging much more easier.When I go to Add-Ons, I don’t see anything related to IFS Cloud Web DevTools. I tried using 21R1 and also 22R1.Any idea since which version this tool will be available? It it only from 22R2?
