Hi folks,long time since my last topic here.I’ve got an interesting scenario here.My customer want to calculate the payment discount into the profit margin.I will find a PAY_TERM_ID in the CUSTOMER_ORDER_TAB.I hop to PAYMENT_TERM_TAB and will find the description.In PAYMENT_TERM_DETAILS_TAB is the field NET_AMOUNT_PERCENTAGE and inPAYMENT_TERM_DISC_TAB I will find DISC_PERCENT.So, if we expect that our customer will “draw” 2 % discount (Skonto) within first 15 or 30 or what so ever days we can calculate SalesPrice - 2% discount results in minus 2 % less profit margin.Now the problem:When I scan the PAYMENT_TERM_DISC_TAB I will find discount for a PT like“8 days 3%, 21 days net” so the 3 %”.But also I will find:“Prepayment 5%, 14 days 3%, 60 days net” and two (!) records in the PAYMENT_TERM_DISC_TAB  My question:How could we decide/see, is it payment discount or prepayment?Thank you for sharing your experience! All the best and stay healthy. Michael 

HIwe created manual supplier invoice with period allocation option.system created the voucher number x voucher type I.system approved the voucher but we are unable to post it and show this message There are no voucher no series for this voucher type and accounting_yeari created the voucher series for voucher type I in both 2021 and 2022.where is the error ? 

Hello Community,I wondered if there is a better way to reverse a Customer order from "Invoiced/Closed" to "Partially Delivered" without running a SQL update directly to the customer_order_tab?Can it be possible to run the modify (API) to do the reverse?Thanks,JL

IFS 10 update 11 regarding dates. I noticed that the duration on the work task originally sets the planned finish date after the planned start is entered. When you update the duration longer, the planned finish will recalculate based on that, but if you update the duration to a shorter time it does not update the planned finish. Is there a reason for that functionality or am I missing something in my data?Duration was at 4, entered planned start date/time of 10:00 AM and it ended at 3pm with the hour of lunch calculated.Duration changed to 20 and get a pop up which pushed out the planned finish.When you bring back to 6 hours it doesn’t re-calculate again. 

What would cause a quick report to lock-up IFS when exported to Excel?  I have a quick report that if viewed in IFS, will return the results quickly, but if I try to export the quick report to excel, IFS runs and runs and eventually locks up

We have a No Part PO line that was received in the wrong period - Finance wants us to change the receipt date from 8/31 to 9/01 - normally we would unreceive and receive again under new date however it doesn’t appear you can unreceive no part PO lines - any suggestions

Hi Altruists,I have configured all the necessary basic data to use the withholding table for tax calculation. But the problem is when I am doing any partial payment to a supplier invoice, on first payment it deducts full tax on invoice based on withholding table but when i do the second payment for the rest partial amount it deducts tax again.It would be great if anyone knows solution for this problem or any way around

Hi all, I want to limit access to a persistent custom field in a particular screen. For example, only members of a certain department should be able to tick this checkbox. Is there a possible solution within IFS without the need for additional customizations (i.e. without the need for a Custom Event if possible) Thanks

Hi Team, I have raised a PO against a Supplier who belongs to Switzerland i.e. in currency CHF.The Purchase Charge Types that will be added once we receive the goods are represented in currency INR.So, when I am adding the required Charge Type under Charges tab, I am not getting the correct Total Gross incl Chrg/Curr amountex:I have added a Part Order Line which results in Total Net Amt/Curr as 50 CHF.I have added below charges types in Charges Tab:Custom Duty- Rs 100Freight Charges-Rs 500& Custom Clearance- Rs 200Now I am getting the Total Gross incl Chrg/Curr amount as 850 which is incorrect.The Charges should be converted to CHF before adding into Total Net Amt/Curr. Request you to please help me in this.Thanks in Advance. Best Regards,Rakesh

Hi All We are on IFSv9 (Oracle 12c) and have yet to utilise the In-Memory functionality. Our database is roughly 500Gb in total size, with 470 global users. We have 300Gb of free RAM on our physical database host waiting to be used. I would love to know if you have made use of In-Memory. Did you see a measurable improvement on performance within IFS and more importantly if there are known pitfalls I should avoid. Would love to hear your experience of this feature, good and bad. Hello experts, In document management, can we set a certain time in days for step approval. Lets suppose, 5 people need to approve a document one by one. Can we set a limit on each step that each one shouldn’t take more than 5 days to approve,. If five days are crossed, it moves to another person. In case, the approver doesn’t either approve or reject due to any reason, how can we move to the next approver. Like Forward or bypass etc.Main idea is to restrict approve to prevent delay in approval process.Note: Using Group is not a option here, client uses individual as document approvers.Please advise. Regards

Hello Community, I am wondering if anyone has experience on RFID Tracking and knows if IFS is capable of utilizing RFID for fully automated asset tracking. The Idea is that we would want to Track Racking, Bins, Containers, Boxes etc.

We have created a Voucher Template for uploading gl across multiple companies.  On a manual multi-company voucher, there is a posting control that will debit/credit the inter-co gl’s.  This is not happening when we upload via External File Assistance.  Currently, it’s putting a debit to one company and a credit to the other company and the external voucher is out of balance since the inter-co offset did not occur. Is there a step we are missing on the template set up for a multi-co voucher? 

I wonder if somebody has done automation where a process needs to export a document to a shared drive?Any idea how to do this? Is there a tool in IFS to do the export?Thanks,JL 

We use Mobile edge on an Ipad for our actual astea v10 live environment. How can we connect to our Astea test v15 environment on the same Ipad so an engineer can continue using his device for daily operations and also test in the astea test v15 environment on the same device?

Hello all, I have recently noticed an access issue that I cannot seem to resolve. Currently, our Logistics group is setup with Query access to the Inventory Locations screen in IFS. They are able to access and view locations, however, they cannot print a barcode label. When a user RMBs on a given location, the option does not appear in the menu. I have run debug and checked the Permission Set, but I do not see where this access is granted. I still want to prevent them from adding/editing locations, but I would like for them to be able to print barcode labels as need. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,When generating limit year, initial value field is not available to enter if we use Carried Forward Absence type.  However, sometimes for some employees it is other way around that allows a Carry Forward absence type to limit generate but it does not allow normal absence type to limit generate where initial value field is blank. What is the logic behind? Why ‘Carry forward type’ some times allows to enter initial value field and sometimes not allow? Where to fix it?Please advise. Thanks in advanceRegardsNimesh

After a place merge in FSM6U9, the place record gets updated with a new modified_dttm and will be sent to the device in 24 hours (currently configured interval for that sync rule) or if someone clicks on sync now.- place_person doesn't get an updated modified_dttm and therefore will not be sent by the sync rule next time it runs in 3 hours or even if someone clicks on Sync Now. Would this be a limitation of the software or a bug?
