Hello Everyone, The client has implemented the following time reporting process: Employee: Reports and confirms time. Line Manager: Authorizes time. Project Manager: Approves time. Once the Line Manager has authorized the time, the Project Manager needs to review and approve the transaction. I would like to know if there is any specific column or field in the Project Transactions window where the Project Manager can view the time reporting that has already been authorized by the Line Manager. Any suggestions or advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Navoda

Hello, We use IFS apps 9 and we create Projects and Shop order (same name as the Project) for a site manually. We do not link them currently. We are trying to somehow capture the project information in the Shop order. We can’t select the Project while we create the Shop order. It doesn’t list any project and we can’t hand type it.

Dear Colleagues, I encountered an issue with Sales Contract reporting Planned Revenue. There are 4 contracts and only one does not report Planned Revenue. The settings are the same - posting rules, Revenue Codes, definiton of items, etc. TEST is the last one which I created from the scratch with the same settings as W-0002. The prerequistions for reporting Planned Revenue seem to be fullfilled: Any ideas for further checking are very welcome :) Thanks in advance.

How to Track Work In Process in a Project I am working with a ship builder that has the requirement to track work in process as it moves from one work area to another. Think of large modules of a ship that may move to various areas. The manufactured components are then assembled together into a piece of work an process. It is not yet a finished item, but the customer wants to be able to locate that item somewhere in the facility, Oh let's complicate this a be=it more. The module that has been assembled may not have a part number. A long time ago, in a galaxy far away I worked on the project for the US Army at an arsenal that manufactured Howitzer cannons. They also wanted the ability to track the cannon tube (barrel) from the foundry, through all its manufacturing steps an assembly steps. We were un the midst of degning a process to do this but then the US Army put the project on hold. It seems that when I create a Shop Order within Project Deliverables that the system automatically sets the Supply Type for the Material to Project Inventory . Is there a way to define the parts or setup the system so that we can use standard inventory for the shop order material? Thank you Patrick

In IFS Cloud - does anyone know how to remove the + (add record) symbol from the Project (and Sub Project) Materials and Services screen, but leave it there for Activity Materials and Services screen. We have tried to “@Override” the “page ProjectLevel using Projects {“ statement by adding “visible = [false]” on the tabs but this didn’t work. The below should show what we want to achieve:

Hi All, I have defined two TIME report codes in the application. One is for normal time and another one for overtime. Employees are reporting time against the project activities through the Time Registration window. While reporting time, employees enter 8hours under Normal Time report code and if any additional hours, it's report under Overtime report code. If the internal price of employee A is 100, I need cost to be reported as below. If the report code is Normal Time, cost should be 100 x 1 = 100 per hour. If the report code is Overtime, cost should be 100 x 1.5 = 150 per hour. Simple my Internal Price criteria's are Employee and Report code. But I cannot define that combination in any of below screens. I cannot use Resource ID instead of Employee. Because my employees rate are differ from one to another even in same Resource Group. I want to define a huge project in project form(the number of activities is a lot). I assign a calendar to project but I need to assign different calendar to some activities of this project(different from what we set up at the beginning). I want to know is it possible to do this? If the answer is YES, that would be great to let us know how we can set this feature?Product Version: UPD24Business Impact: About business impact I should mention that by assigning different calendars to different activities in MSP our % planning progress will be different from what we define in IFS application and we will face wrong data for our monthly progress report to our managers which these reports are queries from IFS data. Greetings! I am trying to add a part number in a certain configuration structure in IFS 10 but I keep getting this error, “Phase in Date of this component conflicts with parent revision date range.” The part number has a phase in date of 06/24/2024 and the phase in date of the configuration structure I want to put it in has a phase in date of 08/03/2023 and does not have a phase out date. Not sure why it won’t let me add the part number

Dear all, Does anyone know in which scenarios it is necessary to perform a refresh of project connections? I have a customer who occasionally experiences issues that are resolved with such a refresh, but this occurs very rarely. What I’d like to know is what can cause disturbances in project connections that require this kind of refresh to prevent issues. Thanks for your help.

