Case quantities & Packing instructions

We have parts that are sold by the each, but our customer always buys them in case quantities (ex: 10 each). We cannot convert the 10 each to 1 case for various reasons, so I’d like to be able to use packing instructions to pack them in case quantities to avoid having the shipping personnel manually enter the weights and dims of each of the packages and then add the appropriate amount to the case. For Example:Part 82975 is shipped out as ten per carton in a 82122 box.I have created a Handling Unit Type of 82122 with the weights and dims of the box. We use this box on quite a few cases for this customer. I also created a packing instruction called C82975 which will then connect the 82122 box. I can then add the handling units using Apply Packing Instructions and adding the number of cases (in this example, 12) Then, I still need to add the ten each manually to the handling units to get the correct weights and dims. Shipping Unattached Lines

Example. I have two shipment lines attached to a Shipment. Line 1 with qty 10 has 8 in my first handling unit and the reminaing 2 in my second handling unit. Line 2 of my shipment is not in a handling unit. Is there a way to complete this Shipment?

Having problems matching Payment from BGMAX File

Hi, I have used the BGMAX template to upload an external payment to an APP10 enviroment. The ‘Payment Reference’ in the File and the invoice is the same. However it doesn’t match the invoice and is trying to create a Parked Payment because the Customer ID is null. Has anyone worked with BGMAX customer payment file before and had the same problem? if so what were the steps taken to overcome? Thank you! Pamith

Service Contract SLA - Apps 10

Is anyone aware of use cases for the SLA attached to a service contract? We can create an SLA template, which can have multiple lines included into the template with different response and resolution targets. It seems that the SLA only considers the first template line - we cant work out why. Any help from the community would be appreciated

Terminate Employee

Hi - When completing the Terminate Employee wizard, IFS prompts for Employee Status (After Termination). When i enter a value in this nothing changes, is there a background job or something that is supposed to run that changes the employee status? I feel like i am missing something obvious here?

Error when creating a new Instance of MWS

Print pick for multiple lines in Part Needs

In the part need screen, you are able to click multiple parts to print out. however if there are 3 parts on 1 request/task, it will print out 3 separate print picks and generate 3 separate shipments. whereas if its done on the request screen it will put everything in 1 shipment / print pick has anyone had a similar issue? is there any way of fixing this? Dialog Box not on top

Hi, We have IFS Applications 9 and run the application mostly on Win 10 computers. We have a problem with dialog boxes not being “on top”. The dialog box gets stuck behind and locks the entire computer with no possibility to access the task manager or any other application. The only thing to do is to press the power button on the PC. Very frustrating! Anyone have any experience of this problem and (hopefully) a solution? Thanks in advance!

Renaming an MWS instance

We want to install a new TEST-environment and name it to IFSTEST3 (the copy is from IFSTEST2). I have already made a RMAN restore and have the new DB copy ready. But how to create a new instance the easiest way? We have 139 deliveries and I don´t want to install all these manually.

Custom Layouts or Custom Fields Disappear

Is anyone else experiencing issues where custom layouts or fields disappear on the users? We are using a combination of base profiles with personal profiles. The solution thus far has been to have the user uncheck the custom layout button within properties but then check it back and everything resets to normal. Some users are fine with this but then some users say they have to do this often.

ADFS and DB authentication " mixed mode" in App10

I have a customer who wants to know following. In our Apps 9 environment, we use a mix of AD authenticated users and DB authenticated users. The AD authenticated users are essentially named users, while the DB authenticated users are manufacturing "workcenter" users. With Apps 10, we plan to use ADFS authentication (that's what we have implemented in our test environment.) Our question is whether or not we will be able to continue with the DB authenticated accounts for the "workcenter" users. Is it possible to do "mixed" authentication with some users going through ADFS and some users going through DB authentication? If so, how would we go about enabling it?

Hi all, We have been working with IFS on this issue for several days but without success, and I am losing faith. I have asked for escalation but in the meantime, I wonder if anyone has ideas on what is going on here. Issues: If we try to Download All Packages, we see the first error We see errors 2 and 3 shown below with any Employee/Person form This issue occurs on our Live, Test and Dev instances (Live and Test/Dev are on different physical servers) We do not know exactly when the issue occurred as we do not add new employees often Attempted Fixes: Used F1Mage.exe to recreate signed application Reconfigured server Restored to backup of “instance” Uninstalled .NET update and restarted servers Deleted “C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0” folder Run “rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache” on client PC Nothing works! CRM Access Scenario

Hello! I’ve a scenario in CRM where there a 3 users. CRM User 1 (only has access to Business Lead) CRM User 2 (only has access to Business Lead) ADM User (has access to leads created by CRM User 1 & CRM User 2. Additionally, has access to Customers/ Customer Orders). Now, CRM users only have to create the lead and perform business activities. The conversion of lead to customer and then creation of customer order is assigned to ADM user. But at the same time, ADM user must not be able to view all of the Leads, Customers as there will be other groups with 1 ADM & 2 CRM users(to achieve this, I’ve added the ADM user to Lead, Activity, Opportunity & Customer filters using Access Group). CRM users have to add the ADM user to each of the lead/ activity they create manually, so that it may be available to ADM user. (This is kind of a site based crm scenario which I’m trying to cater through Access Groups.) Is there any option to auto-add the ADM users (supervisors) to each entry

Database Objects Symbols

Does anyone have a decoder ring for database objects as to what the symbols and colors mean? Some text is blue, some is black, some have a diamond that isn’t filled and others it’s filled. My assumption is that it means either granted or only granted query, but it would be nice to know for sure what it all means. Thanks!
