Hello Community,I’m facing difficulties when i want to make additional investment for an asset that is fully depreciated.  My question is: can i change estimated life of the asset or i should create a new asset in order to perform additional investment? thank you

I am working with a customer that has an on prem ESRI environment. We have set up the GIS in their PPR environment and in their Dev environment but still cannot see the interactive map in IFS.No one on the project has any experience with setting up ESRI. However this environment was set up by someone that knows what they are doing. We absolutely need this to work and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I can not add a printer in Print agents in IFS app9. I have added the printer in the logical printers list but can still not choose it in Print agents. Does anyone know what the solution to this could be?Since I can not add the printer in print agents, the job failes to print.Thanks!

Hello everyone, I would like to understand how to change status on objects without having to do it manually on IFS V8.When production department asks for a maintenance service they complete a fault report (in Service and Maintenance module) but they have no way to indicate if the equipment is stopped or still working (neither with operational status or operational condition). I would like to know if it is possible to modify object status in fault reports ? Is this function handle with another module ?How is this function working on IFS latest version ? Thank you for your help,Regards,Nicolas

The “Pick Complete” box on Requests/RMAs states “Indicates whether part needs cannot be picked until all part needs are allocated.”When mass print picking, default behavior is for picklists to be broken by “Ship Via” and “Promised Date”Is there a way to “Pick Complete” for only the individual picklists rather than then entire request?Example:On one request2 fully allocated Part Needs for Promise Dt 2021-09-081 backordered Part Need for Promise Dt 2021-09-151 fully allocated Part Need for Promise Dt 2021-09-15If the Request is set to “Pick Complete” no picklists will be generated. I would like to be able to “Pick Complete” for the Part Needs due 09-08 and leave the Part Needs due 09-15 until they can be fully allocated.Is that possible? -Ethan

Hi,In the Maintenance Module in IFS10, PM Action, we will use the PM Group Id and Merge function frequently. What are the triggers that determines if there will be more than one Work Task?Normally the merge function would give you one Work Task with several steps. But there are exceptions. I have tried with different intervals; that generates more than one Work Task (and not all as steps on one Work Task)I have also tried different work task templates, maintenance org., priority, actions…Question is which settings would always generate a new (an additional) work task when we use the Merge function on a PM Action? kind regardsChristian

When adding demand for a Rental Part in a Project Activity, the Project Supply can be initiated and a Purchase Order is created. As the planned rental duration days is mostly estimated at this time, this number is changed during the Project Lead time on many occasions. When the quantity of rental duration days is changed in the Project Demand there is no option to modify the open Purchase Order. This option is only available if the required quantity of the of a Rental Part is changed, however this does not occur too often. The asset to hire remains 1 pcs on most occasions but the duration is flexible. Only option is to change the demand in the Project Navigator AND to manually change the number of rental duration days in the Purchase Order. This leads to mismatched in the system and to hard to match supplier invoices when administration is not up-to-date. How do we select serialized parts or lots part while adding them in material order (created in Work Order)? We get the details of the parts after adding them in material order line. But while searching parts, we do not have the option to select serialized or lot part?

We are defining material demands on Work Tasks / Material. All inventory parts are purchased, have planning method B, order point 0 and lot size 1. Expected result when running the Order Proposal: If an inventory part that is demanded on Work Task / Material is not available in stock, the order proposal creates a Purchase Requisition with the demand date from the Work Task as the Wanted Receipt Date on the PR Line. This works fine if we have a primary supplier for the part. We have defined lead times per supplier so that the demand is triggering the PR 45 days in advance. However, we don’t have (primary) suppliers for all parts. Whenever there is no primary supplier the leadtime of the part is set to 0 and the automatic PR is created the same day as the demand occurs. Please advice: Is it possible to set up leadtimes for purchase parts not connected to suppliers? We need to define an internal leadtime in order to have the demands generating PRs 45 days in advance of the actual demand.

We would like to use the Service and Maintenance module from IFS 10 and we have some question about Basic data.Serial Object (piece of machine, Ex Drilling Machine) can be defined with this list of Basic data:Category: Machine Object Type: Vertical Drilling Type Designation: EH-15 (model) Group ID: Drilling Item Class: ??Work Instruction Task Template used to define a PM programs  can be linked to a Category, Object Type or Object Designation (Machine model in my example)PM program: it seems we can connect PM program only through Process Class and Item ClassI have some trouble to understand the logic. We can connect Work Instruction template to a type of machine, which sound logic. But i m not able later on to create a PM progam for this machine linking WTT via Type Designation. Only with Item Class.Does someone could share with an example how do you use PM program and Work Task Template?how should i understand “Item Class”?thanks for your support
