Service queue alternative

HI -we will be moving to Astea version 15 . previously in 14 we  would use Service Queue for our “pool queue” for all jobs to drop in to and then various people take them into their own queues to work on . What alternative modules do people use that would have that same function ?

'Unrecognizable characters found' - Dev. Studio - Cloud?

Hi, We have special characters in a file (attached in .zip).Dev. Studio cannot deploy it, saying:  First error location is highlighted.On the other hand PL/SQL Developer has no problem with it when deploying.Also standard deployment/delivery procedure gives us no error for this.The file is already in UTF-8, according to for instance, Notepad++.Dev Studio version is in the picture.What should we do to be able to deploy it from Dev., Studio?

Analysis - Inventory Issued, Inventory Replenished

New IFSCloud user here. I need help analyzing inventory issued and inventory replenished during a period. I have no clue where to begin my analysis. I have reviewed the “Inventory Transactions History” report/screen export and believe this can be determined by the “Transaction Code Description” of which there are 33. Specifically, inventory issued = “Issue From Inventory” and inventory replenished = “Receipt into Inventory”.

Capability to open IFS Applications Software via URL

Hi there,I’m know it’s possible to create a hyperlink that triggers an external application.  Does IFS Application ERP support this? I’d like to integrate to IFS (the program, not cloud) create a record and have the URL returned.Then upon success, provide the user a hyperlink that would then open the ERP system with the order directly. IFSApp://recordURLParameterHere<a href="IFSApp://recordURLParameterHere">Open Created Record</a> Thank you all for your insight

Can't Remove Site From Resource Connections

I've accidentally added a site to the “Connections” for a resource group. However, I can’t remove it. I get the following error:Site 1040 is used on Capacity Basis tab.  But can’t see how we can remove this from the capacity basis tab.

Voucher Type does not populate in Transfer Work Taks Reposting Transactions

Hi all 😊,I’m having an issue of connecting the Voucher Type ‘TR’ in Transfer Work Taks Reposting Transactions. None of the Voucher Type gets populated in this pane.Below is the Voucher Type I need to get connected.I wonder why this is not behaving as expected. IFS Cloud - PDF viewed in browser vs download and view

21r2, using Chrome and with Aurena Agent installed, I find that the “eye” preview icon on a document attachment opens a PDF in the browser, whereas if i go to the document and click “View” i get the standard docman download to local checkout path.What’s the reason for the difference?Is there a way to get the eye/in-browser preview elsewhere?Preview in browser:

When converting a Sales Quotation to a Customer Order, how do control the Status of the Sales Order Created?

We will be implementing IFS CRM in our Cloud 23R2 environment in the second half of the year.  We are testing the conversion of Sales Quotations into Sales Orders and noticed that the Resulting Sales Order is created in a Status of “Released”.  Can we control this so that the Sales Order Created is in a “Planned” Status?

Shop Floor Reporting (SFWB) Split time charging between multiple Ops on different SOs

We are building different part #s (so they are on different SOs) to the same build process so we want to be able to charge time and execute the operations of the individual SOs at the same time. How would an employee be able to charge time between 2-5 SOs, where it either evenly splits between the operations, or splits based on lot sizes?

Purchase Part Price Approval Process?

Hello!I’m looking to have a process in IFS for Part Price Approvals. The idea is whenever a Buyer from our company negotiates a new price with a Supplier, that new price needs to be approved by their manager. We have an example template below for outside of IFS. Any suggestions? Is there an existing module for this? Thank you!

Default Location Missing- Inventory Part

We are having an issue with one of our users who is stating the default location is getting deleted without anyone modifying this in any way. Does anyone know of any processes that removes this automatically?

Documentation/Live use cases on RFID usage

@Mayura Wasantha @Krishantha @AvinduHendawitharana @TsuRusseM Hey Guys,How you guys doing? We have a large customer wanting information on RFID usage.   We saw a few posts that were old and not really detailed.  Do you have anything written up we could look at?  Russell is scoping what they think their use case and will add more specific information but I’m sure we must have something written up for using it to pull in asset ids and spare parts.  Has it been used with mWO?  Has it been used with WaDaCo?  Will it work in Apps 10 and Cloud?  Any hardware requirements...etc. Thanks in advance,Jerry

Setup connection for OAuth

I have troubles finding even base material on how to prepare the security needed to have a 3rd party application using a REST API. First step I want to use is Postman. With that authorization settings are needed. Which should I use? A user with user type: Service User? Where to use OAuth in IFS?All ideas welcome.

Purchase Requisitions / Shop order Requisitions in the past - clean up?

This will be somewhat scatter brained because I’m unsure where to start. We’re using Apps9. Currently,  our system is driving purchasing and shop order reqs with start dates in the past.  this makes sense to me if we’re trying to meet a certain date for production due to sales orders etc based on the (poor) information we’re feeding the system, but obviously I cannot or produce order something to arrive in March if it’s already April.  Moreover, it doesn’t appear that MRP or Master Scheduling is cleaning up these back dated reqs.  Clearly step one is fix the bad data, but which besides lead times? I know I need to clean this information up, but it’s unclear where - these reqs are sitting in either a proposalcreated or planned status.  Any guidance on how to eat this elephant would be appreciated - it seems wholesale deleting them is an option, but given the amount of clean up utilities and other functions within IFS, that seems in-congruent with the way the rest of the system works.

FSM Mobile - Microsoft Patch stops Initialisation (KB5035855)

Hi,Anyone else patched their servers recently and had KB5035855 installed?It’s been installed on our Test and Live Mobile servers, and after installation, the device fails to fully completed an initialisation. Get stuck on the image below. As you can see it says the process has ended, but the device just spins.I uninstall the KB and restart the server. The moment that happens the process completes fully. Therefore, just wondering if this is known at IFS and if others have had a similar issue too? Cheers Ady

Enable attachments on Shipment screen

I was looking how I could attach picking lists printed onto a shipment. I could only think about two options Use report archive and try to find the picking listIn report archive set the validity a bit longer (they only need 10 days) Try to find the shipment based on the notes (which is not so easy) Report rule and attach a shipmentSo secondly I was thinking of using a report rule and attach a shipmentbut I cannot see an attachment screen on shipment so I was not sure how to enable this. I checked object connections but could not choose shipment as an entity? Its on this screen I would like to attach some documents  @Tomas Ruderfelt @Mathias Dahl
