Service (Touch Apps, MWO, MRO)

On IFS Cloud 23R1.8, the IFS MWO Service app (24.8.1292.0) on Android devices will stop/pause initialization when the screen is locked.  The initialization does pick up where it left off once the screen is unlocked.  Is there a way to allow the initialization process to continue when the screen is locked?

Hi,We perform complex heavy aircraft maintenance. During this maintenance, we plan for alot of the maintenance, and identify thousands of non routines that needs to be corrected. Quite a few corrections/fixes for planned maintenance or non routines will trigger the need to perform tests after the maintenance is completed.I.e.: If we replace an electrical circuit, this will trigger the need to perform a test of that specific circuit when we reach the phase of “power on”. If we during the same maintenance replace a circuit breaker on the same circuit, the same test may be triggered again.We are trying to find somewhere in IFS Cloud where we can create this list of tests.Wishlist:It would be nice if the list is populated by both planning before maintenance, and triggered by non-routines reported during maintenance. Hi all, is it possible to assign UoM directly to a Work Task Cost Category?At the moment our Technicians have to add the unit every time they add an expense in the MWO App from the complete Units list.The non-inv sales part connected to the Cost Category has a unit defined (Sales Unit of Measure).Can this be applied automatically to the cost category connected to the sales part? Thanks,Chris

Hi All, I have a concern with Auto-time functionality in MWO. If a technician work from 15.00 to 19.00 (2 hours normal time 2 hours over time), it is fetched to the system as 4 hours only. Two split into two different time types, technician has to split the time by editing. To do that he needs to keep the work task after completion.Further, we cannot select time type when we complete the work with auto time enabled. We can only select a time type when we editing the times.How others work with auto time in different scenarios?TIA.

Hi all, it is not (by default) possible to add location and object based notes in the MWO Service Classic App.I can see the notes created in IFS Cloud, but I cant create anything else than a Task based note in the App.Is it possible to enable this somewhere? Thanks,Chris

Hi Experts, As for the customer’s requirement we are configuring a new screen inside of this steps overview screenlike if we click on step 1 we can go inside the new screen for step 1 and add relevant data.In there we need to go to the step 3 without going back to the overview screen of steps. For this in the new screen can we have a drop down of steps id in the header of the screen in MWOSimilar to this in screen in MWO header Thank you,Heshala. 

How can I enable Technician Portal in IFS Cloud?  Currently the data is not present when I try to access the screens. Please share any configurations/ permission sets required.

Hi,I am working on a IFS MWO Mobile Development (Customization). I have enabled state machine in one of my newly introduced entity (Planned, Released, Completed, Cancelled). I have added relevant code changes to the .client and .projection and already defined Sync policies on .app file. Now I am facing an issue when changing status from MWO it’s locally changing but not Syncing to the IFS Cloud. All other fields working as expected but ‘Objstate’ doesn’t change..offline file MWO  IFS Cloud 

According to the F1 documentation, the FS Migration Tool supports documents stored in both Shared and FTP document repositories. However, the documentation does not clearly specify how the Source option should be configured when the source is not a database. Could someone please advise on the correct setup for the Source option in such scenarios?Thank you!

Hi all, a few colleagues reported crashes of the MWO App classic on iOS when trying to complete a Work Task visit and starting the Service Report signature.One example is from an iPhone 16, iOS 18.5 and Client version 25.4.1460.0Are problems known? I try to assign a resource (belonging to the same company, site, resource groups etc.) via API-Calls to a task in a request. Unfortinately I can’t set application constraints to false to set a resource to this task? Good Afternoon,I have created three E-Forms in IFS 10 Aurena using our DEV testing environment.Is there any way to export this from DEV and import it into our Live IFS 10 environment, or will I need to create this again from scratch in Live?Any feedback would be much appreciated.

When we raise a work order in MWO it creates a temporary work order number, Originating System Id in the work order general tab on the EE work order,  which when synced to EE converts to a standard work order number.  The system will replace this originating system id on the tablet with the EE work order number but it is not consistent. Does anyone know what task synchronises these such that the originating system id in the tablet changes to the EE work order?The photo shows what appears on the tablet. Both work orders were raised on the tablet and one has converted the other hasn’t.Thanks very much Richard 

Hi All, I am facing an issue with syncing attachments to the MWO application in real time.For example, when a back-office user adds an attachment to a Request Work Task from the web client application, it does not sync immediately to the technician’s MWO application. The technician has to either wait for the next sync interval or reinitialize the app to receive the document.I noticed that the Sync Rules under ‘Document Management’ security group are all set to the Batch delivery method.How can I configure it so that documents sync in real time?Is there any alternate baseline OOTB solution available to send a particular attachment immediately to the technician?I am using IFS Cloud 24R2 environment.Thanks in Advance. Regards,Sandya S

Hello, When we use mwo Configured workflow configuration, we have noticed that some of the actions (such as Event log, Service book etc.) are not available as ‘Action flow’ actions.  Those actions can be enabled from the ‘Actions’ tab.  Since it cannot be added to the Action flow list, the flow cannot be streamlined.  Only option is adding ‘TASK_ACTIONS’ to the action flow and ask the users to select the relevant action and process.  Any reason for not them to be included in the Action Flow tab?   Thanks!\Nethmi

How do I configure IFS Business Reporter so that the generated Excel file can be refreshed and used repeatedly? Unfortunately, in my case, once the Excel file is generated and saved to a local or network drive, it fails to connect to the database and retrieve updated data in subsequent cycles. Has anyone experienced this and can help me?

Hello,In the MWO Service app, is there a way for a technician (when assigned or transferred a request work task) to directly update specific attributes on the Actual Object record (e.g., software/firmware version) so that these updates persist and are visible on any future work tasks created for that same object?The goal is to have the updated object details automatically available to other technicians who may be dispatched to the same asset in the future on other work tasks, without having to re-enter the information or informing them of the last recorded version to let them know if they need to update accordingly.I attempted to achieve this via Test Points/Parameters, but there seem to be restrictions on the parameter types that can be used, which limits capturing certain types of data.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,I’m trying to add a new page into MWO Maintenance application. Is this technically possible? Right now I have created a new page and added it in the Aurena native apps navigator.  I tried refreshing the cache and initializing the sync, but, this screen is not visible in the MWO.  I tried adding a custom field in the object screen which seems to work fine. Kindly let me know is there any way to achieve this? Thanks in advance.

Hello, I’m hoping someone can tell me what the expected behaviour is for this functionality in IFS Cloud (24R2/25R1). Scenario:Create a work order and work task. Generate a Maintenance Purchase Requisition from the work task. Convert the requisition to PO. The costs log to Cost tab on the Work Task.Now apply a change order to the PO changing either the price or quantity of the item being purchased. Symptom:The changed price/qty from the PO line does not update the costs on the Work Task.  Question:Should changes on the PO be sending that cost back to the work task? If not, how do we then handle invoicing of Sales lines from the Work Task using Markup%(Cost +). The values will be incorrect. 

Hi all, is it possible to enable the reporting of times and expenses in the MWO App for future dates?As our technicians usually have Friday as travel day, they finish work and get the signature on the protocol on Thursday.Because the travel time and the mileage (expense) cant be entered for the next day, we have to work around.There is the possibility to add return travel in the Report In window, but this leads to an error and makes it impossible to complete the visit.I guess, this is because the return travel is booked as a Work Task Clocking, but we are using the NGSM with Requests / Request Work Tasks.The easiest solution would be to make it possible to enable future reportings. That would eliminate all problems regarding this topic. Thanks,Chris
