DefColVisibility is a Profile Entry for table pages, but I’m not sure what it does.  I get that ColVisibility is used to show/hide columns.  I figured DefColVisibility would be something like Default Column Visibility so I set the value to false (0) for one of the columns and it didn’t do anything.  If the “Def” prefix doesn’t mean default, what does it mean?

We are trying to batch process our external vouchers for the first time.  We have changed the Server Directory parameter in System Parameters for Accounting Rules from NULL to a server path that the Oracle server should be able to read/write to. When Batch Process is selected in External Voucher Assistant  Process Options, and the FileType/Parameter SetID/File Template values are selected in the second screen of the Assistant the ‘Next’ button does not become available to establish a schedule.  Is there more set-up involved, or are there any tips as to what the server path syntax should be?  It is entered as:\\XXXifstest01.XXXXX.local\d$\XX_DIRECTORIES\MIGR10\XXXXX_FILES\We are on Apps 10.

I am using Contexts in Aurena and using Context mapping by user groups (all working well in UPD10) HOWEVER what I would like to know is does anyone know how to duplicate a context.   Reason being - I have created a context for Frontline but I have 3 user groups that need to use this context and context mapping will not allow me to assign more then one user group (unless I’m doing that wrong as well) and I don’t want to have to do all the page updates in each new context. Hope this makes sense and somebody has an answer.  :-)

Hi Team, I created service request from customer order type SEO but I cannot see ‘Customer Owned’ object id connected to service request. Hello - looking for any Oracle database experts out there….We use a database backup tool named Unitrends to backup our instance of IFS.  The tool basically leverages RMAN to backup Oracle using the ARC archive files created.  We are having an issue when trying to run the process, has anyone ever seen the following error? We are using Windows Server 2012 R2 as our database server:I am struggling to understand how to grant a Windows user account DBA privileges?  Any ideas on this?Many thanks!!

This seems like it should be easy but I cannot figure it out.  I want to create a custom event for the purchase_order_line_tab using  the execute online sql action.  The goal is when a PO line is entered, use the value from one field, use that in a function to return a value and insert that value into another field for the same PO line.  For a test I can just hard code the value for now.  If I was just creating a trigger I would do something like below.  Any suggestion on what I need to do to get this to work. declare  a_ varchar2(20);begin  a_ := 'Test Result';  :NEW.part_revision := a_;end; ThanksPhil

Can someone educate me of the hierarchy where the Price on the PO line is fetched? Say, when we have an active Supplier Agreement, a Blanket PO, Supplier for Purchase Part record, etc. Not sure what are the other price fetching windows are, but let’s say all are active.  Also if you have an F1 Documentation link to explain further about the above hierarchy, please send that too. Hi all, We have a requirement from our client where we need to control fields visibility based on Request Type. Using client script we can easily do this, our problem is that some fields appear on two different tabs (for the same request type it should be visible on TAB A but not on TAB B).  Do you know if it is possible to control the visibility on a specific tab? Or if there is any event we can use to trigger the script (we tried the GotFocus event, but nothing happened)? We also tried to use the name to register property of the field at UI Designer, but it seems the setcontrolvisibility function only accepts the “real” DB field name on the DB… Thanks in advance,João Oliveira

Hi, I've got a question with regard to IFS Aurena. In the time registration UI, in the side bar of the list of employees, the employee's name is not visible on each list item. However, an icon is visible denoting the initials of the employee. Is the is the default behaviour? How can I make the names visible? I also noticed the same behaviour in other UIs such as expenses to manage. That's why I'm uncertain if I have set up the system correctly. Can you give some hints to fix this?

Help please, We bring in the field VENDOR_NO on the DEMAND_LINES, SCHEDULE LINES,However when I look at the incoming customer schedule I can not see this field or the data. Does anyone know where is kept? I am asking as we need to put this detail on our out going ASN message.Thanks in advance for your help, Sarah

We have a customer in Germany that requires .xml reporting for invoices.  We tried using a .rdl report from IFS to generate the .xml successfully.  However, the report shows our Parent US company name on it and not our subsidiary from Europe.  Even though the invoice is for the other Company (FR200)in IFS.  How do we update/fix the .rdl to have the Europe company name on the report instead of US? 

Hello,We are using IFS 7.5, I know it’s a little old.  Anyways, I have a couple questions. Sometimes I need to enter/voucher invoices without a PO so I enter everything manually such as the account and cost center.  I have noticed that sometimes when we pass the plan pay date the payment does not go out.  It kind of seems like it gets stuck in the middle between me vouchering an invoice and payment being made.  Can anyone answer why this happens?  When I pull up the entry and I want to cancel the entry and re-enter it I get an error saying that the “invoice is used in payment order” which leads to my second question.   Is there an option on the payments side that can push the invoice payments through.  As of right now the only way I can try and fix this is by someone on the payments side going into the system and searching for the supplier ID that didn’t pay out and cancel the payment.  Then on the invoice entry side I can cancel the invoice and re-enter it and hope that payment goes

What step of the Supplier Agreement flow that we enter a Project ID? In the planned state or after in the Agreement, IFS won’t let me enter a Project ID either from the LOV or manually. I was wondering if a Supplier Agreement can be used for a Project based purchase at all? The business requirement is, the project needs to release a PO through an active agreement.   

Hi, we would like to be able to enter time cards on behalf of other employees.We know already how to do it if we are in the same project team. But how to do the same if we are NOT in the same project team? We systematically get this error message: “You are not allowed to enter Project Time/Cost Reporting for this Employee of company XXX.I guess there could be a way via Access Attribute, but i can’t figure out what should be changed to grant this right.Thanks to help if you have any clue ...

For some reason Search with Keywords does not functioning in APP10 Customer database. Is there any specific setup? 

From Document Class Management > Persons and Groups user NETKLK is enabled to create documents from doc class : PO-S1.But not from doc class PO-S2. Therefore when searching for document class when creating a new document revision with criteria PO-% user will get only the doc class PO-S1.But when user is trying to attach a document he/she will get document revisions created from doc class PO-S2 as well. It is also possible to attach a created documents from doc class PO-S2 . How to restrict attaching documents from document classes that user does to have permission to create new revisions?Thanks In Advance
