Hello

I would usually run the report below which is a 12 month income statement.

However there is a an account that doesn’t show, account 8060, which is a new account that was created to replace account 8055.  There has been activity in account 8060 so it should be a part of the income statement.    Would anyone have an idea of why the account is not showing in the report and how to fix?  Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi,

This is a report generator report. A custom report generator report.

Report generator is a report writing tool. Ideally when designing a report you would use selections based on account groups or account types or other such that new accounts would automatically be included in the selections. That process makes the report more future proof / more friendly for  changes.

It would appear that your row template IS detailed needs some attention.   A row template will have a multiple rows typically. A row for example can be accounts 5000 to 8000 as an example. So if we created an account within that range it may appear on the report (assuming no other filters).

In some less ideal cases a row could be a single account.  That could be a bad design as each row would be hard coded for a given account.  Ideally a row should be a collection of data presented in a given way.

Long way to word this, but you really need to review your row template, see the various sections of the report and look at the selections. It looks like a selection need to be tweaked so that the account is included.

If you need further assistance send images of the row template including the rows and the selections.

Best regards,

Thomas
