Hi, We are global company, and start using APP10 to set up multiple company reporting. We need knowledge on this. we have bunches of engineers from Canada are working on a Belgium project. They are trying to use the Belgium report code to do the time reporting, but not be able to. We know that could be resolved by MCPR setup, how to do that? your step-by-step documentation is very much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,I have got a request from a customer, who is using IFS Application 7.5 to change the attachment name when sending an automated email from the purchase order screen. Unfortunately, with APPS7.5, we don’t have report rules. Unlike in higher IFS versions. We cannot use the ‘PDF_FILE_NAME’ attribute to change the attachment name, as it gets overridden by the core logic. We are not allowed to customize/override the standard code too. But we can implement custom packages and can use custom menus etc.. to come up with a solution.Since we cannot override and change the standard code, I was trying to implement the same logic from a custom package. Inside the custom logic, it creates a new print job and set the attachment name as what’s requested and using command_sys.mail()  to send the attachment. But it has failed with the below error on the Application messages.Seems that, it’s failing inside the command_sys. Could you please help me to fix this issue? Can we get this error when the pdf f

Any idea why IFS created bar chart elements in a lobby have a use TOP N option, but when I create one the option isn’t there?

Hello,We are working with our Customer Contact Management for leveraging IFS as our CRM. We have our customer sites split out as separate customers to allow for different rep assignments and visibility at the site level of a Customer 360 view. We are running into an issue where the Customer Contact’s Manager is located at a different site (therefore a different customer in IFS). Is there a way around this? Is this functionality on the roadmap for IFS? The only workaround i found was to add the manager to the site where his/her employee was located. Thanks! Carrie

When creating a new business opportunity we have noticed that some customer ID’s with a active market value is not being pulled into the field market on the business opportunity. Any reason why this may be happening?

When adding a new activity in Mobile (Mobile Edge 15.3.0.0.1), we need to find the required activity by searching on the description.  We really need to be able to do a complex search, such as %EU%cal%10% or the like.  Is there any way we can use wildcards in mobile searches?  I tried using % and also * but they don’t act as wildcards.  Thanks.

Hi I have a finished good with a standard cost (BOM & Routing exist) but I want it at zero cost in my inventory, ie all actual cost on the shop order comes as a shop order deviation in P&L. I guess the best idea is to set the item to ‘zero cost only’   but when I try to save it I get an error   But I have no idea how to set the cost of the product to zero!Anybody now how to move forward here ? Thanks,    Søren

Hello community. We want to use the system event NEXT_AUTH_PURCH_ORDER to mail the acknowledger/authorizer. This works, with a new action with adjusted email text. Our version is IFS10 UPD10. However, the authorization setup is done with groups, for example: PROJECTS.Now the email is sent to all members within the group PROJECTS when a purchase order needs to be authorized.  I see 2 ways to have it sent to the specific authorizer (= project manager).either a possibility to add a field to the event (if possible, how to do?) change the field MESSAGE_TEXT and add information there (if possible, how to do?)If neither of the above is possible, can anyone tell me where to find the original event in pl/sql so i can create a copy and change that ? thank you in advance for your help.

Hello Community,We are using IFS APPS 8. What is Back Fulsh , Auto Report of Operations and Simplified Material check and its uses while reciveing shop orders. For teting purpose I have create a shop order with Lit Size of 1000.Then I have manually reserved this shop order with only one qty  of component parts in Material Tab.Then I have Issued manually One qty. Then I have reported total 1000 qty. Then I have Checked Simplified Material check option in Receive Shop order window in Material and Operations and received manually 1000 qty. This behavior of shop order receipt does not required coponent parts stock in system. If only one component is reserved and issue then user can receive 1000 qty shop order in system. I need to know what is the purpose of this Simplified Material check tab. RegardsDeepak

Hi,  is there any other way how to set access rights for Aurena Users than clicking every item in “Projections” pannel in “Permission set” dialogue ? Some king of faster way how to allow admin to prepare permission sets for Aurena users.  Thanks, for answers Best regards,  Pavel

