Hi All,

We’re seeing some pretty severe performance hits with our Zebra Handhelds since upgrading from Apps 10 to IFS Cloud.

These devices are android based and using the scanit app.

It appears that if the scanner sits for 48 hours, when it is used again the WaDaCo actions take about 15-18 seconds to respond (each scan or “click”).

Our fix is to reimage the device. It then works fine until they go unused again. Then they slow down.

These things were rock solid in Apps 10. So this is a bad look for us with the upgrade.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike

@mfrejik Hi, Have you found a fix for this. We seem to be having the same painful issue with the Zebra devices (android 14, 15). The Android 12, 13 devices seem to be anaffected.

Cheers.

Unfortunately, no.

Both IFS support & Zebra support are still looking into it.

@mfrejik thank you, that’s not promising (but not surprising lol). Just want to check if you noticed the below combination with the same symptom. I’ve tried with an Oppo phone, it works well and fast when connected to mobile data, but the app shows the symptom that you mentioned when I connected to the office wifi (Internet speed is not an issue, though). See the videos. Did you notice any link with the type of data connection from the device to IFS, or was it purely the idle time?
