When Shop order is created through project Delivery, operation number is missing on the shop order material tab. User has to update the operation number manually on the Material tab after shop order creation. Is this the standard behavior of the IFS Application or is there a way that we can make the application fetch the relevant operation number?

Hi, You can add a note on a supplier invoice in the menu Supplier Invoices Analysis (right mouse button > Notes). I want to display the note text (‘test’ in the screenshot below) in Business Reporter, therefore I need to create a new field (Relations for Facts) with a sql statement. But I do not know the correct sql statement. Is there someone who can help me?

I am trying to add a user to a new profile. Because I have some custom field only available under a different profile. I know I can edit the personal profile. But I have more than 20 users that need to be add to the profile where I have the custom field. We are currently using IFS9

During investigation of customer's environment revealed that the INACTIVE session count is over 1500 always, Should the INACTIVE session be killed automatically when the idle time expired? Checked the Database profile IFS_INETRNAL which is used for Database users, the IDLE_TIME is set to DEFAULT. Should this be set to UNLIMITED ? Should there be a time on MAX IDLE TIME parameter OR leave as is where it always maintain 1500 odd INACTIVE sessions. This inactive sessions will hold on to resources with no legitimate reason and will create Possible performance issue. Any recommendations/changes needs to stop  INACTIVE session count getting higher values ?

Help,I’ve been doing lots of development on a project that has involved creating bespoke lobbies, all of this has been done in our test environment and is still being tested/developed. However due to a customer requirement our other site has requested that the test system be updated with our live system data asap. So my question is can I export/save the lobbies, data sources and elements I’ve created so that once the test system has been updated i can re import them back in? Thanks

Hello, Does IFS provide a way to set the credit limit a supplier has provided a company similar to the credit limit on a customer record? Our accounting department would like to have IFS enforce a credit limit from a supplier so purchasing can not release purchase orders which would exceed our credit limit with a supplier.   I’ve searched on the supplier record but I could not locate such a field. Regards,William Klotz

Hello,We are using Apps 10 UPD11.  A user is trying to save a search but the Save button is not enabled.  I’ve checked the permission sets but can’t seem to find the missing piece. I can log into the environment as two different users - one user can save the search, one user cannot. Is there something that turns that on/off for a user?  I’d like to figure out which specific object, etc. needs to be granted rather than granting additional permission sets because that may solve this problem but create others by granting undesirable access.  I tried finding the solution in the online documentation but I couldn’t find it there. Thank you!Joann This user can’t save the search  This user can save the search

Hello to all the Accounting members, we are tying to configure IFS to automatically reverse a GL voucher entry after the first of the month.  This is the classic accrual type of GL entry whereby we make a GL voucher transaction entry in one month and auto reverse it the next month after the actual charges post to the balance sheet.  When creating a manual voucher entry, we do not see anywhere we can set a reversal.  We are on IFS APPS9, UPD16.  How can this be achieved in IFS?  There has to be a way as this is Accounting 101.Thanks!Mark

Hi IFS CommunityThis is Andrés Palacios  from Ifs Spain.Perhaps somebody from technology can respond me in quick wayWhen we use this options of Apps 10 create_backup -clone -update or create_backup -clone or create_backup. Must it be the extended server stopped or we can run these option with the extended server running in a normal way?.I always run with the extended server stopped to have more security…is it possible in other way?.Regards

Hi, Can someone explain the correct meaning of ‘Apply Last Step as Authorizer’ check box in the Authorizer Assigning Rule window?

Hi All,Users lost privileges after we created custom fields, is there anything else I should do? #IFS9 Please help. regards,Hari

Hello, I would like some help to understand how postings works for Service and maintenance module (IFS V8).I need to use operations and time reports on work orders but the use of these functions create postings on which I have some issues. After authorizing postings, when I want to change WO status to Finished, I get an error message : " There is no project cost/revenue element to code part value ". I tried to Exclude from project follow-up the involved code part value but I had another issue when I changed WO status "Project Connections cannot be created for this account". I would like to know how to configure postings/accounts in order to finish work orders with operations and time report ? Is it required to set up a project cost/revenue element to use postings in Service and maintenance module ?Also, I don't understand what is the link between work orders and project because in my tests I never linked work orders with project activities, Regards,Nicolas

I tried to change the initial and related query not to sync the OPEN task_status type task. I put the where conditions in sync like Task.task_id Not equals to OPEN . Once I update the task_status to Open and put any owner its getting synced to mobile. I don't want this data to sync

I have a customer whose industry is Textiles (rolls of fabric).  The fabric can stretch during the manufacturing process.  For example a roll might be 2000 ft when it is loaded onto the ream, at the end of production the fabric stretched and we were able to produce 2020 ft.  We have set up the roll as Reserve/Issue of Manual and the other components as reserve/backflush from floor stock. The customer does not run 1 roll of 2000 ft but more like 10,000 ft.  What I am finding is that even though we have set up our rolls as Manual (reserve/issue), the system wants to overcome from the next roll.  If we select ‘simplified’ on the receipt of shop order, then we receive an error on the items to be backflushed from floor stock.Ideally we would want to be able to select simplified for the rolls and backflush for the other components. How would we set this up to accomplish this?  This is a typical industry requirement.Thank you!

HI all (this is IFS2003 - I know, I know...) I recall someone long ago creating a Saved query that could be shared amongst our users, that looked for (say) Approvals for that user. The dynamic code meant it could be passed around without need to change the Advanced query. For instance, instead of USERID  = ‘BLOGGSF’,I thought we could use USERID = (select Ifsapp.fnd_session_api.get_fnd_user()from dual)but this generates the error “fnd_session_api is not a procedure or is undefined”How can I get this to work, or is there an alternative?Would be good to do this for PersonId too.  Thanks

Hi, We have a customer in Mexico and want to update UUID through Web Service. To update UUID in Manual Customer Invoice, did IFS Provide Standard Web Service to update UUID.  Regards, Kishore Nenwani

FIFO is the recommended Inventory part Valuation Method for our organizational users by the Finance Department. However, we noticed that some of the part creators in IFS in the past have incorrectly created parts with Standard Cost with ‘Cost Per Part’  at Cost Level. There are already transactions in IFS with this incorrect valuation method. (There are couple of Parts with ‘Cost Per Lot Batch’ at Cost level as well) .  Now I need to change those parts’ Inventory valuation Method back to FIFO. What type of impact will it have if I change them directly in the Inventory Part window? (Plan is to have FIFO with ‘Cost Per Part’ for the majority of the parts and Weighted Average with ‘Cost Per Lot Batch’ for the rest)  One of the special scenarios we use is that we receive via ‘Receive Inventory Part’ the project leftover quantities (since they were previously paid by the project) at zero cost which reduces the inventory unit cost overall. But when we issue the same parts I guess the unit co

We are using the Service Quotation functionality. We are updating costs via the Operations and Other Demands tabs (within the Work Order tab). When performing updates which change the Cost or Selling price of a quotation, the ‘Calculation Required’ field should become ticked to indicate that the user should perform a RMB ‘Calculate Total Cost and Quoted Price’. However, there are certain actions that do not tick this box, even though the actions themselves will have an effect on the Cost and Selling price. I have noted below the instances of where this box does/doesn’t tick. The end result is that users can potentially proceed with a quote, without the totals in the ‘Quotation Totals’ tab being accurate. Does Tick Creating new line in Operations tab Deleting line in Operations tab Changing Sales Part in Operations tab Creating new line in Other Demands tab Deleting line in Other Demands  tab Changing the Cost field in Other Demands  tab  Doesn't Tick Changing Planned Hours in Operations
