Hello,I dont see attachments section on B2B. I send to B2B document (request for order quotation) with attachment (header). I find this request on B2B, but in detail there is no section with attachment. And I don‘ t know what and where should I configured. Or is it about some licences? Expense module and Trip Tracker

Hi,We have IFS 9 I am trying to put in place Trip tracker 9, but I have a huge problem. Our company have offices in Canada, USA and Europe. For Canada we can save some taxes, according to each province law, so I have I different tax percentage, per province, per expense. Supposing I have 20 expense codes, for juste 5 provinces to parameter, in the end I will have 100 lines. My problem is how to show all this in Trip Tracker 9 if I can filter my expenses code.Can anyone have any idea? My boss is thinking to use another software to managing expenses, but I am trying to give I shot to IFS.Let me know if I was not clear enough.Thanks,

We would like a warning message to appear, when a user attempts to set a work order to status ‘Finished’ but they have not ticked a custom check box that we have set up. Can anyone point me in the right direction to set something like this up?

Apps9 Permissions in service and maintenance

All, I’m starting to set up permissions set for users to use the Service and Maintenance package and have an issue with RMB menu access.Screen shot for userCan anyone advice what else I need to grant access to to enable the RMB options ‘Equipment Object Navigator’ and ‘Measurements for Object’ - the users has been granted access to both these via the Presentation Objects by Navigator. I am thinking that there is an Activities or Database Object that I need to grant too but I can not see where, help.Thanks in advance for all and any help, Sarah

Handover of Work Order between shifts using Work Assignment Functionality

Dear All,IEE Version: IFS Application Version 10 Update 7I am looking for a functionality on work assignment to track time in two below scenarios. My customer is from service management background:Customer personnal (employees) are working in morning shift (6AM to 6 PM) and night shift (6PM to 6 AM) with 12 hours duration each. When work task duration is for more than a day multiple work assignments get created based on HR Schedules. We have status - assigned, accepted, start travel (onroute), waiting at location, work started, pauses and work completion for work assignments currently in standard application. Customer wants to track additional statuses for handover of work between the shift personals at the end of shift and want to track the status for travel back on the work assignments. Is there a way to do that ? For morning shift personal if the work is scheduled to start at 6 AM at customer’s client location then he will start planning work at say 4 AM (planning for necessary tool

How creating a webservice - IFS9

Hi,It did a few months since I am in IFS world. We are working with a third-party company to put in place a transaction site, all transactions must enter to IFS, and one problem we are having is that we need to create the customer in IFS once the transaction finalized. I found all documentation and I didn’t find any BizAPI to create customers. Does anyone know how to do this? I try to find documentation explain how to create a webservice on IFS but I didn’t find it.Thanks,

Error When Moving Documents between Document Repositories

We are running Apps10 UPD8.We are currently testing moving our document repository from the DB to an Shared Folder. We are getting a lot of “failed to move” errors with File not found in the repository 'DEFAULT' on the individual files listed. Digging into it further I foundFiles that have this error in our test environment cannot be viewed in our Production environment. In the majority of cases, there is no “Checked In” record in history and the view button is not enabled on the General tab. In a few cases, there is a “Checked In” record in history, but view errors out when it can’t find a file. I have not yet established if there is a pattern associated with our IFS version when the document was created (Apps8 vs Apps10).I’m thinking about doing the following to move forward. I’m wondering if anyone else has run into this and has recommendations on what worked.Plan to go forward.This error really means the file doesn’t exist so there is no “get the file back” in this scenario. Spell Check on IFS Fields

Is there anyway to perform a spell check on any IFS field?We are planning to use Service quotations, which will produce a quote letter to be sent to our customer. There will be multiple users and spelling mistakes may happen. We would like to pick these up before sending the service quote to the customer.We will be using a free text style field to enter details that will appear on the letter (produced via a crystal report).

Report Rule - Check In To Document Management Not Working

I created an IFS report rule that would auto attach a report PDF file to the linked business opportunity header. I would like to mention that the Report ID being used was built by someone else for us. This environment is on Apps 10 UPD8.The action type is set to ‘Check In To Document Management’. The ConnectedLU = ‘BusinessOpportunity’ had to be manually added, it was not found in the list of values.I created a new document class ‘600’The issue I’m having is that after clicking on the RMB in Business Opportunity to run the report and the PDF is created the Report Rule does not run at all, nothing gets attached to the selected BO.

what in the line codes advise whether or not it is something to be sent to the voucher when being billed?i have billable unchecked but it still gets billed. We have codes that dont go over and we’ve done identical settings but they still come over.

Change Document Repository

Hello,I hope somebody out there has experience moving documents from the database to an FTP Server.We are on IFS 9. In my screenshots below I have a document class in the database called APPE and I want to move the documents associated to this document class to an FTP server.I have created two repositories in the EDM Basic>Repositories windows. One line to indicate that APPE_R1 has the doc class that I want to move and another repository line APPE_R2 to accommodate the transfer of documents to the FTP repository.Then I have used the Change Document Repository Wizard and the first step makes sense as shown in screenshot below however then I am presented with a second page where it seems to be I have to allocate a document class again? I am confused about this screen, furthermore the Doc Class field does not offer a list of values.I hope somebody can give us a word of advise on this matter.Many thanksMiguel

Document Connection

Hi,I have connected an object to a document for Engineering Part Structure in the Objects tab on a document revision. But I cannot see the document on the Engineering Part structure itself. Is there another step that needs to be taken in order for this to appear on the Engineering Part Structure?Also, where is the set up to add items to the connect object list that appears on the document revision itself?

Case management - handover object

What is the opportunity in the call center to use the handover object for RMA ?In fact, when creating a RMA directly from the customer order header through the RMB “handle RMA”, all the customer order lines are automatiaclly fetched into the RMA in one click. And If I well understand the handover object, RMA is automatically linked to the parts which was associated manually in the business objects tab of the case. This means that if we have several lines to be returned by one customer, we have to link them manually to the case. Is it correct ?As per me, it takes much more time to use the handover function for RMA and do not really understand the purpose of such a function. And I have an other question :Why we cannot find in the attachments panel the case in which we link some business objects. For example, if I link a case to a customer order, this CO is not in the business object tab of the case and vice versa, if I link manually a CO in the business object tab of one case, I cannot f