Could the community share any recommended workarounds or best practices to adjust the invoiceability of employee company MCPR transaction invoicability after they have been registered? As we understand it, once a project transaction has been registered, it is not possible to change its invoiceability directly in the project transaction view or reviewed in the project transaction review view. However, we are encountering on a regular basis situations where the original invoiceability of a transaction is incorrect and we cannot correct it. The reasons for incorrect invoiceability are the following: User error: invoiceability incorrectly defined for the activity report code. System error: project transaction does not fetch the invoicability as defined in the activity report code. Business case: in a shadow payroll situation, the project transactions are used to allocate costs but not invoiced through project invoicing. Project Managers and Controllers need an easy way to access the Sales Contract directly from the Project definition screen. This would save time and improve accuracy. Without this link, finding and verifying sales contracts is slow and can cause frustration, lowering productivity. As the list of contracts grows, it will become even harder and more inconvenient to search for the linked sales contract. Right now, users have to filter and search through the list one by one, which is not convenient.

Hi Team, I have created a customer order with a line for inventory part. Then I created a Project from customer order and created a activity in the project and released it too. Then connected the activity to customer order line and ran PMRP. This creates a Project supply request and when I receive the PO, I do have a part to reserve to customer order line. Here there is no option to issue the part to Project. What is the reason for this ? Is this beacuse it was directly created without Project demand ? Now, If I create a Project demand for same part, create PR and then PO from that demand and receive the stock to business, It get reserve to Project demand line and I could issue it. Yet this part will not be available to resevrve to customer order line. what is the reason for this ? is there a reason to make this avilable for Customer order line reservation ?

Hi, I use Work List page when I create Maintenance Plan on the PM Action page. When I create a work order in the maintenance plan, the rows I create in the Work List are reflected as a job task in the work order. But the work list in the work task of the work order I created for the previous maintenance plan is reflected in the work task of the work order of the subsequent maintenance plans. I want to delete the rows from the work list, but it does not allow me to delete these job lists because they are used in the work order. How can I follow a way?

I get this message when I run Unfinished Activity Work: There is at least one Project Transaction which has not been completely invoiced or where Multi-Company Reporting Revenue voucher has not been created. It is about 6 months old, and I don’t know how to clear it. The Project Transaction is listed as Not Invoiceable.

Hi , for IFS , there are 6 system defined Project Roles , Project Manager Financially Responsible for a Project Sub Project Manager Financially Responsible per Sub Project Activity Responsible Financially Responsible per Activity Other But I cannot find any defination, any desribtion for each role’s permissions. like what can each role do and what cannot do. besides roles , there is another concept called “Project Access” ， with that , we can assign Team , Person to a sub-project . my question is So, if we assign sub-project access to person A , then what he is able to do? only report time? or he can made change to sub project ? eg:add activity, complete activity, complete sub-project(finical project) is there anyone can answer the question?

When exporting selected records from Project Connection screen after waiting for few minutes giving an error. Steps to re-create the issue.1. Navigate to Project Management -->Analysis-->Project Connections2. Query for any project with high volume data3. Try to export all rows and all columns. I can see the solution (System parameter - EXCEL_EXTENSION_MODE) for IFS Cloud.Is there a solution available for IFS APP10 Aurena as well?

Hi All, Looking for your thoughts in here. My client wants to have an acknowledgement step to the project manager in the Purchase requisition. I have set up an “Authorization Routing Template” with a project role for PM and role as “Acknowledger”. Created PR authorization rule as below. This rule is only applicable to Project connected PR s only. Rule will trigger for the PR s between GBP 11-250. I set up the PM in the Purchase authorization basic data window as an Acknowledger as well. But when I create a PR with a project connection ( which include the Project manager), and when I try to release the PR it gives me below error. Interesting thing is, when I change the “Authorization Role” to Authorizer in the Approval routing template as an Authorizer and then change the purchase authorizer basic data PM to Authorizer, PR is taking the correct authorization step. BUT this time its an Authorization instead of Acknowledgement. Could this be a bug? Or did I miss something. Any help is hig

Hello IFS Specialists One of our project controllers tried to change the activity sequence in the demand line because he had initially created the project supply request in the wrong activity. The requisition is still in the planned state. So in my opinion, he should be able to change the activity in IFS for the requestion as shown [My testing doesn't recreate the error so far] but getting the shown error. He could use a workaround like deleting the requisition and proceed. But I am wondering why this way isn't working. The screenshot is from an IFS Ref environment [24.1.3] Thanks,Asela

Our customer wants to delete a sales contract line that has items associated with it. However, even after deleting the items connected to the line, the contract line cannot be deleted. Do you have any suggestions for how to proceed with this activity in APPS 10?
