Hello,In the Service and Maintenance module in Apps9 the ‘Prepare Work Order’ screen and ‘Report In Work Order’ screen both use the ActiveSeparate logical unit and the ACTIVE_SEPARATE_UIV view.However the field Err_Class is only available in the Report In screen, is it possible to pull this field into the Prepare screen as an insertable and updatable field, and if yes how? The values for Err_Class are determined by another table, the WorkOrderClassCode logical unit, not sure if this impacts what I want to do.Thanks Sarah

I wrote a small projection to download documents. It seems that we can’t assign BLOB variables with large size to binary variable in Projection (like more than 200KB). Is there a workaround for this?I tried to use “CreateAndImportDocument” service provided by IFS and use method ” Invoke action CheckOut”, but failed (get “ODP_DESERIALIZATION_ERROR”)Do you have any suggestions to download large files?

I am very new to IFS ERP and am attempting to educate myself throughout the software.  Can anyone please shed some insight into converting Business Leads into Business Opportunities and why I can’t find the converted opportunity anywhere?  I have tried this at least a dozen times using new customer, new prospects, existing customers.  The opportunity is nowhere to be found.  I understand once converted, the lead goes away.

Hi, Community,some suppliers they never post the label outside the package, hence, sometimes, we have to register arrival to Arrival location, then we open the package and scan the serials.  we are trying to utilizing the REGISTER_ARRIVALS → Detail TAB → RECEIVE_SERIALS_TO_ARRIVAL. We checked this box, and we wish system could bypass the serial no scanning even the part is a serial tracking part. but it doesn’t work, system still ask for serial no when we are doing register arrivals. how to better understand this RECEIVE_SERIALS_TO_ARRIVAL? how to utilize it?  need your expertise. Thank you. 

Hi all, In the customer order process, after customer order line partially delivery for a line with non-inventory sales part, I’m creating a customer invoice and this invoice is then posted/authorized.If my customer rejects my delivery (for example because he disacreases the quantity), I’m able to create a customer credit invoice.However, I’m not able to cancel the delivery : IFS raises an error message due to the connection of the delivery to an existing invoice. As a consequence, I cannot create a new delivery with the corrected quantity and then create a new invoice with this delivered quantity.Is there a setup in the application to allow a delivery cancellation if the invoice has been credited? Thanks in advance for your help. Requirement - Example:On a customer order, I have a line with a number of engineer hours : 100h.I deliver and invoice 30h.The customer rejects the invoice, he agrees only on 25h.I need to create the credit invoice and cancel the delivery for the 30h.Then I ha

Hello,  I have been working through creating custom fields for the ProjectBalance LU I am trying to have Category1_id, Category2_id, and DEFAULT_CHAR_TEMP all from the Project LU added as columns. I added all 3 fields successfully but they coming up blank. These are supposed to be read-only fields as well. Both Category2 and Char Template are using referenced fields and then I tried to use SQL to pull in the data but either way it is coming up blank.  Does anyone know why or can lead me in the direction to figure out what might be going on? Thanks,Eli

Earlier I had a question on how to receive a new lot batch with zero cost and @Lahiru Dissanayake clarified it through this post.  No problems there, his recommendation works for those parts.Now I tried to receive a set of parts with FIFO as the Inventory valuation Method and ‘Cost Per Part’ as the cost level.  I can receive them through ‘Receive Inventory Part’ in IFS and it reduces the total inventory cost as it averages it. That’s ok.  Now let’s say, I issue some of those parts. The Unit Cost and the total inventory value becomes zero.   Can you recommend a way to do that without total becoming zero please?

Hi All, I am getting below error while login to the application. "Error===IFSAPP.GENERAL_SYS must be declared ifsapp^.General_SYS.Init_Centura_Session__( :lsCategoryRestriction, :lsLUList, :lsSettings, :lsUserGlobal, :lsSessionInfo )Error=== I am tring to login as IFSIMP(app owner) and their is no user clled IFSAPP in the system as mentioned in the error message.I found below actions from some old cases. 1. Deploy the  'General_SYS'  package and make sure that there are no deployment errors.- Could not find the above package from harvest to do a fresh deployment.  2. Inspect the 'SQL.INI' file. INSTRUCTIONS: In these types of error message, the appowner ID is always present before the "GENERAL_SYS.INIT_CENTURA_SESSION_" in the identifier. The fact that there is no User ID identified in this error message means that the system is not    recognizing any user ID as the IFS Application Owner. The SQL.INI file probably does not have the appowner identified. There should be a line in the IFS

Hi :)!In an UPD 9 as released environment I created a lobby based on the following setup.Element Designer:Data Source Designer:When the lobby is loaded the count is correctly displayed.When the lobby is clicked the navigation page is loaded but the relevant data (4 rows) is not been loaded. Hence a client DB call is not thrown. When the above lobby was imported to an UPD 10 as released environment the above issue did not get re-created. Further I have checked the permission set related to the objects and I didn’t notice any issue.Can someone please help me to find the root cause?Thanks in advance!

Is it possible to make an inventory type obsolete, unusable, etc. so that it can no longer be used? We are attempting to more accurately align and describe our inventory types, but seem unable to make the originals not show up as an option in transactions. Suggestions?

We want to be able to default the supply code for a configurable part to “Invent Order”. The system won’t allow it. Does anyone have a work around or suggestions for how to accomplish this?
