When i create a serial object I would like to prevent the description field from being overwritten by the article description. Is it possible ? there is a parameter but i don’t find it ?

According to my knowledge it is not possible to prevent the description field of Serial Object being overwritten by the part description. Even in the help text (IFSAPP10) it is mentioned as “At new entry, this field is automatically filled in when you retrieve a value in the Part No field “

No such setting or a parameter available to control it. You could try adding a custom ‘Description’ field here while hiding the original Description field. Would that work for you ?
