Is there a way in IFS to not allow a technician to be clocked into multiple assignments at once from different WO’s?  I am pretty sure the functionality exists on the manufacturing side on the shop floor workbench but I don’t see a way to do this on the Service & Maintenance side of IFS Apps 10.  Any ideas? Thanks,  Curtis Taylor

Hello, We are having an issue with the tax calculation on an RMA not returning as expected. (Example below for specifics.)Our question is, Why is the tax calculating the total tax amount for quantity 2 from the order on each line of the RMA? Has anyone else run across this? Example:Customer OrderQuantity: 2 Total Net Amount: 1485.12 (742.56 ea) Total Tax amount: 137.37 RMALine 1 Price: 742.56 Tax: 137.37 Line 2 Price: 742.56 Tax: 137.37

Could someone please let me know if there is a possibility to make Survey Answers visible to a large group of employees in IFS?If it is possible, how can that be done? 

When you have a customer order that is invoiced you get an entry M30 that also shows the quantity that was on the customer order.  This entry is a negative amount for the M30 posting. Is it possible to configure the quantity to display as a negative as well to match the sign of the $ amount?  for example: 

We upgraded from IFS App75 to App10 (UPD9) recently.  Earlier when we printed the Shipment Proforma Invoice it used to print the Unit value. Now it doesn’’t. Then found out that the this Unit Price is actually fetched from the Customs Value field on the CO line / Shipment line. Isn’t this a change of behavior from App75?  Is there a way how the Customs Value is fetched into the CO line? Why can’t it directly be fetched from ‘Price/Curr’ field like before? Manually entering a value in the new field ‘Customs Value’ is something the users are already complaining about. Or have I missed a step here?

Hello,I’ve heard that, at least in IFS21R1, there will be no support for IAL settings. I know that an IAL is view in the database and IFS (up to version 10) functionality to support this.One item is the option to schedule the IAL to be prepared.What will be the method to handle IALs in IFS Cloud if they are no longer supported?This comes from the question: If an upgrade is done from IFS 10 to IFS Cloud, how to upgrade/support the existence of these IALs. 

Dear All,In EAM/ESM Solution we define resource group and configure data in Resource navigator. We add person id’s for identified resource groups in resource navigator as well. Cost is defined at resource group level in APPS 10.In one of my project, customer is managing facilities management services where work involved is pest control activity or daily/weekly facilities maintenance. Often IFS Client (were we are implementing IFS) needs to give a Service Quotation for Call off jobs (jobs not linked to service contract and will be as an when required basis) to their customer. Here requirement is say service engineers cost has to be planned in service quotation then the cost linked to resource group linked will be fetched. But practically the salary of each service engineer will be different and they want to calculate personnel cost based on cost of resource id and not on cost of resource group. Conditions like salary hikes, resignations will also be cost constraints to be considered her

In IEE there is a tab called ‘Linear Asset’ tab in PM action window, but it Aurena client it cannot be found in the PM action window. 

A supplier invoice preliminary booked in April, with cost from 1st January to 30th June, I want to do a period allocation for these 6 months, but January and February are closed. Is it not possible to get a correct allocation with a cost of three months booked in March and then one sixth in April, May and June? I get this error message, One or more Period(s) in the interval are closed. I don’t want to change, From Date, cause if I do change to 1st March, I don't get correct distribute, then I have to change percentage or amount manuall.

Can you export IFS user accounts using IEE in Apps 9? If not, have you done this using SQL script? I know you can batch-create users based on the imported xml/txt file, but can you export existing accounts to a file? Mateusz KlosAhead ERP Consulting Inc. 

Hello, this question is about automating who receives commissions using IFS 8. We have multiple rep’s that can receive a commission depending upon which of our product lines (Brands) we sell. From what we know, you can have multiple “Commission Receiver” assigned to a customer, but how do you automate who should get the commission (only one should get it)? Up to this point we have handled this by having multiple customers and a bit of a manual process for our customer service team as they enter the orders. Feels like there has to be a better way..

Is it possible to decide what columns that are shown in the top dropdown if you have multiple entrys (in this specific case multiple invoices in Posting proposals)? I would like to have PO Ref as one of the columns when i press the drop down arrow so that it is easier for me do find the correct invoice. So it would be Supplier, Name, Series ID, Invoice Identity and PO Ref. Thanks in advance!

I can see different user in my company when they access the Reporting/Ad-Hoc Reporting they can see Explore Quick Reports. However, I can see others do not see the Explore Quick Reports options.When I try to see the data Source I found tbwQuicReportsListWhen I go to the Presentation Object Grants I can see the Permission Sets granting ‘Quick Reports’Permission Set FND_ENDUSER  However, all the user in my company have FND_ENDUSER, Why other can see Explore Quick Reports and why other cannot see Explore Quick Reports?How can I make Explore Quick Reports visible to other?

Hi,I’m trying to grant a user the ability to see the full list of employees under HR → Employee Management → Employees. When they search they get nothing, and when they populate they only see their own name in the list. I copied the permissions for this user from another user that can see the whole list so it’s not a permission issue. Does anyone know where I go to get this user the ability to see all employees? ThanksMike