When the Site is set to auto build tracked structures, what logic is used for allocating reserved lots of component parts to the parent serials/lot(s) on a shop order? What determines how much of each lotgoes where?

dear all,           I want to give CCombobox a default value when I open the page. How can I implement it? I tried to assign it a value under the load event, but the page doesn't show up correctly

For the life of me I am 99% certainthere is a setting in IFS that allows you to either block or allow 3-way AP matching  of items received on a PO that has not passed quality inspection.  If I am correct, where is this setting in APPS?  If I am wrong then please let me know. Thanks,  Curtis Taylor

I want to generate purchase requisition when the levels of some parts get to a certain level but first i have to activate a kanban circuit. Somebody know how can i active a kanban circuit i use IFS10.

I have a manufactured part I only want to build when I have actual demand, not to forecast. I would use a planning method of next level demand, however, there are very long lead times for the purchased raw material to build the component and I would like the Finished Good forecast to drive requirements for the purchased material. Consider this example…Finished Good – BikeManufactured Component – WheelPurchased – Tire I want to purchase enough tires to support the Finished good demand. However, I don’t want to assemble the wheels unless there is actual demand for the bike. Reason being there is a very long lead time on tires and a very high cost of assembling wheels. Is it possible to not have MRP generate requisitions for the component or finished good, but still generate purchase reqs for raw materials? Is it possible to accomplish this, and still have the make parts included in CRP?

Listed here is what I can tell is the list I have available to myself to search for approvals.  I don’t see where I can search approvals on projects or requisitions.  Anyone know if this is an option?

We use Call Centre Cases extensively and we control access internally using Support Organisations and Case Types of “Local”. This stops Users from seeing Cases that should be limited from their access. We are now looking to use Global Solutions but the same access controls do not seem to exist. It appears that regardless of your Support Organisation access you are able to see all Global Solutions and edit them if the permission sets allow it. Is anyone aware of any method for controlling access on which Global Solutions Users can see?

Hi All, In IFS Applications 10, when statuses are updated on Work Tasks the Work Order status does not follow the Work Tasks progress fully.Work Order and Work Task statuses follow each other in the process, but not to status Finished. New functionality is added to let user decide if the Work Orders should get status Finished when all connected Work Tasks are set to status Finished or Cancelled. I would like to know whether there is a setting to change this behavior? Thanks & Best Regards,Nipun

Hi All, We are about to GoLive on IFS10 and are looking to understand the functionality of the credit management system. We have set up our collection path and our reminder letters etc but we would like to understand if we can place a query on invoices at customer level. For example, their product is not to the spec requested and as such they will not be paying us until the issue is resolved, we would place the customer in query and as such our aged debt report would exclude the queried customer. We think we’ve found a way of doing this at invoice level, but are intrigued to know if we can do it at a higher customer level? Thanks in advance!

I have downloaded and validated some BR reports from a TEST DB and want to move then to LIVE. I`ve tried just opening the file from the download location and also importing but not having any success, is there a particular method I should follow for this?

When Report Execution Window is displayed after a short time we are receiving the (Not Responding).  We are getting continual time-outs and freezing when fetching data from server.

I have created 2 new contexts/scopes within Aurena based on job functions for 2 areas within our company. - Invoice Entry & Invoice Authorization.I am having an issue with context mappings. I know that the attributes that can be used to map a context are: Company, WageClass, Ledger, UserGroup, User.I have only been able to get the appropriate context to apply when I map with Company and WageClass (which won’t really work for us). And Company, while it does work, won’t really work for us since users in the 2 job functions could be in the same company. So,for the User attribute, what is considered ‘user’? I have tried Identity/Database ID, Directory ID (we use SSO) and I still cannot get the context to apply once logged in.For Usergroup, is this referring to a User account usergroups? If so, I have tried USERGROUP = 100 and have had no luck. I even tried a Finance User group just in case...same failed result. And for the last option, Ledger, I am not sure what that is referring to and
